I'm from India and I haven't travelled to any foreign country yet. But I feel it's necessary to get familiar with different countries and accept the differences with respect. Good to see travel vloggers showing the real side of countries and their people. This helps to build mutual harmony and respect rather than the hate spread by news media. Love you all

From my experience of working and living in Saudi Arabia many Saudi women are exactly like her. Both men and women there are usually intelligent, confident, and have a great sense of humor in my experience.

@@z4kry44 this! european Jew here from the u.s and I’ll never Forget meeting a Muslim from Dubai in my hometown (a beach town so we get international tourists a lot) and somehow, we got into the conversation and both said to each other that we don’t get why Jews and Muslims hate each other , it was a very stereotype breaking conversation… Some may disagree with this and I also may be wrong as my family is not religious but we are very proud of our Jewish roots as an ethnicity and I find the Arab/Jewish cultures more similar than not.

I did a job for a Saudi family here in my hometown. The hospitality was off the charts. We spoke the entire time about everything under the sun. The absolutely insisted on feeding me. Was a very nice experience. Saludos Abdul Hadid 👍

after seeing this video on my recommended page for so long i decided to watch it. and i would admit that i agree with what she said, she spoke the truth. and as a 20 year old fully covered women *by choice* i would advise you to not be so quick to judge, just because we are covered you don't have to but a distance and be scared or intimidated to come up and talk to us, i would love to have a conversation.
I am from Kashmir..worked in almost all top companies in Saudi Arabia. Said goodbye some 4 yrs back. All I can say is, I have had the best part of my life there. I gave to Saudi the prime of my youth and in return it gave me love, respect and an immense confidence in myself. Apart from work we would party with friends..go to beaches, stay there for whole night...we cannot undo all negativity spread by western media but by sharing honest opinions I think we can do our part. My family felt so safe in the kingdom. The people pay so much of respect to your family. Countless times I have seen even youngsters stopping cars to allow your family to cross the road..a tyre bursts off your car and you will see Saudis coming from nowhere to help you out.. There were negative experiences as well but I feel they were too minimal in the wake of what I have got from Saudi and its people. I wish them the best.

Just merely 15 yeras ago I remember I HAD to escort my sister everywhere because it was mandated by law. She wasent allowed to drive, find professional employment, own property, be part of committed and more. She wrote a well researched academic paper criticizing saudi politico-economics and She was sentenced to 4 months in prison where she was flogged and tortured. Whenever foreigners come to UAE (ie my professors) they tell us technology crashed down on you and you had to absorb everything so fast. I mean now I see Saudi and if we crashed they probably hit it with the speed of light. So proud of them, and my only advice is to keep your tradition because it's your identity. Other than that I see Saudi being more forward than us in UAE they have intelligent kids over there. Quite smart and kind. I am a UK born woman who arrived in Dubai, UAE as a single mom, with no religious convictions. 6yrs later and I found my way to God (Allah). I wear niqab by my own choice and just this year I married a Saudi (I am a second wife). Please keep exploring the Middle East as you have, because I feel you are a great ambassador to show the west what life in the Gulf is really like.. rich in culture and yet so cutting edge in technology and future vision.. where woman are strong and revered. It makes me very happy to see the Saudi women given the consideration and respect they deserve. I moved from Australia to live in Kuching, Malaysia a year ago after having lived here for a decade 20 yrs ago and Muslim women have always lived as freely and independently as their life and work allow. We have a mixed culture with Malays who are Muslim, Chinese who are mostly Christians and a small % of Indian and Sikh ppl. We all get along and respect one another. It's wonderful to be able to choose where we want to live simply because we love the culture and ppl.

From my experience of working and living in Saudi Arabia many Saudi women are exactly like her. Both men and women there are usually intelligent, confident, and have a great sense of humor in my experience.

I am from Kashmir..worked in almost all top companies in Saudi Arabia. Said goodbye some 4 yrs back. All I can say is, I have had the best part of my life there. I gave to Saudi the prime of my youth and in return it gave me love, respect and an immense confidence in myself. Apart from work we would party with friends..go to beaches, stay there for whole night...we cannot undo all negativity spread by western media but by sharing honest opinions I think we can do our part. My family felt so safe in the kingdom. The people pay so much of respect to your family. Countless times I have seen even youngsters stopping cars to allow your family to cross the road..a tyre bursts off your car and you will see Saudis coming from nowhere to help you out..
There were negative experiences as well but I feel they were too minimal in the wake of what I have got from Saudi and its people. I wish them the best.

She wrote a well researched academic paper criticizing saudi politico-economics and She was sentenced to 4 months in prison where she was flogged and tortured. Wouldn't she need to ask for permission from a male member of her family before she is permitted to travel abroad; even if the only living male family member is her 11 year-old brother who might even be mentally retarded? Is this still "her choice" or is it legally required before she is issued a permit to travel abroad?

It makes me very happy to see the Saudi women given the consideration and respect they deserve. I moved from Australia to live in Kuching, Malaysia a year ago after having lived here for a decade 20 yrs ago and Muslim women have always lived as freely and independently as their life and work allow. We have a mixed culture with Malays who are Muslim, Chinese who are mostly Christians and a small % of Indian and Sikh ppl. We all get along and respect one another. It's wonderful to be able to choose where we want to live simply because we love the culture and ppl.
