    Excellent video! I'm happy to see this aspect of processing and packaging for resale. We're considering going into this part of things. I may get with y'all personally to get more info. :-) Thanks so much for sharing!

    New to the channel and haven’t been able to stop watching since. I’m wondering if those bags are better then a vacuum sealer or why you choose those bags? Thanks for sharing!

    I too moved from AZ to the Missouri Ozarks, and I also prefer the Cornish chickens over the dual purpose chickens mostly for the time difference in growth....I guess great minds think alike. What farmers market do you sell your product at? I live in Alton and there is not a farmers market around here. Just found your channel and will be binge watching your videos.

    You may answer this in one of your later videos, but what about fat on the bird? I prefer a leaner fryer so do the cornish hen have a lot of fat?

    How do you get around the USDA when you sell your rabbits at the farmers market?

    • @LivingTraditionsHomestead
      @LivingTraditionsHomestead  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      We don't need to "get around" anything. We encourage everyone to follow the laws of their state. In MO rabbits are considered poultry and fall under the poultry exemption. That means we can sell up to 1000 of them per year. Every state is different. When we lived in AZ we weren't allowed to sell rabbit meat at all. It really depends on how your state classifies rabbit.

    Don't hold the bagged Chicken over the water while she tightens the zip tie.
    If it were to drop, the splash may be unpleasant.

    Doesnt that straw contaminate each bird you process?

      Therlo Stallings i think its ok as long as you are only using it for the chickens.. you arent supposed to go between different types of meats tho.. not for sure but thats what i understood

    We raise meat rabbits in Californian just for our consumption. I was wondering is there a process in selling your meat at a farmers market?

    • @LivingTraditionsHomestead
      @LivingTraditionsHomestead  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is legal in some states and not others. You just have to find out your state laws.
