My father works in Saudia and we visit Saudia every year . To be honest I love love love this country! We have the best trips ever eg going to Makkah and Madina from Dammam . The best road trips ever . Moreover foods, malls ,lifestyle is so cool there! And yesss your points are soo true and it hurts when social medias spread hate about this country!

Don't get hurt dear we are used to this....although, we don't understand why people do so. It is really irrelevant because what matters to us is how we in reality embrace people who come to our country. How we treat them, respect them...spare no chance to support and help them live peacefully and earn their living and be able to support their families and achieve their objectives for which they left their homeland and took the pain to come here...

"Just how free are women in Saudi Arabia today? The Saudi government has said it supports the empowerment of women and young people. While there have been reforms, including lifting the ban on women driving in June 2018, the arrest and detention of women speaking out against the government appear to have continued.
Al Jazeera World looks at the individual cases of five Saudi women currently in detention, or who have fled the country following apparent harassment for their political views. It asks whether Saudi Arabia is publicly championing the rights of women while privately punishing those who challenge the status quo.
In this film, the family of one detainee makes serious allegations of torture during her imprisonment, while others give testimonies about random arrests and arbitrary detention at Dhahban prison near Jeddah. According to Human Rights Watch, and following international pressure, the Saudi Human Rights Commission carried out an investigation into conditions at Dhahban and found no evidence of torture.
This film examines the consequences of activism in Saudi Arabia, hearing from women detainees and international human rights organisations, as well as seeking responses from those at the heart of decision-making within the country."

But sadly the management of Saudia at that time didn't gave him respect which he deserved. He quit and started working for PAN AM where he earned so much that his kids are enjoying today.

I listened to your entire video and I still don’t know anything about that country. Do they have access to the Internet freely without government interference? Do they have satellite dishes where they can see programs from other countries? Are they allowed to swim in their seas and lakes? Are women allowed to wear bathing suits? Can a woman go to a restaurant by herself or with girlfriends to eat? Can she travel without her husband‘s permission? Why don’t you write down whatever you want to talk about and organize it so that you can actually cover the important things about that country because with all the talking you did, I still know nothing.

So what are the real reasons to go to SA? Money only?
    - Cant behave how you would like to
    - Cant eat things you would like to(pork)
    - Cant drink alcohol(beer is a must)
    - Cant pickup girls and have ONSs
How you actually pass time in SA as a expat?
Like for a expat what is the reason to go to SA? Particularly Riyadh as there is not even a sea side.
For someone from Europe is don't see too many reasons apart of interesting job for interesting pay. Obviously working abroad is always a experience but not sure how much this gives and takes....
