Rachel's accidental adult jokes are so funny to me, and her occasional awkwardness that's so pure and natural... also, loved the part where she rolled up her sleeves to do the saw, but still had sleeves underneath. 😂
This channel is always chaos, but in a good way. I love that we have organized chaos(Becky), complete chaos(Kelsey) and calm chaos(Rachel). The perfect trifecta
I know y’all have heard this so many times but you struck gold with Rachel! It’s hard to change the dynamic of a long term channel like this but she is the perfect addition! What a delight!! Also - I love the new background for the studio! How cute!
The stool is really cool! It would be awesome to have a total cost AND time estimate at the end of each project, so we know what we're getting ourselves in to :-)
I feel like it was left out cos in reality it came out to a higher cost than it would be to buy. On the flip side though, if you were willing to wait around for good deals on the materials and already had the tools, it could come out as less 🙂
@@partlyironicthey are also making a video at the same time, which adds a ton of extra time with setup, redoing takes, filming b-roll and close ups. it’s not that easy to guess how much time was “making” and how much time was “filming a video”
Can we just address the matching outfit to the miter saw? Rachel's already an icon. All I could think was a diy cover of Midas Touch... She's got the miter saw everything she touched turns to gold, woo!
Both of these DIYs were legit - can tell Rachel has great attention to detail, these pieces look really well made 👍 She has such a good vibe too! What an awesome addition ❤
Hint: The legs would be the same if you measure and market each cut as you do them. The size difference is due to the saw thickness being removed from each subsequent piece.
I feel like you'll always have a wobble when you hand drill the dowel holes. It's easiest to just fully assemble, then find the longest leg afterwards and cut it down.
@@daliawilson8068 This isn't a right or wrong comment I know the Kerf as the indentation made by a saw or the cut line, not so much the waste from the cut thickness - I wonder which is correct or if it's both ? I'm going to ask in my Workshop group ;)
Rachael coming at us with all the looks! I was so distracted by the fashion and how cool she looked that I might have to watch this video again and take some decor and fashion inspiration 👌🏻
@@exaudibeatrice4815 I think it was the mallet and stool. Haha! In place of elves putting together toy trains and dolls, she is putting together super awesome decor. ;)
Can we just appreciate the backdrop?! It really catches tsg vibes! I hope you guys are keeping it like that for a while, cause it's really beautiful and artistic. 💜
I love Rachael’s voice she is chill and it’s really great to see others on your team tackle DIY’s on your channel👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 also Rachael has great fashion sense love your outfits❤️
I've been rewatching all the sorrygirls videos and looking at the ones i never bothered to view. I never thought I'd have any real need of this stuff, but I'm currently moving into my grandmother's old house and now I'm suddenly bursting with ideas and concepts--It really helps seeing regular ol people tackling a space and turning it into a home that reflects their tastes. "We Girls Can Do Anything" etc. etc.
I love Rachel. Matching her outfit to the saw??? Please. Iconic. EVERY OUTFIT? a banger. How did everything turn into a cinematographic masterpiece? Why do I feel like I can do these DIYs that I am not even remotely qualified to attempt? Rachel is a gift to this channel.
Rachel has that hectic calm way about her that I am totally here for! Her fashion sense is 💯 and she is SO CREATIVE and you can tell she is so well informed and meticulous in her work. Such a great addition to the team!
I love that they wear safety glasses but I've noticed in many videos that they do not tie their hair back when using drills, saws, etc., which is honestly so dangerous. I love TSG but I would love if they considered this aspect of safety when using power tools, especially since I'm guessing their audience is mainly women who are more likely to have long hair :)
I just saw this video for the first time, and while I love TSG's content, seeing Rachel use power tools, especially the miter saw with those long yellow sleeves made me really uncomfortable. The first thing I (also a woman) was taught in regards to power tool safety was not to wear anything that dangles (like long necklaces, hair, bracelets etc.). Sleeves that long and hanging that far away from her wrists/hands is a definitely a safety hazard. Hopefully TSG team takes note of these comments; they're usually quite good about advocating for safety measures in their videos! :)
@@emwal5084 Agreed. I recall one video where Kelsey was wearing slipper-like shoes while working on a ladder (I think while doing the kitchen) and just watching that made me really nervous. Sturdy shoes (no heels, no slippers) should also be a must. Forget fashion. Safety first.
Honestly, I really love the direction you are taking with The Sorry Girls, Rachel is a perfect addition to the team. I'm in love with all of the content you are creating.
Did not expect an intro to weaving (using terms like warp, weft, shuttle), super happy you went into it! Your explanations throughout the project were excellent as well. Nice to meet you Rachel, you're awesome, and love your fashion sense! Great job on the DIYs!!
I love sorry girls you are the best, the content they make makes me try to flip or make furniture even though I can not even cut wood safely. love yall and Rachael's voice and the overall vibe is so soothing! Love her, glad she's part of the team
Well done Rachael, you're a natural in front of the camera and your DIYing is great. I would love the mirror frame in a metallic finish or in black or even a black hammered metallic look. The Sorry Girls crew are all inspirational, keep up the great work!
Love seeing videos from Rachel, she has a very cool style and brings something unique to the mix! Also these DIY's turned out great, makes me want to weave something!!
I really like the DIYs. Rachel did great! The mirror was unique and gave an industrial vibe and even more so if it was painted black or copper. A doable and affordable piece
Rachel made some very useful diys that could be in so many decors. She makes things simple and is a pleasing personality. Please keep having Rachel segments and the editing on this video is terrific. No gimmicks, no sloppy work, just simple diy with someone who has skill set and is eager to have you succeed. Sometimes Kelsey is snarky and Becky seems burnt out and it’s understandable Covid has done a lot. One of the stand out points of Sorry Girls videos is that you are never afraid to use equipment or draft measurements. So very important.
Another great job Rachel! A hint for the stool if you want to get rid of some of the fuzziness of the twine is to quickly run a lighter flame over it. It will zap those fuzzies right off.
yayyy Rachel that was so much fun!!! I'm really liking videos with you and I'm glad the channel is operating this transition! your DIYs were really cool and you gave me lots of ideas for my own projects!
i love this so much, the DIY‘s are literally perfect and so cute! love Rachel‘s voice and the way she explains it is so easily understandable!! so glad you guys made the choice to give her her time to shine! 🥰

Fun fact: That’s called the Kerf!
