Excellent mechcanic skills,bro...... Your lancer will work more 20 years with such a great maintenance condition. All parts are new NOW 🇯🇵🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥 Great hardworking person
Hey, great video. I'm an auto mechanic and can appreciate the effort. One thing though, remember to check transmission fluid while the engine is running. You won't get an accurate reading with the car off.
Wow! That ring was a nightmare! I tried your method all morning, and could not do it. I finally hammered the clip into the top groove, c-clamped a piece of wood over about 1/3 of the clip with the notched ends exposed.Tapped one end into the groove; tapped the other end, and it went in like a magic trick. Your video showed me that it could be done. I lost how many times that clip sprang out like a rocket. After all this, the same noise is coming out of the drivers side. I replaced a good wheel bearing.
Correct, same thumping noise from that side. I'll just drive it until whatever it is gets looser, and I can find it. Good Lord, I got to find a tool for that clip! I don't want do that again.
I really love all your videos about mirage and specially lancer cause I have lancer 02 please upgrade more videos for your lancer fans pleaseee. Thanksss
Sergey Pronin Oh no, I don't, but you should replace the whole alternator. Or easy fix is to tighten up the belt and see if it will stop making noise..
Good video thx for the share! So after connecting the McPherson back to the spindle, were the bolts able to line back up pretty easily for correct camber?
es primera ves que veo estos videos yo también tengo un lancer 2002 soy de panamá y me ahn ayudado muchísimo ya que nesecito saber todo lo relacionado sobre estoy lancer exelente explicación sobre la mecánica aunque no se ingles solo español
You're suppose to check the transmission fluid with the car in neutral and running. You overfilled the transmission, which could cause issues in the future..
nice video man. i need to ask one thing, these models have the same fr axle. because i have a lancer 1.6 4G18 SOCH 2002 and the fr axle is broken. greetings from chile.
alex ramos Without it, it would be much harder, but it's possible. th-cam.com/video/80MnSpZS-a0/w-d-xo.html Though, I would recommend getting it. I got it from Harbor Freight. Cheers
Dude you can literally make a video of you bullshiting us and I'll still be interested. Something of you makes me enjoy watching your videos thumbs-up :DDDDD
nice job, i wonder were you get money to buy all that stuff because anytime you need something you just buying love to watch you work i have a mirage and i got to much ideas !!!
Hey thanks for the video, I saved so much money! btw I have a mitsubishi lancer 2003 oz rally and everytime I switch gears it jerks really hard, do you know why this is happening?
hey darkdragonwing, what socket did you use the press out the bearing at 3:34 and was it the same socket used to support the bearing while pressing in the hub at 5:49? thanks in advance! Your vids are so helpfull!
first of all love the videos, Now can I give you a few tips ........ " NEVER " spray your brake discs with paint, it contaminates your brake pads, and will cause sqeeking and bad brakes, and always put copper grease on the back of the new pads when installing. And when changing the oil, fill your new oil filter with oil.
+The DarkDragonWing i did a scan for a trouble code and it indicated that it was the sensors, i changed them both, the abs pump and both axles....same problem. Im clueless right now.
my left side axle is clicking on my lancer 2003 GLX .... i think it's bad. i cannot get the part number on it. where can i get the whole axle assembly? and if i cannot source it should i rebuild it?
lee22she Here it is www.ebay.com/itm/CV-Axle-Shaft-New-Front-Left-SurTrack-MI-8113-fits-02-07-Mitsubishi-Lancer-/261646068983?fits=Year%3A2003|Model%3ALancer|Submodel%3AES&hash=item3ceb522cf7&vxp=mtr
+lee22she the noise i was hearing was from my transmission( it's a CVT), while changing the axle i got pieces of metal in the fluid that came out from the gear box. i convert my car from cvt to manual and it drives really good
i think u should check the ATF while the car is ON! put the gear to N not P because when its P the oil will be at the bottom (which is lower than it supposed to be) , no?
+jone cena Take it to the mechanic to fix gear leak. You need to get your front wheels balanced. You might also want to check the tie-rods: th-cam.com/video/zPLwHQmKxTc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/jlYT7OB0ebg/w-d-xo.html
jone cena Ok, at this point you will have to make sure everything feels tight, from rotors, brake pads, tie-rods, to front lower control arms. The most difficult part to replace would be the front bearings. Jack the car up and sake the wheel to check it. Here is how: th-cam.com/video/NBb3ucb3bTQ/w-d-xo.html
THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO IM FROM BAYAMON, PUERTO RICO IT REALY SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME TO THE MECHANIC I HAVE A MITSUBISHI LANCER ES 2006 AND IM WAITING FOR A TIE ROD END GRACIAS UN MONTON
Yo dude I have the same problem but with my OZ rally 04 I need help fixing it I did brakes, barings I'm going to do the CV axle I need an opinion or some advice
I think it's the steering rods my shop said the whole steering needs to be replaced. I haven't done steering rods before it's going to be my first time any advice on how I should do it
Sorry to reply here, but not able to post like usual on TH-cam,,,,,how did you get the retaining ring back in? I have my Lancer torn down and can't get the ring on. I hammered the old one out like you did. I've spent hours, and tried 4 different retaining ring pliers. I can't get the new ring in. How did you do that?
tim prater Angle it down on one side first, and then use a flat head screw driver to pry it down while pushing/holding it down with a finger, and then use two flat head screw drivers at the same time to pry down even more. Take a look here: th-cam.com/video/HdKiYbj_vy4/w-d-xo.htmlm8s
You buy the whole press for this job? Ur rich lol I think for bearings, should use high temp grease, they name them differently, high temp vs general purpose, for a reason
azn310 :D No no, not rich. Instead of paying the mechanic to do it for me, I save that money and bought the press. haha Yes, I'll keep the high temp grease in mind. cheers

