I love your comment in the end about the semi active players. I've spoken to a lot of people that say the game doesn't really have a reason to grind it, that it doesn't give them motivation to do so. They mostly say that the game is fun, and they play it casually, but making it more competitive will encourage players to get better and have more fun in doing so. Just imagine the high elo lobbies and the (future) esport scene where players will analyse strategies, adjust to problems, come up with new solutions, we would see so much more creativity in defending/attacking places just because people are going to try to top each other. Honestly can't wait for the pro analysis of different maps, locations, cashouts, etc.
Great vid btw, the only one out of the "the finals is dead" that isn't actually made to milk views, shows genuine solutions to problems and doesn't yap for 10 minutes to get ad revenue.

im not sure i entirely agree...i've finished the battlepass, caught up on the career, did the personal progression, etc. i have nothing left to grind atm.
but i still play th game cuz i need the practice and cuz its fun, i dont like playing ranked cuz im not really 'sweaty' like that and i dont like doing 'the meta' (i've gotten into sledge/charge lately)
while not everyone will just keep playing the game cuz its fun, and having something to gain from playing besides JUST entertainment is nice, i dont think it's fair to say "we need this game to be SUPER focused on ELO grinding and competitive to keep players" as if it's the only real motivation....there's plenty of motivation outside of that comp group.

Speaking as a casual player, it’s not that the game doesn’t have the ability to be grinded, it’s just that I have a life and don’t have a lot of time to play video games so I just try to enjoy it instead of stressing about meaningless in game things

As someone that loves this game, I have to say that overwatch just has many more options for playstyle, and the fact that the meta in the Finals changes every 2 weeks makes it more incosistent
@@THE-STREET-HERO what are you on? The finals have a lot of different playstyles. Sure OW technically has more, but 70% of them are out of the meta and unusable. OW meta has always been super unbalanced. The finals' meta is quite consistent with only a few meta guns being adjusted for balance.

i want to say (as of my own experience) the finals is a game where you TRUELY need to be engaged and really trying to get your skill up so you have a good time, besides tf2, i now think its really boring and not a lot of action. and the finals is the opposite and it pretty easy to engage in

Honestly The Finals is just a baby of a live service. I'm more interested about this conversation at it's first year anniversary. It may not feel like this game is new, but it's been out for less than six months, and live service is a marathon. It's all about what embark brings season to season, and how the community evolves.
On the other side, I see a lot of people that I match with spending money on battlepass minimum. I think it's a good thing. Embark has a solid product, and they're a small studio further divided into two teams (they have arc raiders in their pipeline as well). With the funds, and knowing they'll use them wisely, I'm sure they can continue to cook and deliver at the pace they started with. (major content drops every 3 months, events monthly, balances biweekly-ish, etc)

I just wanna buy items seperate from bundles, so many times i see a single item that i would 100% buy for a decent price over having to buy the full bundle its tied to for $20

yeah would be nice but as TBo said below, the devs have to rely on this kind of tactic to generate revenue. At least the game is free and the bundles are cheaper than COD, Overwatch, Fortnite and others. It's not perfect but I understand they gotta make money. In my eyes they're worth every penny. Im also grateful they have multiple bundles per season that give out free coins. The bunny outfit bundle gives free coins, the starter pack gives free coins, and the battlepass gives out coins. Dont forget the devs also added EARNABLE coins in the career circuit! It's rare for a dev team to allow you to do this! Makes me really happy they have options for everyone including those who dont have as much money to spend.
@@GravityDrop The thing is IMO they would probably make a good bit more money by letting people buy items seperate from bundles at a slight markup, people are willing to spend 5 here, 10 there on bits that they like way more often than having to spend a lot at once on a bundle including items they may not want, im personally one of them where i would buy several items straight away if i could, but the fact id need to spend upwards of $40 ~ 50 to make the outfit i want is silly, where i could just buy the whole outfit i want for say, $10 ~ 20 (Pricing should depend on item/rarity etc) Im not saying all bundles should be gone, just give us the ability to also buy items seperate and then have the bundle be a discount for the multiple items.

