Great analysis, just because they had a great season in a weak NBA, then was down to OKC 3-1, doesn’t make them a great team. The Bulls would have swept that team. The Bulls was a great team in 96, but not just because they won 72 games, they won it all. I think the 83 Sixers, 72 Lakers, or the 84 Celtics are in the discussion for the greatest team. Having the best regular season record does not make you the greatest team. That’s what’s wrong with the younger generation, they just look at the numbers, instead of looking at the substance of the team. If you don’t win it all, you’re not the greatest. The bubble wasn't a challenge. Maybe it was for people who wanted to see their families. I could see that. I think it helped the players. I wouldnt say that the Warriors 2016 team in the playoffs was overrated. You forget that Steph got injured in the Blazers series and wasnt a 100% the rest of the playoffs. The Warriors were up 3 games to 1 on Lebron and the Cavs. Before Draymond got suspended for a game. And the refs holding their whistles for 2 straight games.Which allowed the Cavs to tie the series. Game 7 was called fairly. But the previous 2 games the Cavs got away with a lot of physical play and benefitted from non calls. If Draymond didnt get suspended or if Lebron got suspended as well for instgating the altercation and the NBA wasn't trying to extend the Finals to make it longer by rigging the refs for ad revenue. The bubble wasn't a challenge. Maybe it was for people who wanted to see their families. I could see that. I think it helped the players. The Warriors were up 3 games to 1 on Lebron and the Cavs. Before Draymond got suspended for a game. And the refs holding their whistles for 2 straight games.Which allowed the Cavs to tie the series. Game 7 was called fairly. But the previous 2 games the Cavs got away with a lot of physical play and benefitted from non calls.
If Draymond didnt get suspended or if Lebron got suspended as well for instgating the altercation and the NBA wasn't trying to extend the Finals to make it longer by rigging the refs for ad revenue. The Warriors would've have won that series.
