They are showing the recording footage and a live performance footage with the studio recording over it. Now that you've seen the studio, you really need to watch the live for this song that's pretty much considered the best live performance Queen ever gave. Montreal 1981. 😄

The backup singers are: Brian May - lead guitarist, Roger Taylor - drummer and John Deacon - bass guitarist. Queen did it all themselves...... All 4 band members were exceptional musicians....... exceptional vocalists (except John) ...... and exceptional songwriters. Each of the 4 wrote some of the bands #1 hits - the only band that can claim that !!!! And they were all very highly educated: Freddie - graphic design, Brian May - astrophysicist, Roger Taylor - biology, John Deacon - electronics. The original 4 member of Queen were together for 20 years ........ from 1971 until Freddie's tragic death from AIDS in 1991. You have a long Queen journey ahead of you....... 20 years of Queen greatness..... Enjoy !!! And... you'll never get bored. Queen could sing any genre and they always surprised everyone with each of their albums and songs. And... they were even better live than in the studio...... Enjoy !!!

Freddie Mercury was a big fan of Aretha Franklin he wanted to do a song with her because he loved how much power she has in her voice and he loved her style. I think the next song you should do is White Queen and love of my life the live version in Montreal. Freddie Mercury Wrote that song for the woman he was going to marry, but it did not happen she still stay by his side when he came out to her

Like everyone else said- the live Montreal performance is the one you should do next (💜 that “outfit” from Freddie). After that work your way through the Live Aid set list. So you are fully prepared to react to Live Aid.
    Set list-
    Bohemian Rhapsody
    Radio GaGa
    Hammer to fall
    Crazy little thing called love
    We will Rock You
    We are the Champions.
As always, this was a GREAT reaction!
Edit: If I remember correctly you told another subscriber that you know We will Rock you/We are the Champions. You just didn’t know they were by Queen. So that means you are only three reactions away from knowing the entire set list. I’m so exited about that!

Queen created beautiful harmonies in the studios, but their live performances were on another level. They all were masters of their instruments.
Freddie mentioned in an interview: „For Somebody To Love, we had the same 3 people singing on the big choir section, but I think it had a different kind of technical approach because it was a gospel way of singing - which was different to us. That track was me going a bit mad. I just wanted to write something in the Aretha Franklin kind of mode. I was inspired by the gospel approach she had on her earlier albums. Although it might sound like the same approach on the harmonies, it is very different in the studio because it’s a different range.”

Something I find interesting the more I think about it. I just assumed that anyone over the age of 30 was very familiar with Queen. My favorite Queen song of all time!! Love the studio version & every live version out there. Gotta do this song live in Montreal 1981 considered Queen’s best performance! I personally prefer the live version at Milton Keynes 1982 which is more powerful (if that’s even possible). Then there’s young Freddie live at Hammersmith & his vocals are completely unleashed! BRILLIANT SONG!!

I started listening to you today. I watched you cover 2 Righteous Brothers songs and a couple from Queen. I wanted you to know, I am a white man and I thoroughly enjoy your facial expressions when you hear something you love. I am from that era of Queen and also listened to many older entertainers from the 60's on up. Hearing Unchained Melody from the Righteous Brothers brought to mind a vocalist from a period of the mid 80's (perhaps earlier) Aaron Neville. I thought he was the one who invented that style of "crooning", but it seems I was wrong. Thank you for bringing this amazing music to light for the younger generations! Keep doing what you do, Sir!

Freddie had 4 extra teeth that caused his over bite and refused to have them pulled as he thought it would alter his voice. He also had a large upper pallet which allowed him to have the best singing range ever. He was also classically. Freddie was a once in a lifetime phenomenon that will never be replicated. I absolutely loved this group and was fortunate to grow up with them in the 70’s and 80’s.

Brian May CBE is the lead guitarist, has a beautiful voice and fun fact, is also an astrophysicist.
Roger Taylor OBE is the drummer(also has an absolutely seraphic voice-check it out when he does "Under Pressure" with Adam Lambert).
John Deacon is the Bassist, and retired after Freddie's passing.
They all have beautiful voices that harmonise well together.
If you've not seen it, I highly recommend you watch Queen's Live Aid performance. It's quite possibly the most perfect live performance ever, from the timing, sound, vocals, everything.

I find that soooo interesting and kudos to the editor for lining up Freddie's side arm 'punch' perfectly placed and queued up!
A great comparison is to now watch the live version from Montreal 1981 - it too is spectacular! And then watching George Michael do this song at the 1992 Tribute Concert for Freddie's passing would be like the TRIFECTA!!!

First I want to say great reaction! This is why I commented on another video that doing studio versions are a must before watching the lives. Don't want you to have an OJ overdose! When you watch the studio first, you will be AMAZED how only 4 people can be even better than what you have already heard in the studio. Doing the live version next will melt your brain!!!
As you can see, Queen has a VERY LOYAL fan base and they will always fill you in on information! If you need to know ANYTHING about them just ask in the video and they will let you know!
As for Live Aid... when you do get to it, you should do just enough research to know that it was NOT a Queen concert or even a Queen crowd and Freddie's doctor advised him not to perform as he had a throat infection.

Queen 😍😍😍😍😍😍 they're the Simply Made of orange juice
I'd also recommend "We are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" - those are two I'd bet you've heard before!

Love Queen! Omg, just the songs are amazing and the lyrics just wow. Go listen to Jeff Lynn's ELO, any of the songs, they are all fantastic.

Queen must be enjoyed in headphones or a car stereo so you can hear them standing in front, beside, and behind you!

You should hear the songs he did with Montserrat Caballé. She was an amazing opera singer. Those are probably my favorite❤❤

After you've done Somebody to Love Live in Montreal, you have to do White Queen Live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975!! Your ears will thank you!

You can throw a dart at Queen's catalog & you'll choose a great song.
Some standard songs that you need to acquaint yourself with, though: "We Will Rock You", "Another One Bites the Dust" and "We are the Champions"

You need to react to Queen’s Live Aid performance from July1985. Greatest live performance of all time !