I think some people are afraid to be bad at a game at first I have to show this game to multiple of my friends who all said it was really unique and fun but then after getting rolled a couple games, they hop off and go back to the game and playing for four years
Improving the meta/balance and matchmaker would make this experience a lot better for new players! This is why they're both so critical. No one likes queuing up as a new player and go against people who have played for months! Hopefully your friends give the game another chance! Once you learn the basics this game is SO fun even for beginners! Thanks for stopping by!
Even I just recently started playing it and after a few matches and finding the right strategies for the game, it’s actually fun and even the causal matches starts to feel competitive but not sweaty or raging, I had a few close games just because of either bad plays or close call matches. It’s fun and deserves a lot of respect. At least better then the current cod or other games that’s out there

I guess since I’m coming from the tactical shooter side of steam where average player base could be 2k-3k on a Saturday. So it feels like this game is full of players but of course a lot of people won’t have that perspective. I’m not competitive so idc about ranked levels and that grind. I just want fun and balanced time. Surely this game isn’t going anywhere b/c they’ve made money from the battle pass and store. They’ll get the state of the game exactly how the devs want it. I believe it

Waiting for the circuit challenges to unlock is terrible. I was playing consistently until I hit 7/7 on tier 1 and got bored waiting for tier 2 to show up.
I believe they will expand from the input of this season.

This is the best video of the finals I’ve ever seen. Never seen someone with the guts to admit that FPS cheating is currently a problem with little solutions, I think people need to talk about this more so people stop expecting embark to drop a leet anti cheat that noscopes wall hackers out of the air

Obviously some just look at the negatives and some are blinded by a great game and think there isn’t anything wrong. You covered mostly everything spanning over both sides and proved how the game has a lasting future. The AMA that happened yesterday I believe backs so much of what you said and it really seems like they are going head first into making this game truly amazing. They even said how they are planning for years to come.

yes would love if the gameshow events just changed teh environment more. Both alien/retro invasion and meteor shower should vastly alter a section of the map. Doesn't have to wipe players out but makes the most of the destruction.
About the dominant weapons in the meta, sure it gets old to see the same weapons be used, but I want to be careful about conveying the message to Embark, cause I actually think the way those weapons "feel" are pretty good, and instead they should study how to make other weapons feel stronger to keep up

100% disagree with ranked. If you party with a diamond then you all should be in diamond. I also disagree with weapon meta shifts as much as you want. Maybe once a year or with new weapon releases. It'd be better if all the other guns were brought up making a bigger meta.
You really missed the mark with this video. Casual players are the base of this game. Focusing on ranked mode and nerfs are not what casual players want. They want to fast paced games with loads of content. They want to feel powerful when they play. Nerfing the few good weapons while never buffing the crappy ones ruins the experience you want to feel when playing. Season 2 only bringing 3 new weapons is a major let down especially when they all turned out to suck. The gadgets suck as well because no one ever uses them.
Embark did make a few mistakes Season 2 with balancing. The new weapons all sucked at release. This a major mistake I do not think they'll repeat. The new gadgets and specialization were great though with the exception of the Data Reshaper. Gateway and Anti-Gravity cube literally shifted how the game is played for the better. Last point I will make, although casuals make up the majority of a playerbase, you need ranked to be great to grow the game. If ranked mode isnt good, streamers and content creators do not have a reason to grind. As of now this is costing The Finals the most of it's players. The game is struggling A LOT on Twitch and TH-cam. Ranked and lack of competitive is the #1 reason for this. If you want the devs to support the game and for casuals to also have a great experience, competitive must be priority #1. Apex, Fortnite, Overwatch, Valorant and others clearly understood this and it's why they stand the test of time. Thanks for the input
I really disagree with gamers needing 'new metas' because personally i feel guns should be tools you need to pick depending on the situation, and not just bring whatever. But, i can get behind buffing other weapons to make them more viable in more situations.
In the past, it's never really fruitful to focus on tournaments, especially when factoring in costs of the event itself. Casuals make up probably 80% of every community and likely spend more as well, so I would say focusing primarily on that and flushing out their world to make it more intriguing would make way more sense.

