Thanks for featuring the CLEAN By Pan The Organizer Ceramic Coating! Great job with the video and explanations Coleton! Results speak for themselves. I wish you continued success with your channel, and keep spreading the love for detailing with the community! Merry Christmas!
The past 3 days I have been doing a full detail on my Mom's Model Y, paint correction (holy mother of god did the paint have more scratches than we knew, that were also quite deep. Also had to put touchup paint about a million places) and then apply Adam's ceramic coating. I've watched your videos for a while now and my god it was more work than I thought it would be. I bought a kit from Chemical Guys to clean and the correction. TLDR: What I learned was that the DA doesn't really matter, but the backing plate and pad can make all of the difference. Also to do a test spot and go heavier cut than you think and then do the rest of the car, saves you so much time. In any case hopefully the ceramic I put on the car works out great. So total respect to someone who does it at your level, I now understand why you take some of the decisions you do during the process that I see in the videos
Thanks so much for taking the time to share this info with all of us CT owners. A lot of us out here have been waiting for the dust to settle on just WHICH of the ceramic coatings is best for our bare SS Cybertrucks.
The color once prep and coated is amazing. Thank you, you figuring out how to coat the CT. I will reference your videos when someone brings a CT and will coat with confidence.
What a great video and what an impressive product Pan has put together!! Will the Cybertruck still experience "tea staining" or oxidation with this ceramic coating being applied?
Thanks OoSD! Just ordered the coating and will get the truck ready for the salt & sand mix that will be hitting the roads here soon. Hope this helps with the grimey's
Great video like your others. Taking delivery of a CT on Friday and have had my other vehicles ceramic coated and was originally looking at using ProtectaClear but besides the prep work being the same for both this looks a little more forgiving and easier. Did you do the motorized bed cover? Thanks!
Once it is done and cured can my CT be taken through car washes or do I need to hand wash every time? I've been taking my CT through a local car wash and it does a pretty good job of getting it cleaned.
Hey, nice find… How much did you use for the whole truck, and did you use it on the glass as well. Why did you use a different ceramic on the front bumper instead of the Clean all over?
The House of Rags website says that the ceramic coating is "Safe for all exterior surfaces (paint, glass, wheels, plastic trim, lights, PPF, vinyl wraps), including matte finishes." Did you coat everything on the Cybertruck - bumpers, mirror trim, wheels, plastic trim, windshield, etc? Curious on what you'd recommend applying this ceramic coating to. Thanks, and keep up the great work!🤙🏽
I am assuming that once the coating has been applied then it is essentially the same thought process of a painted vehicle, meaning, if you want to wrap it in the future, you would have to remove the ceramic coating?
Be careful when using a polisher and BKF. It is very easy to leave swirl marks. Light and even is key. Start on the tailgate first. Check your work and proceed. You do not want to have to resurface the truck. If you are unsure, do it by hand.
I read the Safety Data Sheet on this ceramic coating and it is really scary. It contains endocrine disruptors. I was wanting to do this but after reading the SDS, I have decided against it. Probably it is safe after curing but if it slowly wears off, its going to go into the environment and cause problems.
Great video but without knowing the reapplication frequency needed I would probably lean towards other hydrophobic/hydrocarbon-phobic products just because of the high cost for one ounce. I can't wait eight years to see if their claim is true so I will take my risk with something else. Thanks for the video though.
th-cam.com/video/8oX2mp71cRU/w-d-xo.html this guy suggests the complete opposite of you, arguing that you should definitely not use Windex (ammonia) and Bar Keeper's Friend on the Cybertruck. Any thoughts? 3:00 mark discusses why Windex is bad. 7:49 mark discusses why Bar Keeper's Friend is bad.
@OutofSpecDetailing true, but doesn't take a professional detailer to find countless articles and research showing that ammomia damages stainless steel. Bar Keeper's Friend seems abrasive, but your polisher machine helps give a more even finish instead of random scratches.
Okay then don’t use the process, the trucks I do look better than a single other truck I’ve seen. I’ve talked to actual chemists about the BKF & Windex. All the ones I’ve talked to have no issue with it. Windex has a SMALL amount of ammonia

This video is definitely for me!! Excellent job explaining, like always. Goodbye Florida rain stains.

Could you make some videos on your DIY stuff so we can all learn
@@Zaaim
There are 4,000 videos on TH-cam about it.

Clean and DIY Detail, 2 new brands pushing the envelope of detailing.

Good job👍🔥 can't wait to see durability

Yes update please. Run it in some snow and slush. I live in Central New York snow country and would be curious on how it is after running in the snow.

I wouldn’t recommend proteclear whatsoever. You can coat everything in the exterior besides the rubber with this coating

Yep

Testing.

Can be used for all the black trim, wheels, glass, paint, etc etc
Lots of armchair detailers in the comments lol. Amazing work dude
Always… Appreciate it🫡
Did the one bottle do the whole thing and fenders?
Yes easily

Yes
Would it be ok to do ceramic coating before doing colored ppf?
Why would you do that?

You can actually go quite aggressive with it, pressure and speed. Wouldn’t recommend using a cutting pad

He coated the entire truck by hand?
Don’t forget to coat the door jambs
