    Oooo! I've never thought to use acrylic blanks to make them! I just use resin in molds but that can sometimes be a 2 day process waiting for layers to cure! Will definitely be trying these. Fellow tech here too and just started studying for my CT exam!

      Acrylic blanks make a cute addition for xray markers.
      I took my CT registry in 2017. Thought they gave me wrong test since it felt like xray registry.. 😆 ..Good luck when u take it!

    Fellow Zombie here! Thank you for your video. I am also an RT(R), retired last Dec from cardiac cath lab. I have been making badge reels and selling them at the hospital, but have wanted to try making markers for diversity. My husband is an ortho RT(R), working for same physician owned company for >40 years. His place uses their initials to identify with, some places use numbers, some nothing. What advice would you give me for purchasing the lead letters? Or, simply start out with generic L and R?

      Thanks! Happy retirement! I've been regular RT, trained CT then went to diagnostic Cath Lab that was supposed to go full service but never did then moved to a trauma center in NOLA doing CT. I love what I do! As far as lead letters go, if you have the market for them I would invest in getting initials also. I've only had 2 order where the RT didn't want their initials. I started with a few of each letter & 10 each of L & R. Cost will probably be about $75-$100 to start with a small amount of letters. Universal Medical had best price I found without having a minimum order per letter. The letters are cut when you order so it will take a few weeks to come in.

    What type of silicone mat are you using is it better than the flat silicone?

    • @bossychickdesigns4825

      I wouldn't say it's better. It's just a silicone trivet from Amazon. I think it's a little easier to move these than a thin silicone mat.

    Any tips on when transferring the sticker to the acrylic it doesn’t strip the color off the design?

      In this video, I didn't use stickers. These are made using vinyl so it won't strip the color.

    Hi, how do they stick to your badges, or wherever you carry them?

      Techs use different things. Some use tacky putty or they make something called radhesive. I come from the days of taping markers since none of mine were cute then. I made a set for me but I work in CT now so I don't use markers.

    Where do you get the vinyl stickers?

      The designs for these acrylics come with them when you purchase acrylic. I keep parts I want or tweak them if needed since I prefer to have more glitter visible.

    Very nice work. When you use them, which side is facing x-ray tube? the one with inverted lead letters or the other with decoration? By the way they look so cute :D

      Thanks. I usually reverse the letters so the design is the front of them(facing tube) but you can make however the xray tech prefers. Can also add a R/L to front.

    What a great video! I don’t know if I missed it but how did you get the vinyls the exact size of the acrylics?

    • @bossychickdesigns4825
      @bossychickdesigns4825  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! So Zindee.com is where I get the acrylics & they come with a design sized for each size you buy. The acrylics i ised in the video are 1.5" but you can use 2" also. I'll do a video on the acrylics when I'm off next rotation.

    Thank you for your video! I'm not sure if it's a dumb question or not, but you have to add something to the back as an adhesive or are they magnetic?

    • @bossychickdesigns4825
      @bossychickdesigns4825  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not a dumb question @ all. Personally, I would leave the adhesive up to the technologist to pick since it is mostly preference. I would use tape on my original marekers & the way I wrapped the tape the back would be sticky. I know some of my friends @ work use tic tac or radhesive to stick their markers to the cassettes.
      I'm happy if the videos help fellow crafters.

      What exactly are looking for? I use acrylic shapes which I buy from Zindee, resin molds or even stickers for the shapes. I was buying lead letter from Universalmedicalinc.com but I found a seller on etsy ezxray which is better.
