When I turn on my MPC4000 I hearing 5-7 beeps or buzz’s I got it used needs sensors pads n a good cleaning but not positive what that sound could b Hd maybe ??? It only happens if I turn it off for a hr or more
Peace Fam it most positively is the HD & then the Fan. These are known hardware faults that users discover over time & change out themselves including the pads (Fat Pad mod). Check the MPC forums for exact specs on modifications & MPC stuff for parts. I hit Ebay up for my parts, more negotionable.
Can u please make 1 on using 808s..I need to know what settings allow me to hit a pad and the next pad I hit cuts the previous pad sound off I'm using 808 n chop samples
Hey Thanks for your work, I like the relaxed style of your infotainment videos. I have 2 questions. 1. What is your strategy when saving your sounds on the 4k? You have 2 folders Samples and Tracks. Do you save everything Sounds in this folder and the rest in the respective project folder? 2. Can effect presets be saved? I haven't found anything in the manual, the machine or on the internet? Danx from Berlin Man
Effects presets cannot be saved from what I know outside of the auto load folder. When it comes to saving songs, under the tracks folder, I go buy a year and then month. And then the name of the track. Those are all separate folders. And in the folder that has the track name. I save all necessary information even the samples. This means I am technically doubling up my used samples by saving them twice, but I really don’t mind since my sample memory is pretty small per track, and I have an 80 gig hard drive in there
Z4 & Z8 both have the similar options as the 4K. Same sequence and can read and play the same program files with samples. They also have the same effect options (If the effect card is installed). The only obvious thing is No pads on any of the rack models Z series. One must hook up a MIDI hardware to trigger the sounds at will.
@@BORN7SUPREME Just to start on a new beat while on the same project? I was talking about right after making a beat then you want to make a whole another beat. Do you have to create a default folder or just turn it off and turn it back on to create another beat?
@@SoulOfTheSouth That’s up to you. It’s not necessary to restart the 4K, unless you’ve maxed out your Ram with samples used in another project and want to use others. Only then would it be necessary for a hard reset ( Powering off & on ) to clear the Ram to allow for other sample use. As long as those anomalies are not restricting continuous use, it’s not necessary to reload your Autoload folder. You can make different projects with different sounds all at the same time (Your RAM is limited to 512mb max) So it is the deciding factor at all times.
Thanks! Saved me from driving myself crazy trying to remember how to do this! 👍
Dope! Keep dropping your knowledge on the 4000. Best MPC ever
Jose Berrios door bro! Appreciate that, I def will. And yes.. it’s the best one! Haha

Cannon Smith is the sound coming out of the speakers, or does it sound like it’s inside the MPC?

I have a 1000…..
If I get a z series sampler, would that make it a 4000?????
Or should I just get one??????

How to start on a new project on the mpc 4000 without turning the mpc off?
Just select a new Sequence, you have the option to have up to 128 sequences.
