@@noname6969 Scarlet Crusade (including Whitemane) in canon was never able to distinguish between the Scourge and the Forsaken.
In fact, their paranoia was so great that they basically considered everyone not under Scarlet Crusade's control to be either Scourge, Scourge pretending to be not Scourge (aka, the Forsaken), or people infected with the Scourge who can turn at any instant and need to be purged ASAP. Hence the Alliance justification for fighting the Scarlet Crusade.

The thing is ETC plays very very much like Cairne (and other Tauren chieftains) from Warcraft3, so if they do want add Cairne he needs to be a completely new design. Which I would love to see but I doubt it will happen. A "real" Gnome hero would also be cool, because Chromie really doesn't count.

At some point Brightwing was considered the counter to Illidan.
I think it's nice design to have some Heroes that have no escape, but in the current meta not so much.
Pretty much every new hero release adds to the power level of Genji and Tracer. Unless they release a hero that is deliberately designed to counter hyper-mobile heroes, Tracer and Genji see an increase in their power level.
@The Wail of a Dying Coyote Li Li gets movement speed when being attacked and can heal herself constantly while running away without having to make damage + she can slow with her wind attack
Rehgar can place the totem to slow and become a wolf to move faster
Alex can slow with the fireball and could disappear with her ultimate
Ana - yes is kind of a victim of them - but I got away often enough using the sleep dart and the other dart you can skill to slow enemy's movement
Uther can stun and heal himself while running away
Stukov can slow too and push away with his ulti
Cain can slow and root (+tornado ult)
Brightwing can push away with her ulti too or teleport to another player
Kharazim can jump away or use his ulti to not die
And even Auriel can kick away enemies.
Who did I forget?
EDIT: I forgot Morales, she does seem to be quite the victim for those hyper-mobile heroes but at least she can give herself a shield, kick away enemies with the grenade and she can skill that she gets protection or is able to exchange energy for health

OMG I got so much chills. I used to run a ton of Scarlet Monastery back in WoW release and I was having a blast. This brings back a ton of awesome memories.
Cool moveset, but I'm concerned having a character in red with highly visible gorgeous distracting thighs will make it hard to distinguish her from Valeera in the heat of battle.

Rippiripper The Scarlet Crusade is a faction of EXTREME fanaticism. Zeal is much more appropriate than atonement.
But her abilities DIRECLTY counter part those: desperate plea=plea, a small heal that applies atonement/zeal,. inquisition= penance, a channeled ability that does damage to an enemy, (or with the level one talent heals an ally like penance can). Theyre clearly copied off the WoW versions of the abilities so why not give them the same names for consistency
Inquisition doesn't function like penance, though. Penance is a few massive globes of healing or damage, whereas Inquisition is a more-persistent, smaller damage/healing ability.
More references are likely in the talent tree, it usually does contain recognizeable names associated to the respective characters theme.

Great job Blizz! I like the character model, the auto attack animations look cool, the spell animations look cool. The skin looks awesome! This is a true to lore model with fun animations and interesting game play mechanics.

This desperation thing seems to try to discourage just throwing your q on everyone all the time, like malf who just uses q and w on cooldown, and instead have mana management be a big part of her gameplay. We'll see how this pans out when she gets released though.

Heroes of Warcraft would have been better than Heroes of the Storm honestly since Warcraft has soooooooooo many "heroes".
So you would rather a game that has absolutely no non-Warcraft heroes as opposed to one that just mostly has Warcraft heroes? I don't get why people complain that Warcraft has dominated the roster and wish they would just have made it Heroes of Warcraft. If they're complaining, that means they obviously care enough about playing the game and they dislike playing warcraft heroes. So why wish that the game had absolutely no Overwatch, Starcraft or Diablo heroes? Then those people are left with a game they would (assumedly) hate more than the current one.

Yeah unfortunately it's like Blizzard's HoTS team is all WoW/OW players probably a bunch of cucks who have never played Warcraft. The player base is mostly Warcraft players. The literal reason I quit Dota 2 was because I got to play nostalgic heroes from the WC universe... but they keep implementing WoW heroes instead of Warcraft heroes. SMH.

I'm surprised that the response has been so positive. She literally has none of her abilities from WoW.
Don't get me wrong, I think she looks like a fun support with a cool kit but I thought the community would be way more butthurt.
What abilities? Besides her Mass Resurrect, of course. As much as I like Whitemane and love Scarlet Monastery as a dungeon Whitemane was not exactly an interesting boss to fight. We just spanked her (heh) with very little, if any, strategy involved.
Simo-Pekka Metsävainio Battle Rez, Area Sleep, and Mind Control are the main abilities, the first two obviously being what she's known for. They could have even done something interesting with Morgaine if they wanted.
And two of those three abilities, Battle Rez and Mind Control, are already taken by Auriel and Sylvanas. Guess we could say Deckard has the Area Sleep with Stay a While and Listen. Plus I personally think Sleep is more iconic for a Dreadlord hero from WC3 anyway.
See? Sometimes changes and compromises must be made. Although I agree that having Renault Mograine following her around would have been both neat but most of all hilarious in a way.
I don't really understand what your point is? I'm well aware of what abilities other heroes have and I'm not complaining about the hero, I'm simply saying that I'm surprised the fanbase isn't more upset by this because this hero is only really Whitemane in name and character model.
Also, Dreadlord's iconic ability is single target sleep while Whitemane's is an AoE. That would make much more sense as a standard ability rather than an ult.
A vanilla-era dungeon boss hero ability set does not make for a great Moba Hero. I would prefer if we kept ressurects as sparse as possible in the game. She has her personality in her aesthetics, behaviour and animations and people have always considered her an atonement discpriest, so she got an adapated kit based on that.
There are people upset about it, but most people understand by now that gameplay and a functional hero is more important than prioritizing flavor 100%
We have too many shields and aoe stuns in the game. its fine enough that one of her ults can become a yank.