Theres an insane amount of hackers in plat+ lobbies its mad, i once encoutered 3 hackers in 5 different games while plat 1 pushing diamond 4
Hot take but you are giving Embark way too much credit. The removal of recon wasn’t righteous it was just the easiest and quickest way to shut up the community. A revised recon like Bloodhounds would have retained more of the player base and also quieted the cry babies. Also while seeming bold the aim assist nerf could have better been fixed by allow players to choose input matchmaking instead, as the nerf to aa on console felt like too much for those playing in console only lobbies so once again another chunk of the player based left. Neither of the above had an affect on me continuing to play the game but I believe these were mistakes on Embarks part for sure. Additionally, they keep moving further away from making all classes viable in ranked and seem dead set on making sure light has little to no value in ranked with next week’s double nerfs. None of the above changes actually helped to retain or significantly increase the player base only resulting in more players giving up the game. They keep cooking themselves imo

Definitely agree. It wasn't bold of them to undernerf nukes 8 times because they were so insistent on keeping them in the game. Even now, they're still in the game technically when the obvious solution was just to remove them and not nerf everything that could possibly be associated with it.

Death Cam view after being killed would be perfect to avoid false accusations in cheating, which could've dropped the reports number and allow the support team to work with "real" reports on cheaters
Im sure this will come and was intentionally left out for this reason. They dont want to give the impression the game is filled with cheaters, even if it may be. Granted Im not totally sure how demanding a killcam could potentially be. Very well may still be finalizing it to avoid performance issues. Things like FPS and PING trackers were also probably left out for the same reason. If players could see their FPS they might be more frustrated than they would be just focusing on the fun gameplay.
@@GravityDrop you can use your own meter anyway. Not for the ping of course. It shouldn't be so demanding to add the kill cam. Epic made the whole match record available on the same engine)) I am not a game developer, so I don't know how hard it is to implement it though

People also forget that this January and February was huge for games in general. Helldivers, Palworld, Last Epoch, Apex updates, etc. an absurd amount of popular games came out very quickly right as the launch bump started to fall off.
That's not to say its the only reason, or even the biggest one, but it definitely helped suck away any space the game had. I'll be playing this game as long as Embark supports it though, I adore this game, and hope to cast some matches when they improve custom lobbies
Im sick and tired of people asking for a grind in video games, like go tf outside, grind some wenches or something. This game needed ranked yes, custom 1v1 2v2 etc, but it also needs alot more newer guns, new guns that are actually usable and viable, and more maps. Its the same thing over and over again. ITS BORING. Light gets deleted. Medium gets caught by invisible light. Heavy either gits gud or gets shredded after a stun. Like is there anything else happening?

I disagree with 2 points. Players matching with the highest rank on the team is a good thing. And the events are really stupid and should be removed in ranked.

I hard disagree on removing events from ranked. I won a semi final round on Skyway moving platforms because of low gravity!! Last alive as heavy and my random team didn't have much faith. I jumped into the stratosphere and slammed the poor guy on the moving platform with god like accuracy!!! Stole the cashout last second and won the semi finals! Ive never felt more accomplished lol. Pure dopamine
Yeah, you shouldn't be able to get two bots into your lobby just so you can beat up on other players. If you're queuing with someone better than you, then you could just be looking to get carried. Which will absolutely happen.
@@TantoAshina it takes away from the integrity of ranked mode. If you are different skill levels then you shouldn’t play ranked together. If skill levels are the same but ranks are different then it doesn’t matter. But if they take the average rank then you can boost people and ruin the fun for lower skill players. The players should be closest in skill level.

when finals released all of my friends switched to it from apex because apex was kinda in a low spot then. finals was more of a much needed break from apex. i enjoyed the game ngl but it was nothing more than a break for us.

Except the point of weapons pick you was talking of was s1 meta but definitively not s2 meta (especially on the heavy weapons you talked about) . You are pretty right on most of the points, but nobody's gonna come back on the game until they rethink the game a more competitive way. Most of top500 players like me just decided to leave it these last weeks, in my case i decided to leave it because of the eac removal, favorising cheaters in hight rank games and the world league being cancelled because of a DDOS , i mean, it definitivelly became a cheaters paradise.

and honest view on topics that other creators seemingly don’t have, I.E saying the game is dead just based on steam charts etc.
embarks BOLD choice for weapon balancing should be saying "this game isnt about fighting from a menu screen get in game and aim..."

