9:49 Mikey is the one that puts on a brave front, trying to keep his upbeat comedic side with splinter's absence, but when he sees splinter he's tearing up. He was probably taking it the hardest
This video honestly couldn't have dropped in my recommended at a more perfect time. I've already been in the middle of doing some introspective on where my attitude is in life, and in binging content about media to help with escapism, I've found myself relating way too much to the journeys of certain characters like Kratos, Hulk, Wolverine, and..... Raphael. People struggling with some combination of frustration about how cruel the world is, and self-loathing because of how they let that frustration leak out and affect their personal lives. It's fascinating with the Turtles as a whole honestly, how you can nearly always identify with a different one at any given time. When I was a "gifted kid" growing up in school, being told how much potential and smarts I had, but always feeling too lazy to live up to those expectations and just prioritizing enjoying life, obviously Mikey was my favorite back then. But now as somebody who's spent years watching evil and malicious people hold all the power and reap all the benefits, because honest-to-god good people have become too complacent with following rules, codes and laws designed to work against them, of course I have to find my angry and jaded self appreciating Raph a lot more nowadays. But then to watch it go deeper with how it ends up hurting his relationships with the people he loves, creating a toxic loop that gives him more ammunition to keep beating himself up... that definitely hurts me hard this week in particular lmao That relatability has certainly got me back in a bit of a Turtles mood though. The power of fiction. Thank you for this good TH-cam movie
I did not expect to tear up today watching a youtube video about TMNT but I did it anyway. Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience, it really resonated with me.
You get a sub for that personal story, so relatable. For me at that age, I didn’t have any grandparents or cousins, just my parents and sibling. I became sad and lonely but I never got angry at the world. Your story was really nice to hear and brought back memories. Keep up the awesome work 👍 Also, the more I see of Ralph, the more I love him so we have that in common too lol.
Damn...never did it ever think I could relate to someone like i have this video. With me it was donatello, but as I got older and looked back, I was really Ralph. As an adult looking back at their youth, TMNT got me through some very dark times, and like you, the 2007 movie was my first experience of it. Thanks for this video my dude. I look forward to future content of yours 🎉
Damn that opening was sick asf. This was all very beautiful to watch sir. Im so happy you were able to discover why you truly love tmnt and used tmnt to look inward towards yourself in deep reflection. I hope you a happy life forwards from now
This video is incredible, I started liking tmnt in 2013, same year my 2 brother's were born, when I was a kid I thought I was mikey, I wanted to be smart as donnie, I felt like i needed to be like leo and be leader for my brothers and a perfect son, but in reality I was raphael, the 2014 movie made me notice that I actually look alot like him, which is funny cause I hated him because he was always mocking mikey in the 2012 show, I think it's crazy that 2 different people from other parts of the world passed to such a similar experience with the turtles and others people here in the comments also had something like this, tmnt first captivated me with his action and bizarreness but it marked me with his essence of family love, you made a great job in explaining what these characters have that are so important to so many people, thank you dude.
Great video 📼 I grew up with the 87 cartoon and the 90s movies 🎥. I don't remember for sure which Turtle 🐢 was my favorite at that time (my guess would probably be Michaelangelo), but when I became a teen and even today, Raphael has been my personal favorite. 😊

It's not Raph yelling at the sky! Look at the belt, it's Chuck's there. We were robbed of an emo Mickey plotline.
tmnt and silver case ost is something i never know i needed
Great video 📼
