Haven't watched one of your vids for a while. Frame trap w/3 lights vs mash sounds good. Neutral jump, parry>DR, or DI/jump (when possible) for zoner. Far-reaching normal, AA or air to air vs turtle. And DI or maybe lv1 vs rushdown. No DP for my main, but maybe OD move, unless it doesn't work. Good vid.
Great video! The most interesting part to me was the mid screen turtle segment. Auto-timed delayed button techniques are new to me. Going to be practicing all these approaches. Thanks!
Great video! Most frustrating for me are what I call the bulldog turtles who run away and hide and jump back until they get a knock down or get you in the corner, when they suddenly find their courage. This is a very obnoxious play style bc it’s turtling mixed w opportunistic aggressive attacks when there’s little danger to the turtler.
Yeah it can be a challenege for sure. Turtles take patience, when you get annoyed things go south. Rush down requires match up knowledge; you gotta watch the replay and lab what gets you hit. I showed some kimberly stuff..even if you DI the run and it works, you need to know how they juggle since shes airborne. Stuff like that takes work and time unfortunately
@@iZonkGaming2021 that’s probably why I can’t beat cammy, bison, or Ken. I don’t watch the replays on them and every time I fight a guile I get annoyed easily so I’ll work on it. Great video by the way keep going

This is a great idea for a video! Thank you for breaking this down! This may be more of a general question, but, just curious, is Perfect Parry a tool that can be used to discourage mashing?
Yup, well, its a good option to use sometimes after you are -3. So for instance..after a button into light hashogeki Ryu is -3. You could guess that they will press a light and parry, that will then get you the perfect parry. If they throw, it hurts. If they shimmy, they will see you turn blue and can still walk up and throw you. So it works against mashers best yup
What rank are you? You could try to walk in range and out, to whiff punish the pokes..or walk into cross up jump range. Imo the only characters who are really good at mid screen turtling are Guile and Deejay because they have a fully invul reversal thats locked behind a charge move. Since they sit and hold down back, they have their charge. They do have a deadzone in their cross up jump in range, try it!
If you cant beat em,join em. I had the same problem till I stated playing them myself. It'll help you understand why they do certain actions and more importantly, when.

Thats more of a character archetype than a player style (so is zoning but grappler even more). Maybe I’ll do a video about beating grapplers
