That is so cool! I really hope she sticks with it. Jiujitsu is such an amazing sport and it’s so great for kids. It teaches them such incredible things! I hope these drills help her out! They help me and many of my students!! I also just posted a little Flashcard jiujitsu game this morning. I know this stay at home order stuff can be rough. I’m trying to help give parents and kids a way to play and practice at home! 🙏🏻

Hi Erika, I have had one BJJ class, about a year ago, while I was visiting a school across the country while traveling for work. I'm primarily tkd and hapkido, though I just started arnis as well. I teach some hapkido and I like to integrate BJJ ground work into hkd. Surviving on the ground is important! So especially now, when we can't practice a lot of traditional hkd joint locks, throws, etc. on one another, I'm looking for drills we can do to keep ourselves ready. Several of these fit the bill, so thank you!

Thanks so much for the video! Great easier place to start (especially during covid lol! 😂😭). Quick question regarding the pillow: is it better to use a body length pillow (like 1.5 ft by 5 ft) or something fat and square (like 2 ft x 2 ft)? I have both so I wasn’t sure heh! 😅 Thanks again for the video. 😊✨

I might have missed it, but what are you training with? Is that some sort of floor bag?

That is awesome! I have always wanted to go to Chicago! I was actually supposed to compete at the ibjjf open in Chicago last weekend. But because of the virus everything was cancelled. But some day I’ll get to see Chicago! And hopefully compete there! Thanks for watching the video. I appreciate the support!

I'd like to try these Drills.
But in Duo training one has to do Jumping JJJ as a starting Way&Path instead of Standing or Ground. Because the combatants one will encounter will be so humongous and muscular and shredded, you'll have to conquer them by locking and choking the legs around the head which is basically like a checkmate situation for the opponent.
