Thank you very much for this video! It's my first time doing an oil change on my car and this helped a ton.
Glad it helped!
Wait,.do you own 2 jacks or 2 jack stands? Do the jack stands come with that indentation that lines up under car? I want a stand.
Jack stands are more stable than jacks. I have 2 jack stands and block the rear wheels. I do not go under cars only supported by a jack.
@@MountainManMo this makes me feel better

Can you show how to jack the car up from the rear too?
Did the Barrs stop leak seem to help any? I’m having the same issue
My friend sold the car shortly after to another mechanic as we did not feel like taking the engine apart. It did not work within the 30 miles he drove. This car had a ton of coolant issues which probably overheated/pressure and pushed everything into the engine as we also had to replace a melted radiator.
Don’t put on a new filter dry, put some oil in it before you install it
How did it run with that Valvoline High Mileage Full Sythetic? Are you going with an extended change interval?
The car ran better once the oil was changed. This is my father's car and he never changed his oil in more than 3 years. I assume he will not change his oil unless I change it for him. I would not recommend going beyond the vehicle manufacturer's guidance of 7,500 miles. I would also check oil level every 1,000 miles as these engines often consume a lot of oil.
I think you're taking a risk with your placement of the jack stands. The place of the floor jack is the recommended lift point as it is reinforced. The place you put the jack stand is not reinforced to be used as a support point. There is the possibility of damaging the frame at that point.

Good point
Thank u.
👌thanks for.
Never go under a car on a maunal jack - sorry Chris
Thank you for the safety concern. I see that ramps are considered safer than jack stands which are safer than manual jacks alone such as hydraulic jacks and scissor jacks which have a tendency to fall over if the car shifts. Are you recommending the use of ramps?
That was why don't buy cheap Korean made car. Always have the big problem.
