I actually LOVE the rousing YUNGBLUD rendition, especially when it accompanies the eye candy of Gosling's harbour resurrection scene!
American post-it notes stay up quite well over long periods of time, especially on glass. The key is not to curl the note as you peel it off the pad.
The movie is loosely based on the 80's TV show of the same name. Two of show's stars, Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, who played Colt and Jody, respectively, cameo in that mid-credits scene as the cops there to arrest Tom and Gail. The show's theme song "Unknown stuntman" was updated for the movie and plays over the movie's credits. In the show, Lee Majors sings the theme song. The premise of the show differs from the movie in that Colt Seavers in the show was a bounty hunter in his off set time.
The trucks Colt drives in the movie reflect the similar truck models his character drove in the show.
There is a sound cue Easter egg in the movie from another of Lee Major's TV roles. It's the same sound cue that would play just before his character in the "Six Million Dollar Man" TV show leapt into action.
During the initial boat jump stunt, the theme to the "Miami Vice" TV show can be heard.

As a Sydneysider, I can confirm that all location scenes are shot on Sydney city streets, in the Harbour Tunnel, on the Harbour Bridge, and in other local spots. Also, standard issue NSW number plates are yellow and black.
Yep. I remember it being a big deal that they shut down the Harbour Bridge for filming. I even remember the light rail being shut down for a scene that got cut from the movie, and there was this Reddit post concerned about an explosion on Sydney Harbour, only for it to be confirmed as being part of filming.
The truck he drives is like the one from the 1980s TV seriers "The Fall Guy" with Lee Majors, the "6 million dollar man" There is a post-it not in front of me on my desk that has been up there for 5 years, so they do stick. Gail is protecting herself because she is the producer. Gail already had a copy, but they had to make sure all of the others were destroyed.

So many references in this, almost in every scene, from titles to stunts to specific scenes.

I loved this movie, I’m so glad there’s reactions of it.
I love that the concept of the TV show wasn't explored in the movie. It makes it possible that Colt can still become a bounty hunter of sorts if this ever gets greenlit for a sequel. I would watch 8 tons of crap out of that movie!
Seriously. This is one of the rare movies where I walked out and told my wife that I wanted to see it again.

You should check out 'Motherless Brooklyn' and 'The Outfit' as well. 2 amazing movies that didn't get their due spotlight while in theaters.
Frustratingly, The Fall Guy movie is still not available on VOD after its 6th weekend here in Australia, despite the fact that it opened a week earlier here than in the USA and UK. Although we can now pre-order, we don't have a release date.

Anyone watching this movie, or planning on watching it again, give yourself a quick familiarity with Miami Vice and it's theme song. It'll make it more fun for you. Plus, it was a kick ass show with a kick ass theme song. Enjoy!
Oh. I got the reference all right. That synth storm when Colt was doing his old Miami Vice stunt? Instant gold. And I'm not even from the 80s.
