Thanks for featuring the CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Ceramic Coating! Great job with the video and explanations Coleton! Results speak for themselves. I wish you continued success with your channel, and keep spreading the love for detailing with the community! Merry Christmas!
The past 3 days I have been doing a full detail on my Mom's Model Y, paint correction (holy mother of god did the paint have more scratches than we knew, that were also quite deep. Also had to put touchup paint about a million places) and then apply Adam's ceramic coating. I've watched your videos for a while now and my god it was more work than I thought it would be. I bought a kit from Chemical Guys to clean and the correction. TLDR: What I learned was that the DA doesn't really matter, but the backing plate and pad can make all of the difference. Also to do a test spot and go heavier cut than you think and then do the rest of the car, saves you so much time. In any case hopefully the ceramic I put on the car works out great. So total respect to someone who does it at your level, I now understand why you take some of the decisions you do during the process that I see in the videos
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this info with all of us CT owners. A lot of us out here have been waiting for the dust to settle on just WHICH of the ceramic coatings is best for our bare SS Cybertrucks.
I found Windex to be awful to use on my Cybertruck. Not a fan of the results. I'm obsessed with Sprwayway glass cleaner though, it works incredibly well!! Love it!
Hey Coleton, great job on this opportunity to collab with the 🐐 pan the organizer. Out of curiosity was one bottle enough, was there extra, was it very tight and you had to stretch out the bottle towards the end? Hopefully you answer this 🙏
The color once prep and coated is amazing. Thank you, you figuring out how to coat the CT. I will reference your videos when someone brings a CT and will coat with confidence.
Have you noticed (or heard of) any hazing a couple months later after completing a ceramic coating on the Cybertruck? My ceramic rep said sometimes cybertrucks haze up. Tesla quit offering factory vinyl wrap installs bc of various issues as well. My rep suggested NOT ceramic coating Cybertrucks.
What a great video and what an impressive product Pan has put together!! Will the Cybertruck still experience "tea staining" or oxidation with this ceramic coating being applied?
Looks amazing on camera! It looks a LOT more forgiving and easier to apply than ProtectaClear resin. It appears to be a good value at $150 for the 8-year coating and $15 for the prep spray. To have a professional car detailer with 10-years of experience saying he’s blown away by a product says a lot. Q: Did the one small bottle coat the entire Cybertruck?
Be careful when using a polisher and BKF. It is very easy to leave swirl marks. Light and even is key. Start on the tailgate first. Check your work and proceed. You do not want to have to resurface the truck. If you are unsure, do it by hand.
This looks like a great product Coleton really like this video also just your enthusiasm about this is really impressive. I’m in Colorado also. Everbrite coating got me through the summer and really protected the panels well during my off-roading adventures BUT during our first freeze and snow it popped off the panels in several places. So I have DIY’s product on the truck now and I’m quite happy with the results so far. PREPARING the surface is the key to successful application and great results for any product a person might choose. Thanks for sharing this I’m really impressed with the Hydrophobics, I think DIY and PAN’s products are well suited for the Cyber. Makes for easy cleaning with a foam cannon or even waterless type washes. I use Adam’s CS3 for a quick clean and that works well with these types of products also and adds a bit of additional protection during cleaning I think Hope to meet you in person someday since we’re close AND thanks for the effort you put in to help us all!
Definitely would like to check out your truck in person and chat about what you’ve done to it! Send me an email at coleton@outofspecstudios.com and we can set something up!
I had the same thing happen to my truck. I like the Everbrite coating but like yours I had lots of pop off patches on the frunk. I now notice a little bit on the back part of the truck down low.
Thanks OoSD! Just ordered the coating and will get the truck ready for the salt & sand mix that will be hitting the roads here soon. Hope this helps with the grimey's
Hey, nice find… How much did you use for the whole truck, and did you use it on the glass as well. Why did you use a different ceramic on the front bumper instead of the Clean all over?
I recently applied Clean 8 yr to my windshield. I followed all the steps but now getting streaking with each wipe. Consistent across the whole windshield. What did I do wrong? Thanks
Finally picked up my CT Sunday. Been following your channel since your first Cybertruck tests. I haven't watched ALL the videos, but quite a few of them. This video is perfect timing as I was about to go digging through all your videos to find what to use. I want to get this done while the truck is still new to hopefully save on cleaning and prep effort. Should I use the same coating on the plastic? Or go with something else from your previous vids? Do you also coat the tonneau cover slats? Do you do any coatings on the Glass? Thanks!
I know yall swear by the bar keepers friend but im curious why you haven't done a video using tesla's recommended Citrisurf77? I know your truck is wrapped now so it's not possible but I have a cyberbeast with some heavy corrosion spots all over and 2 bottles of the citrisurf. if you want to do a video with it, id be more than willing to drive it up from Denver and let you do so!
The House of Rags website says that the ceramic coating is "Safe for all exterior surfaces (paint, glass, wheels, plastic trim, lights, PPF, vinyl wraps), including matte finishes." Did you coat everything on the Cybertruck - bumpers, mirror trim, wheels, plastic trim, windshield, etc? Curious on what you'd recommend applying this ceramic coating to. Thanks, and keep up the great work!🤙🏽
Any advice on how to get off what looks like a white colored speck over areas that had superficial "rust". Tried barkeepers friend and Windex that removed the rust appearing area but not the speck.
I am assuming that once the coating has been applied then it is essentially the same thought process of a painted vehicle, meaning, if you want to wrap it in the future, you would have to remove the ceramic coating?
Great video like your others. Taking delivery of a CT on Friday and have had my other vehicles ceramic coated and was originally looking at using ProtectaClear but besides the prep work being the same for both this looks a little more forgiving and easier. Did you do the motorized bed cover? Thanks!
Once it is done and cured can my CT be taken through car washes or do I need to hand wash every time? I've been taking my CT through a local car wash and it does a pretty good job of getting it cleaned.
Frustrating, good, you are learning. That is called experience. ICE has 150 years of experience, TESLA does new things, good for your extraordinary work.
@OutofSpecDetailing of course. I didn't think this one needed review. Its crap. Saved you some time. Probably get banned too. Just like other countries.
I read the Safety Data Sheet on this ceramic coating and it is really scary. It contains endocrine disruptors. I was wanting to do this but after reading the SDS, I have decided against it. Probably it is safe after curing but if it slowly wears off, its going to go into the environment and cause problems.
Great video but without knowing the reapplication frequency needed I would probably lean towards other hydrophobic/hydrocarbon-phobic products just because of the high cost for one ounce. I can't wait eight years to see if their claim is true so I will take my risk with something else. Thanks for the video though.
You have to be kidding about the cost. Coleton said he did the truck and had plenty left over. $150 is nothing, stop being so cheap. And it beats a 5k wrap any day.
th-cam.com/video/8oX2mp71cRU/w-d-xo.html this guy suggests the complete opposite of you, arguing that you should definitely not use Windex (ammonia) and Bar Keeper's Friend on the Cybertruck. Any thoughts? 3:00 mark discusses why Windex is bad. 7:49 mark discusses why Bar Keeper's Friend is bad.
@OutofSpecDetailing true, but doesn't take a professional detailer to find countless articles and research showing that ammomia damages stainless steel. Bar Keeper's Friend seems abrasive, but your polisher machine helps give a more even finish instead of random scratches.
Okay then don’t use the process, the trucks I do look better than a single other truck I’ve seen. I’ve talked to actual chemists about the BKF & Windex. All the ones I’ve talked to have no issue with it. Windex has a SMALL amount of ammonia
This is like putting lipstick on a pig. CT is the ugliest little duck car ever made. The range is pathetic. Looks like a stainless rusted shed driving down the road.. Thank god we have options now that Tesla has dropped the ball with this truck (hint 450 miles with the appropriately sized battery in the new Chevy!). I can't wait until Tesla cancel's this line of production and gets back to getting the 6 years ago roadster promise delivered instead of focusing on this.
Psst…we don’t care that you don’t like the truck. If you don’t like it then don’t buy it. And you don’t have to rudely comment on it. I for one love mine because it’s an amazing vehicle (not perfect) than is a blast to drive.
Thanks for featuring the CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Ceramic Coating! Great job with the video and explanations Coleton! Results speak for themselves. I wish you continued success with your channel, and keep spreading the love for detailing with the community! Merry Christmas!
How is it holding up? Very curious!