The only way you can say that embark is doing a good job with cheating is to compare them to someone doing worse at it right now. The cheating is absolutely a reason to stop playing and it's out of control in this game. I'm not sure how you haven't heard of people running into blatant cheaters every tournament for an entire night, because that has certainly happened. Especially since it's so common to get repeat opponents.
Cheating is the single biggest issue in this game and it's kinda insane that you would downplay it.
Skill Issue.
There's 2 issues with this claim. In the current game, there are no killcams and no replays. You have no way to validate how many cheaters you're actually running into. Also, aim assist can give off the impression of cheating and they often get conflated. I've done it myself Im not innocent. Im sorry to hear you've had a worse experience with cheating than me, but as stated in the video, crying about it doesnt help. Cheating is an AWFUL issue in every game it exists. One cheater is too many. But Embark knows this and has full time employees working tirelessly to improve anti-cheat. There's not really anything I can contribute. Thanks for the input!
@@GravityDrop the hackers can be really easy to spot in this game. They'll shoot you the moment you get line of sight to them even if you're far away and they have no way to know you're there. And then there are the ones who can shoot through shields. There's often no subtlety to it whatsoever.

I think the reason that they round up to the highest player in the party is because high players would grind by simply playing with a low-ranked smurf
Im totally fine with that under two conditions. They go up less per win, and they go down way more per loss. As long as it adjusts for rank differential, im totally cool. Plus if you're a bronze smurf, within a couple tournament wins you're already almost gold. Smurfs climb fast in this game you can hit plat in one day easily. Hurting an entire system bc of smurfs is a mistake many teams have made. As it turns out, if your system is fun and allows playing with friends, people arent as incentivized to smurf in the first place. "Smurfs" will abuse any system. Trying to form a system around them is insane and never works.

It isn’t overwatch, it isn’t apex, it isn’t cs go, it’s an arcade shooter. Rank changes won’t change anything with this game’s player base, that isn’t this game’s target audience wether intended or not. Since it is an arcade shooter it is competing with cod and battle field. That’s an uphill battle that they’ll never win. Enjoy the live servers while you can it won’t last.

The player count is dumb. Everyone who plays this game know it’s amazing.
They changed both ranked and the fcar last week which is pretty good, in my region not many people play ranked and you rarely can find matches. I like the idea of the orbital lasers activating faster, would be pretty powerful in powershift againt the other team that is on the platform.
For me, I hate it when they removed mouse and keyboard support from console. I know a lot ppl would say get a pc. Man I'm a broke ass gamer. But seriously I left this game because of this and THE FINALS is truly a GREAT GAME.
PC players still complain about Aim Assist. You want me to be real. PC players are the ones that ruined this game. They complained so much about everything.

Movement feels so stiff in the game. I don’t understand, out of everything Embark has chosen to innovate, why movement is not a priority.

I have to say, a lot, a looot of coping in this video. Also, if a game lost so much of its playerbase, no amount of small tweaking to ranked and hosting tournaments (wtf? who's gonna watch them?) is gonna change the core issues.

The Problem is everybody is just playing casual. If you would play ranked too reach diamond then you would play it. But people do not try. Shooters like CS Apex overwatch are all washed up dude. The only things they should change is to bring SBMM. Reached Solo diamond with Flamethrower so i dont get people being mad about guns.

i have been playing another game for the last week and half and was pleasantly surprised to hear about bomb defusal mode. i believe ranked needs a new ruleset at this point.
Nobody and their mother would want a grenade launcher meta , trust me , from some1 who plays league at a high lvl a brain dead meta is the worst meta and most annoying

I acctually disagree with you on the late weapon patches , most big games started completely unbalanced, but took a lot of time to work on them, it took a whole year for valorant to reach its peak, its better to go slow and make big improvements or move fast and fck things up, and I wish they add a night market lol.
Also having avg Mmr is a good idea but it will make queues a lot slower for people higher ranked. That’s how that works

I actually wasn’t aware that ranked games went off the highest member of the party. I’m currently a plat 2 and play with my girlfriend who is a lowly silver and a good friend of mine who has been stuck within gold. That being said, when I play with them, we get absolute 💩’d on. However if I queue up solo, even without coms, we can make it to the finals almost every game. That definitely needs changing in my opinion as I’d love to be able to play ranked w my squad and actually have a fair + enjoyable experience. But despite this, I still love the hell outa the game!

