Only recently found this channel. I downloaded the freebies and once I master them, will look at your other paid items. I am still learning the uke, with a lot of bad habits since I come from a guitar background. Strumming especially.
Enjoy and thank you for joining in! Just so you know, if you enjoy this channel and you can support it for Amir, two dollars a month at the link to my Patreon page… It keeps the channel going and keeps you stocked with song sheets and other helpful items for your playing as a thank you gift. 😄
Glad you dug it & found it helpful...it's one of many formulas I'll be sharing in the future. AAB is one of those ideas you can never exhaust...longer ideas for the A...ABAB...so many ways to go. Happy playing, Stu
Stu, first of, thank you for all you have taught me so far. I consider you to be my ukulele guru meaning, a spiritual teacher, especially one who imparts initiation. Because you have helped me along as far as I have gotten playing the ukulele. I have been at it for just less than a year. TH-cam can be a Wonderland rabbit hole for a beginner but your teaching is always, peaceful, precise, and clear. I hope to be one of the first patrons to join you in support of your mission.
Hi Keith, Thanks so much for your kind & sincere words. I'm happy to be able to pass along (through the magic of You Tube) some of what I've been taught by my teachers. When the Patreon page is launched I look forward to it being a way where I can take requests & have even better content for good folks like you. Wishing you well...happy playing, Stu
Hey Stu This is awesome and really “trippy”!!!! You know what might be a great tutorial to make... how about Louie Prima, “when your smiling” I always thought it would be a great song to play with uke and kazzoo,, together. I know I’m asking a lot and all, with billy Joel’s “Vienna” and now Louie Prima. I’m sure they arn’t easy songs to play, but that’s the fun, to challenge our selves. And that’s what I love about your teaching I always feel challenged. Thanks Stu you rock Stu thanks for everything.
Day Trippy! :-) I will be opening up the Patreon hoagie & structuring part of the new content to be devoted to the requests of good folks like you! Thanks for watching & for your patience!
Ukulele Zen cool Stu, there are a few people I follow (non as amazing as you ... of course) who have tied to get me to pay for patrion pages, but for you, I will. I hope this doesn’t mean we won’t get you here. But I’m a fan so I gotta do what I gotta do.
Hi Stu' thank's for that great "day tripper" tutorial. It's really a cool idea to have a patreon page ! I have a request for tour patreon page (no hurry at all), I often play a easy version of "there but for fortune" of Joan Baez, one of my greatest song, would you have a way to embellish it ? thank's so much
Hey Colin, Once I have the Patreon page up, I'll be taking requests through it & structuring the channel in a way that your request will make it in the mix! Can't wait to announce it soon! Play on, Stu
For this uke I have Aquila nylgut strings. I like the way they make this uke "pop". For my mellower LOW G uke sounds I like to use a fluorocarbon string...I will soon have a NEW uke & am experimenting with other strings. Just like a new set of shoes, strings can really change the entire "outfit" so to speak ;) Thanks for watching and hanging out here...hope you'll subscribe for more goodies... Play on! Stu
Thanks for taking the time to reply, it’s truly appreciated. If you haven’t tried them and like a very mellow sound I’ll recommend either Living Water or Pepe Romero tenor both with a low g. I look forward to watching, listening and learning from you in January at the Brown County Ukulele Festival. It will be my first festival and I’m pretty darn excited! At 66 I’m getting a late start but what the heck. Thanks for all the fine instruction. Wes

I understand - keep at it! Keep in mind that if you "connect the dots" on your own, you'll know it all the better! It took me a while to "see the dots" on a classical guitar where there are no fret dots at all :) Thanks for watching!
Hi stu, I'm having a lot a fun with day tripper, but when I try to sing it I'm not right with the meldody, I must make a mistake somewhere but I can't find where, can you help me please ? I play it like this : 2 measures of C7 - 1 measure F7 - 2 measures of C7 - 3 measures of D7 - 1/2 measure of F - 1 measure of E7 - 1 measure of A - 1 measure of G
Hey Colin, Do you have the song sheet to follow along with? It's at the "free tabs & goodies" section...follow links in the vid. Follow along & count the beats. 4 beats/bar. TO get you started, the C7 is played for four bars,
good musicians don't have problem where we have some ! I go the song sheet, it's sound strange when i play 4beats/bar each chord espacially for the second part of the verse, I'll try it again thanks

A quick question. What strings are you using and do you use the same strings on all your ukuleles? Another fun video, thank you!

Nice lesson but I wish your use had marks on frets; at least 5 and 7 and 10