There are 4,000 videos on TH-cam about it.

Yes update please. Run it in some snow and slush. I live in Central New York snow country and would be curious on how it is after running in the snow.

Yes, with quite a bit left over!
Yo! I might have to make my way over there. It’ll be a fun 15 hour drive but would love to have the pros coat my Cybertruck.
Send me an email at coleton@outofspecstudios.com and we can absolutely make that happen🫡
This is going to sell a lot of CLEAN.

You can actually go quite aggressive with it, pressure and speed. Wouldn’t recommend using a cutting pad
I purchased 2 bottles. Can't wait to try it.

Great video! Did I miss the answer to whether or not one bottle covered the entire truck?
Yes easily
Good job👍🔥 can't wait to see durability
Once coated BKF/Windex will remove the coating correct? So once coated should just use waterless wash or soap and water to keep clean?
Thanks OoSD! Just ordered the coating and will get the truck ready for the salt & sand mix that will be hitting the roads here soon. Hope this helps with the grimey's
Hey, nice find… How much did you use for the whole truck, and did you use it on the glass as well. Why did you use a different ceramic on the front bumper instead of the Clean all over?

I wonder what’s the Hardness to the coating? Doesn’t say on his website😊

Try this out on all exterior plastics and glass. Makes it easier than using 3 separate coatings
@ Will do! Hopefully one bottle is enough! Thanks for the reply and all the great content!
I did my complete exterior & used 1/2 a bottle.
assuming you are using the lower nap side of the costco towel for the wipe off?

Can be used for all the black trim, wheels, glass, paint, etc etc
did you get by with one little bottle?
Can you take ceramic coated through car wash or does it blast it off?
Any advice on how to get off what looks like a white colored speck over areas that had superficial "rust". Tried barkeepers friend and Windex that removed the rust appearing area but not the speck.
How many of those $150 bottles did it take to thoroughly coat the cyber truck?
Less than 1

Yep
WOW that Cybertruck coating is EXPENSIVE. Was not expecting that $150 price tag for that tiny bottle
Would it be ok to do ceramic coating before doing colored ppf?
Why would you do that?
He coated the entire truck by hand?