i agree with everything except the average mmr in ranked. this was a huge problem in siege because diamonds queued with silvers and just 1v5 the whole lobby
People were actively punished for using crosshairs in the beta. People had to wait weeks to be unbanned, or were banned for the entirety of the beta.
This is why the subject is so controversial. But in terms of the official game, no punishments. I did not play in any of the playtests so perhaps thats why I didnt understand all the noise at first. Just another reason Embark NEEDS to reclarify their position. Not sure if the TOS has changed but they simply arent punishing anymore. They obviously are aware of this and think it's better to not address it all. Maybe they think addressing it will encourage people to push limits and use actually game altering software? No clue. Wish they'd just be honest about it.
I think people place too much importance on ranked games, at least right now. It's an important component, but ranked games won't work if the game itself makes mistakes. I mean, who's going to play ranked or watch tournaments if there are no players? Not all players play ranked games. Many prefer to play regular games. The problem is that there is simply nothing to do in the game. As another commenter wrote - players have nothing to grind. Games like Apex, Call of Duty or to a lesser extent Battlefield are way ahead in this regard. Even without playing ranked games, you can grind skins, in-game currency to unlock skins, grind new weapons to level up, and so on. In finals this is developed very, very poorly. You don't have really unique and worthy rewards for you to put your time and effort into them.
Regarding the other points, there is logic in some of the words of the author, for example, that the developers are too slow to introduce balance patches, buff/unfold weapons. And here in my opinion lies the main problem of the game. It is too choky. There's too high a percentage of randomness in Finals that you have absolutely no control over, with too much punishment for your mistakes. You play, going into a game rush, getting fun, get killed, and every time you have to wait more than 10 seconds to get back up, and if your last teammate dies, even more.... I understand that Embark want players to play as a team, but damn it, if I want to play as a team, I'll go to Squad or any other tactical shooter. I want to have fun, to play with my squad on objective, not sit in the tavern for half a minute after every revive and further death from nukes (which was not fixed for 3 months). I mean, every time I'm playing ranked, I must prepare myself like I'm going to play the Tournament. This is not right. I would like to climb to diamond+, well, I will put 24 hours into the game, but in most cases I just want to get some chill ranked expirinece. But I just cannot, jsut because everything is saying me, that if I make mistake - I will most likely go into respawn for few minutes and than again and again. It's not right.
In my opinion, it's this, too long cooldowns, revivals, little content, coupled with an absolutely uninteresting meta that has been in the game for 2 and a half seasons, and most importantly - slow updates and balance fixes, all this kills the game. But not in any way the problems of ranked. The game is too choky to play it for a long time...

If it's going to stay as is, then queuing with bronzes as a plat, I should not be queuing into Top 500 players. If I play people my rank or slightly above thats fine. But if the best player on your team is WAY worse than the worst player on an enemy team, then the matchmaker has simply failed. By all means put people in challenging brackets and asses them respectively. But when the enemies are multiple ranks ahead it's just too big of a gap, especially when it comes to grand finals 3v3 situations. Like If my team is P3, S3, B1. Im totally fine playing against a team of P1, P1, P2 or whatever. But queuing with silvers then going against Top500, D2, D3 is lowkey wild. I do think this system was intended to be temporary and safe until they perfect it. Thanks!!

I would like to see a 5 v 5 CSGO/CS2 type game mode where one team guards and the other attacks to put the cash in the cashout. But instead of "defusing" the cashout you just steal it.
Also this would be on a smaller map.
As for competitive I think they need rewards for winning a tournament or gain a special currency the farther you get in the tournament, to purchase exclusive skins/gear.

No, I dont want the meta to shift too drastically. I use a super non-meta weapon, and like playing against the regular old hitscan rifles. And yes I agree with you, recon was absolute non-descript ailment, and the n*kes being removed was honestly the overall best gameplay change they did.
I enjoyed this game in the first season as it was new and like you say I had plenty time off work to play it, but playing solo in this game is terrible. I'd be keen on giving this game another go with some team mates if anyone is interested. (Can't be arsed with another discord channel)
I find it a bit funny that high ranked players have this myopic (and borderline selfish) view that adding more prestige to ranked is somehow going to increase the game's reach, when the majority of players are in low ranks and very likely most people play quick play anyway because of the variety offered in both game modes and meta. Ranked tournaments are much bigger commitment than single round quick cash, blank it, or even power shift. Either quick play needs balances like skill-based matchmaking, switching sides, and auto balancing, or more game modes need to be included in ranked.

