  • Prices have gone up across the board, but so have equipment levels. Now, all variants get the 1.5 VTEC Turbo and Honda Sensing as standard, so it's off to a really good start! Check it out, here.

    Not really a fan with the new front hammerhead shark design. Yes, it's a departure from it's FC variant but i feel like the mature look does not embody the essence of the Civic. Looks more Accord-ish. But all in all, it is definitely a big upgrade from it's predecessor in terms of interior and performance

    Seems like a good deal on the base model. The price jump is too significant for the RS which differentiates through the rims, trim, electric and leather seats. Was hoping to get more toys on the RS such as the digital screen or dual zone. Anyways expect to see plenty of it on our roads soon.

    Apart from hp, Altis still a good deal as a family car because the premium variant cheaper by 10K although it is a CBU, comfortable for long distance especially the rear and got wireless charger and rear window sunshade.

    • @timhean
      @timhean 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not as pretty though. Don't get me wrong, I love my Altis, I'm an Altis driver myself ( the older one) but it is only fair to compare the top spec Altis to the mid spec model of the Civic. The civic is longer, more horsepower, and arguably has a better interior. Not only that, it also has a bigger bootspace and a noticeable spacier interior. Only thing I don't think we are getting in the Malaysian variant is the Bose sound system. Overall, I think the higher asking price for the Civic is justified. Way better priced compare to Mazda 3.

    Probably an unpopular opinion.
    Why the need to 'look' like a continental car? If people like continental cars they should go for it (BMW, Merc, etc.) Why not maintain the JDM 'look'?
    Previous Civic generations have their unique identity/look where at a first glance I can immediately recognize them. The FE tho, I'll need to look probably a second time or few more times to not mistaken it with an Accord or other continental cars.
    But this is just my personal opinion.

    • @jisenglum4365

      It's really screwed up, notice that temperature gauge is omitted as well while other overseas market have it (like this, better to omit fuel gauge as well, as long they are selling 'H' brand). Nowadays, most Malaysian carbuyers already looking for features that can give most worth product especially with RM100k - RM150k rather than worshipping particular brand anymore - now Toyota already reclaim their number 1 position for non-national segment as new Toyota no longer being stingy on equipment anymore, even Mazda with their CX-5 already catching up.

    Frankly speaking, I always had a problem with the FC design with so many blind spots due to the swooping bonnet design. Parking was difficult and always scrapped the bumpers on the curb. The driver seat adjustment doesn’t go that high so we cannot have a higher view while parking. Had to install aftermarket front camera to avoid bumping on curbs.New model seems to have sleeker bonnet and visibility will be good.From design perspective, I have been seeing since FD, Honda always seem to launch one damn good looking model, then followed by lousy looking model, then comes a good looking one later.. not sure why this practise though.

      Agreed with the fc blind spots but eventually you’ll get used to it

      It's similar to FC, a low riding car. With the longer bonnet line, I don't think visibility improves that much. I seldom front park since the front sensor often fail to detect lower kerbs. However the multi angle rear camera is superb.

      I drive a 2002 corolla no rear view camera, just a beeping parking sensor. Can't wait for this upgrade soon. I also drive my sister's 2015 Almera, and I feel you with the blind spots, it's aids. Glad that the new Civic thin out the A pillar and C pillar.