Best way to fill the transmission oil is on level ground with the engine running and the transmission in neutral
this man deserves a medal for hardwork and commitment!
I love how've you condensed... what, like 6+ hours of work over at least two days into a ten minute video? Definitely makes it look easy!
Excellent mechcanic skills,bro......
Your lancer will work more 20 years with such a great maintenance condition. All parts are new NOW 🇯🇵🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥

So patient and humble. Just subbed. Keep the videos coming especially on Mitsubishi lancers. Thanks
Hey, great video. I'm an auto mechanic and can appreciate the effort. One thing though, remember to check transmission fluid while the engine is running. You won't get an accurate reading with the car off.

I replaced a good wheel bearing.
+tim prater yay finally. But it did not fix the problem you were having?
Correct, same thumping noise from that side. I'll just drive it until whatever it is gets looser, and I can find it. Good Lord, I got to find a tool for that clip! I don't want do that again.
tim prater
It could be the strut or tie-rods or the lower control arm joint
Hey what's going on Maki appreciate the info on the O2 sensor that work out
Very informative video. I learned of some new tools I will need to do the job! Thanks!

Thanks, I will do more Lancer for sure. cheers
Hi! Excellent video. You have no videos how to replace the alternator bearings? Because of their whistles belt
Sergey Pronin Oh no, I don't, but you should replace the whole alternator. Or easy fix is to tighten up the belt and see if it will stop making noise..
DarkDragonWing Hola tengo un Mitsubishi Lancer del 2006 y me ala la dirección para un lado como lo puedo arreglar
Good video thx for the share! So after connecting the McPherson back to the spindle, were the bolts able to line back up pretty easily for correct camber?
Joel Bargas Yes. But alignment after this kind of job is recommended.
Good video, informative and well shot. I have a 03 lancer 5 speed.

Hey thanks for the video, I saved so much money! btw I have a mitsubishi lancer 2003 oz rally and everytime I switch gears it jerks really hard, do you know why this is happening?
+Josue De La Pava Is your car manual? It could be that the clutch is bad.
+DarkDragonWing yeah its manual, I got the clutch replaced about 3 months ago?
Josue De La Pava The clutch pump maybe. Maybe you need to bleed it, there might be some air in there,
+DarkDragonWing thank man, ill try that and see how it goes !
hey darkdragonwing, what socket did you use the press out the bearing at 3:34 and was it the same socket used to support the bearing while pressing in the hub at 5:49? thanks in advance! Your vids are so helpfull!

Hellooo From Mexico! I Have a Same Lancer !
Hi, did you change the transmission fluid or you just feel it up when it needs?
Just fill it up when it needs, or you can to a shop and get it changed.

first of all love the videos, Now can I give you a few tips ........ Hi Thx for Your video's it's Really Nice
jone cena CHeers

It's normal. It should go away pretty soon.
Nice work man
oh and what socket size did you use at 2:36 to press out the hub?
Sorry late reply. I would guess it was 22mm
Will a damaged or bad wheel bearing cause the ABS light to come on?
hollow3501 I believe so. But it also depends on your car's ABS, some cars will indicate that something else is wrong, not necessary the bearing.
+The DarkDragonWing i did a scan for a trouble code and it indicated that it was the sensors, i changed them both, the abs pump and both axles....same problem. Im clueless right now.
What car do you have?
+The DarkDragonWing the 2005 lancer, i think its the model after yours
hollow3501
Did you remove the ABS code? Much like the engine light, after I replace my oxygen sensor, I have to remove the engine light/code.
Why did you change your bearings?
ernesto7373 It's not good anymore.
my left side axle is clicking on my lancer 2003 GLX .... i think it's bad. i cannot get the part number on it. where can i get the whole axle assembly? and if i cannot source it should i rebuild it?

my lancer 2002 gear oil leak how to i repair ? and also aft ( Speed 70 ) Car Shakes
I Was Balanced But Little Good Not More Now Aft 100 Shake
