Hiya, just confused and wondering why you don't use personal protective equipment when handling lead? Would it be a hazard?

Lead is hazardous if you eat it. I always wash my hands when finished a project & I don't plan on eating it. But if you feel the need to wear PPE, go for it.

Does the letters have to be metal or can they be acrylic?

Letter for xray markers need to be metal or lead. Metal is radiopaque in general so it will stop xrays from passing through leaving letters behind. Lead is most radiopaque metal. Some techniques can burn out some metals. If you sell them, I suggest letting your buyers know what materials you are using for letters.

How long does it take to cure?

That will depend on your UV lamp since they have different wattages. Mine takes about 3 minutes.

It's a UV lamp but it has "UV led nail lamp" on the actual lamp.