like let’s all on the same page here, the game was basically shadow dropped, not marketed at all afterwards and then they didn’t drop any real updates on the game for like a month or two after launch. it really feels to me like they dropped an early access game to get further testing so they can turn it into the “top fps competitor” they want it to be. that’s why streamers aren’t getting paid to play it, that’s why they aren’t pushing ranked or competitive modes, that’s why the game only launched with 1 new map and some melee weapons lmao, etc. WE ARE THE PLAYTESTERS FOR THE FUTURE OF THE FINALS. if they were truly worried about player numbers they’d start marketing and crunching

Honestly the game is pretty hard to run with consistent fps compared to other games like valorant, overwatch and even cs2 (now cs2 is actually hard to run now) and it definitely is a limiting factor on how popular the game can get. You definitely need cpu's that are on the newer to play the game properly I struggled to play with an i5 6600 and a 1060 it was a stuttery mess and basically urged me to get a new pc even now with r7 7700 and a 3080 I cannot hit the 144 I would want.

The finals , tho I love it and play it regularly is a very very sweaty game … too much going on all at once . If I’m a new player to the finals I am not sticking around once I see a floor collapsing on top of me while green gas eats my health and ppl are going invis at light speed while someone shoots goo everywhere oh and there’s also turrets on the walls and my gun only has 20 bullets ….
Yes the game is great but it needs a casual game mode , there’s nothing casual about the finals as it is today .
true af dude. I don't mind to play in skill required game, but Finals have too much things going on that you cannot control. You playing, dying, and sitting at a respawn menu for almost a minute if your last teammate dies... Devs want to create a competative game, but that's just not fun. Not all community like to play like a typical cybersport guy, getting sweat every game.
That's why COD or BF much more popular. You die, respawn fast, go brrr again. Everything going fast. Want some skill based? Go into the ranked MP, or go into the Warzone. In Finals, almost all modes feels like a ranked game, but with shitty teammates. Over time, it just gets stressful

It’s super fun when you’re on the top percent of skilled players but the generals population aren’t “skilled players” just average at best . Nobody wants to come and get sweat on. Everyone likes to hate on cod but even average players can feel like a somebody from time to time .
Put a team slayer , king of the hill , free for all playlist with just the medium class . Let ppl learn the ropes of the game before your throw them in into the rest of the game . Even if it is just a timed event I’m sure people would be willing to come and check it out .
The game needs to have a casual mode without sbmm. Remember, the game has to be fun, not competitive. Why would u like to have a tryhard difficult game mode like rankeds if the base of the game is boring and has no others modes where people can enjoy and relax when they arrive tired from the school or their jobs. It has no sense.
I understand your perspective and agree that your average player doesnt wanna sweat SUPER hard. But you also must accept without an extreme competitive side, the game will die. No FPS game lasts without a high skill ceiling ranked mode with rewards. This is why content creators have all left the game(especially streamers) -> less viewers play -> game gets less support -> no game for casuals to play
It's not that hot of a take. No game like this survives long enough to please a casual community without having a top tier rank system and gameplay. Good dev teams can do both, make casual modes AND ranked fun. Let's see what they're cookingthx for stopping by!
@@GravityDrop Well, cods black ops 1 and 2, left 4 dead, battlefield 4. All were soo good casual games without an intense competitive. More people used to play team deathmatch or kill confirmed than domain for example.
@@system_default_ Black Ops 1-4 are some of my most cherished video games of all time. I have more hours on Black Ops 3 than any game and will likely never top it. That being said there are reasons those games thrived without competitive being at the forefront but it would require a long conversation to explain EVERYTHING those games did perfectly. The devs for Black Ops 2-3 were incredibly smart and knew exactly what they were doing. They had perfect timing and perfect supply of something in high demand. Would love to discuss further in my discord sometime if you're interested! But I think we can both agree times have changed. The formula that worked in 2010-2015 does not work in 2024. And I did compete A LOT in Black Ops 3. That game was also incredibly competitive which drove playtime and sentiment through the roof for Zombies AND multiplayer.
They really fucked up on not putting effort on eSports/private tournaments. I think it's a must on any competitive FPS games. Now it is too late since orgs will have no interest in investing on a game that significantly lost its hype.
You have a great point that I was trying to convey in the video. Embark does not have time on their side. But they didnt mess it up yet. They have a window to get private matches/tournaments going. The game is still relevant and clearly is generating excitement and revenue(as I showed towards the end of the video). So many orgs will be lining up ready to support tournaments once the game is ready for them, as long as it doesnt take too long. I trust Embark. They're cooking
I played pubg mobile from it's third season and the hacking problem continued for 3 years and on pc hacking was much worse. I don't understand why everyone is hating on the finals because hackers while almost every single game suffered from the same problem for long time!

