Inmotion RS Scooter Tire Change: Step-by-Step Guide... Tubeless PMT Slicks from Wyrd Ryds

  • I've been blessed with the absolute pleasure of reviewing this beast scooter, the InMotion RS! Of course my first two upgrades are PMT slicks from Wyrd Ryds as well as a carbon fiber handlebar. Was a very straightforward tire change process, you can tell InMotion cares about how easy repairs are for their customers. Quick disconnects, easy cable routing, and nice design all around really makes this a simple tire change.

      @@ElectricScooterMan version 2 of the Nami Burn E2 Max is my first PEV. Wow! With the PMT tires fro WYRD RYDS I wasn't ready for the power lol. X Mode is insane. I recommend buying. It doesn't look like a toy like the rest of the scooters. Even though the styling is dated It's like motorcycle and super quiet while riding. I switched out the thumb throttle for a finger throttle. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet (weather) but I have only put 30 miles on it so far. So far I'm happy. I recommend.

    Why do scooter companies keep putting the rotor on the same side as the power cable. The disconnect helps.I'm sure but having to take your breaks off and your rotor just to change the tire seems excessive

    This is why i love split rims so much easier to change tires

    • @ScootaGang
      @ScootaGang  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Definitely easier to change split rims. But once you get rid of the tubes, you also get rid of most of the flat tires anyways. So to me tubeless is superior plus you can run it at lower psi for these PMT tires without risking pinch tubes.

      Oh don't get me started on minimotors. I just found out that all dualtrons 11 inch and up are the opposite of quick disconnects. They advise you to cut the motor wire and solder new connectors every time you want to remove it... because of that I refuse to repair those anymore.

    Very good video. I definitely know what it feels like to challenge the Bead, lol! You are definitely the MAN for putting up this video. I had to use my air compressor too because my regular air pump and my little mini Xiomi scooter tire pump just didn't have enough air pressure power to pop the tire back into the bead. Thumbs up, man. I can't wait to see you riding with the slicks. I was thinking of going with the Stradile ones. But they cost $100.00 each at VoroMotors.

    1.9bar is about 27psi max for the T41 100/55 6.5, so 35psi is a little too much. Also, those tires should fit fine on the RS without cutting the fender, maybe it wasn't completely centered? Good work btw.

    Love those slicks but those spoons cause a LOT of scraping and piting on the bead of those aluminum rims which will make it harder to gear a bead seal later with the new tires. Its possible to do it without the spoons. I show how to do it using just clamps. No rim damage.

      @@ScootaGang yeah true, don't need it but makes it so much easier, sometimes i even use it to remove the tires that are on there cause zipties are cheap and i always have tons of them and it makes it so much quicker to do
      i don't like wasting time on a tire change but i also don't like split rims so them large motorcycle tire levers like you have in the vid and zip ties are my best friends
      to clarify: due to my lifelong awful experience with bicycles, pinch flats, and often not willing to check pressure in time i will avoid split rim/inner tube like the plague 😂

      @@Marcus_ER I have an update. I got two pieces of really strong 2.5mm string and wrapped it around either side of the plug. One side I tied to an immovable object and the other side I hooked up a ratchet strap, then ratcheted the heck out of it and it unplugged. Turns out I have been running the motor cables too hot before on single motor and that actually fried the plastic in the motor wire connection which acted as a glue when it came to separating it.
