I have watched all of your videos and you are the (best) I have ever seen...joy to see someone who is so meticulous, Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent .................
when he does that it helps to create that uneven rim that is on the finished teabowl, it is a simple trick that can have great results
Hi, please watch my video #7. Making your own Trimming Tools from Hacksaw Blades.
oh wow cool i just watched it and will be doing this soon. I hope my work can be as beautiful as yours soon... thanks!
Interestingly, at first I thought how cleverly the wizard made 5 hills on the chawan. But he then took it and fixed it.
Beautiful!
Please show these after they are glaze fired!
Please watch my video #122
You level it first (tip: use a bubble leveler)
what is the purpose of depressing the rim of the teabowl before you pull it up.....*the squiggly indention of the rim""
Hi, Beautiful work. How do you trim the tea bowls with irregular lips?
That is what I thought then it seemed like it was evened out somewhat.... thanks
I have learned a lot from watching your videos and was wondering what tool you are using for trimming at the end. All i have is the trimmer that is in a loop with dull blades. thanks!
Awesome
I'd almost like to see you holding the finished product. It is hard for me to grasp throwing a 6" "tea bowl". I need to see the shrinkage to get an idea.
Do you throw with english grolleg? It looks like a very nice body to work with.
Very nice
how will you glaze these tea bowls?
Isn't this style of tea bowls exclusively Japanese? I can never bring myself to appreciate this style though... It doesn't look like it takes as much skills as it would to make the Chinese style tea bowls I'm use to seeing.