I was one of those people who were excited and looking forward to play this game. Played in beta tests and also when it was officially released. I stopped playing and I can only say from personal experience why, maybe someone has had similar experience. I bought new PC (all games run smoothly on highest graphics, etc etc) and when I entered every single match, disconnects happened (my net connection is excellent and it doesn't happen to any other game, except Paladins - which is a known issue from a side of a game by many players). Every now and then I also got a bug where I was literally looking in-game from my own ass point of view, no joke and as you expect, it impacted the gameplay especially while running. Needless to say, it ruined my joy in-game so I stopped playing. I don't know if they fixed these issues but if they did, I'd love to give it a try again.
They've improved tremendously on a lot of crash and performance issues! Definitely should give it another shot!
do we really need popular content creators to come and change the game to what they want?? The game is unique so the community just has to build itself from the ground up. Even Apex took a bit to get started and even then in wasn't until ALGS started where we started seeing people really start fw Apex. Just give it some time.

What threw me off the most, was in all the betas and season 1 the ranked climb constisted of only time put into the game. Season 2 changed it to beeing more punishing, which i liked at first and it's what i wished for since the beginning. I have a ton of hours in the game and finding players, who suit yourplaystyle, fit your irl character AND play at a level, that matches yours has always been a hit or miss. Now here is the big issue that comes from these two things:
Hitting Diamond is no problem for the avg competitive player. Climbing to D3 seems like a minor challenge if you have the right players + time and effort.
This is where it becomes (for me in these words) inhumane and absolute toxic for mental health and relationships.
As soon as you reached the already time consuming goal of D3, climbing higher REQUIRES you to go on big winning streaks. You HAVE to win at least 7,8,9 matches IN A ROW to climb. I've seen countless instances, where i drop 150 leaderboard ranks from losing a single FINAL ROUND, while only getting 20-40 per win. The fact you have to have a perfect Team setup+get lucky you don't run into cheaters to achieve these winning streaks, makes it so freaking frustrating when u lose a single game. 1 loss requires another winstreak, when you break that winstreak you require another one. It's an endless cycle and the amount of perfection it requires in terms of gameplay is literally non human. At this point i've lost countless friends i made in the finals community, due to them not beeing able to keep up in skill (i know it can sound arrogant, but it's jut how it is) that is -perfection- in D2+ or by single mistakes, that cost the game due to us beeing human and not robots, resulting in arguments, ending up not playing together again. I like them as people, i enjoy playing casuals with them. But the ranked system in this game does not allow for the smallest mistakes. One death at the wrong time and you lose the entire game and EVERYTHING except WINNING the final round, loses you such an immense amount of points, that it's not fair to anyone.
You become so limited to the people you queue with and matching time where you can meet up is another topic. I started to only play with 2 fixed people, because with everyone else from any LFG server, i could only find 1 other person who i can consistently win every game with.
If the game would be more about "what round can you reach?" instead of "can you win the finals?" it would be way more humane and healthy.
It's literally like saying only the 1st place in a soccer tournament gets 1000 dollars. But everyone else who took part and didn't reach first place will have to pay 5000 dollars.
(before any comments about skill appear, i'm not the best player on earth but i loved this game from the first minute and i put 1500hrs into the game, adding all betas. I reached top 100 multiple times, stopped playing the game at D2 this season due to the things i mentioned. My friends who are D2 and D1 stopped playing for these reasons too.)
There isn't ranked matches in SA so they have to keep working on ranked mode
