    I am pretty discouraged I am still stuck on a minor dose of benzodiazepines. Because I have such bad headaches. I have been tapering for two years and working and raising a family. I am probably in inner dose withdrawal on Klonopin. And brain fog is Terrable.

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      The best way I know of to deal with inter dose withdrawal is to break up your current dose into multiple smaller doses using either a liquid version or by dry cutting, both of which I have videos demonstrating on this channel. Have you been able to discover the source of your headaches? For me it's related to trigeminal nerve damage and hormones like insulin being out of whack. I hope you can find some relief as you continue to taper. You're a hero for doing this with a job and a family, seriously. Keep it up Hercules! (Also Klonopin is usually broken into 3-4 doses a day by those in the benzo withdrawal community)

      Try adding amino acid supplements and whole food meals. High doses of vitamin c to bowel tolerance, fish oil, magnesium threonate, vitamin D,and a B vitamin complex.

    Thanks again for the informational content! All prescribers NEED to be not only aware but thoroughly educated on the topics Dr. Wright provides, including inner dose withdrawal, tolerance, very slow tapering and looking at the fact that the prescribed drug is causing the issues. I have kindled myself completely unknowingly and am BLAMED for taking “as needed”. Always having many tablets left month after month and unfortunately year after year. If ONE human being could be spared the horrendous outcome of long term, abrupt cessation of benzodiazepines, if should be shouted from all possible sources. Thanks Dr. Wright and of course thanks Jocelyn for pulling us up behind you.🙏🏻

      It takes patients' speaking up, but of course, when we do, we're immediately taken to be druggies, not dependents, not even people who may have become addicted unwittingly. Just druggies. Cut 'em off.
      Maybe a class action suit, but against whom?

    Dear Benzo Brains i have been sufferring from OCD since i was 16 years old. Took Benzodiazepines for 26 years as prescribed and now i am in trouble. No doctor warned me or tried to taper me Off at least at the first 20 years. But i would like to say this: Research that still goes on unfortunately slowly shows that Psilocybin can help with Severe OCD like mine, Depression, PTSD and Addiction. University Of Arizona (Department Of Psychiatry), Cambridge University, Yale School Of Medicine.. Many promising trials.

    Dear Benzo Brains. Ive been on konopin twice a day for severa anxiety and ptsd for many years. My wonderful psychiatrist passed away so about 6 months ago the only dr I could find was doing virtual visits. Well I saw my dr via virtual visit today because for some reason she wants drug tests for all her patients. She said my drug screen did not show benzo In my urine test. I told her to send it to the lab because the test was wrong. So now im going to have to go without my meds. Her nurse has made some errors like calling in Cymbalta for me instead of lexapro also I have not had a virtual visit with my dr for 5 months but the nurse has been calling in my meds. Im going to try and educate them on the seriousness of withdraw. Thank you for your videos

    I've been dealing with major tolerance to my klonopin, but my doctor refuses to help. I'm so afraid of the withdrawal, but I feel like I have been going through it everyday for a long time now. I've been at 1mg twice daily for 10 years. I would really just like to get stabilized, then very slowly taper off. I know it will take years, but that doesn't bother me, it took decades to get to this place.
    I have a question for you or anyone really, my friend was just dropped by her doctor, told to find a new one. She can't find a doctor to prescribe her the same medications, and now after taking klonopin for over 20 years she is absolutely terrified of what will happen, what to do. Any advice? I really thought that doctors couldn't just stop benzos completely, which no warning whatsoever. Considering she can die, go into seizures, and have all kinds of withdrawal issues, I'm really scared for her.
    It's just a very scary place for anyone to be. I do feel powerless, I haven't felt good in so long. It's been so long that I haven't felt like I'm always in constant withdrawal. Thank you for this channel, it's the only place I don't feel alone, and I feel like someone actually understands me!!! I really appreciate it, so much!!!

    • @BenzoBrains
      @BenzoBrains  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're probably right that tolerance at this point is worse than withdrawal and you may feel more stable taking smaller doses more frequently throughout the day. I know I often felt better making micro cuts after I'd been staying at the same dose for a few weeks. Your friend could try benzoinfo.com and see if their provider list has someone recommended in her are. Also remember it doesn't have to be a doctor. It can be a nurse practitioner or PA or specialist of some kind

      @@BenzoBrains Thank you for your super fast response!!! I will definitely try your advice! Thank you! I can't thank you enough for everything you have posted on your channel all these years, I've been a sub for a few years now. remember some of that fear may be chemically induced by the benzos. It's not real.

    • @04Serena
      @04Serena 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Saundra -- I was so incredibly scared when I decided to taper off 25 years of benzo dependence, but I knew I’d never be truly healthy until I did. Being quite stubborn by nature helped enormously, as once I began, there was about nothing that could have convinced me to turn back. I won’t say it was easy, but will say that it was 1,000% worth the hard times I went through, mostly during the 7 to 12 months (got much easier after 7) following my taper. The taper itself was really not that difficult. Until you’re there, you won’t know how your taper/withdrawal will go -- you could very well be among the fortunate who taper without much difficulty and are home free after that. I wish that for you!

      @@tamravincent5097 It gave me great relief from OCD though now i am not taking it. I will in the future. Now i will have to take a small dose of Seroquel and do ERP with my new psychotherapist so i can get off Clonazepam. I am in tolerance i take 4mgs while i should take 5mgs and i am suffering. I also take gabapentin. If i did not maybe the dose of Clonazepam would reach 6mg. Its a shame that the research still goes slow because especially psilocibin could save lives. Under the guidance of a psychotherapist and CBT would be the right way. I was microdosing. I never went in a trip.. All these have benefits. Antidepressants are not efficient enough plus they have a lot of side effects. For me psilocibin eliminated 80% of my OCD and anxiety. Research must go faster

      Fluoroquinolones are the most dangerous antibiotics. They are usually prescribed as Ciprofloxacin and Levaquin, but be sure to do a quick internet search on any antibiotic you're prescribed just to be sure. Normally they're a problem because they displace benzodiazepines from their receptors. But FQ's also are dangerous on their own. They have a black box warning and can rupture tendons, cross the blood brain barrier and get into cells, causing all kinds of damage.

    Thinks it's a good idea to give the most addictive drug on the planet to a person who lacks the will power to quit booze.

      It's ironic to be sure, but it has actually helped a lot of alcoholics detox, so in reality it's worked even if in theory it's absurd.

      @@BenzoBrains nah, it's silly, cause now the alcoholic is addicted to pills. Remember, most of them can't handle the booze shakes, so how are they gonna beat the CNS damage, tremors and seizures that the pills will create?
      Big Pharma preys on alcoholics cause they are easy targets.

    The Mood Cure explains amino acid therapy to balance the brain. I am sleeping through the night, and the anxiety and depression are almost gone.
    Very helpful!!

    Jocelyn-there is a reply to a comment I made about Dr. Wright’s interview. It’s from someone who sounds scary desperate. I don’t know if you’ll read this, but it just showed up on my email. I’m in serious tapering mode and this person needs help. Couldn’t NOT say something.😯 I don’t know what to do for her.

      Is it on this video? TH-cam isn't the best at notifying me when there's a reply to someone else's comment. I'll search for it
