This is Marc's "core" band but he rotates in others (like Tristan) who are alumni or members of Trans Siberian Orchestra, We Will Rock You the Musical, or other great unsung artists. Tristan and Keyboardist Brandon were members (along with Marc) of the Queen Extravaganza formed by Roger Taylor as the official Queen cover band. However, scheduling conflicts and the need for regular income collided with the short notice, short tours, they were doing after their first 3 year. QuEx continues, but without Marc is no longer what it was intended to be.
Going to see them next month in Pompanp Beach, Fl. I'm beyond excited. I'm 54 and grew up with Queen in the 70's but was too young to go see them live. Can't wait.
Marc had to get a little tongue-in-cheek dig at Vanilla Ice, at the beginning. Vanilla Ice's hit "Ice Ice Baby" stole the bass line from "Under Pressure" (doubling the one note at the beginning so it wasn't an EXACT copy). At the beginning of the music video, Vanilla Ice says "Yo V.I.P., let's kick it!" That's why Marc says, "Yo UQC, let's kick it!" 😁

He (when COVID doesn't interfere) tours with them, with Black Jacket Symphony, with Symphonic Queen (in Mexico), and with "One Vision of Queen" in and around Germany and eastern Europe. He also has a new Christmas song out with Amy Grant, "The Christmas Waltz" (cover of a Frank Sinatra Christmas song), and has just released a new version of his Christian song "How Many Kings," in Spanish.
Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Who wants to live forever or Love of my life... you can name them all... Marc Martel kills every single one of the songs. I'm sure Queen picked Adam Lambert to tour with them instead of Marc Martel cause the did not want someone who sounds so much like Freddie but does it in his own way and style. And of cause Adam Lambert is one of the best vocalists atm and a great performer. But Marc Martel is hands down like Freddy reborn when it comes to his voice. So similar. @@papabearM3 His vocal range is amazing and so are his live vocals in general. There are not many singers out there atm who can pull off such high standards. If you understand something about vocal technique or ask people who do they will confirm that without a doubt. Furthermore when icons and legends of the music industry respect you and appreciate your performances you know you're great in what you're doing. Listen to his performance at the Kennedy Center Honors of Cher's "Believe" just to mention one example. I'm neither a fanboy of Marc Martel nor of Adam Lambert. I'm just a sucker for great singers and listen to a lot of live performances for several years now. Maybe check out Ken Templins (or other renowned vocal coaches) reaction videos here on yt to Adam Lamberts best live vocals too if you wanna know what makes him so great.
