This thing is an absolute beast!
Info for people who haven't played the game and would like context:
The big face plate is essentially armor plating made out of "the strongest stuff in the universe" (that's all the game says 😅) and it moves out of the way to allow for the spike to extend. The spike stabs into captured specimens and extracts DNA samples. Whenever the EMMI catches Samus in the game there are two opportunities to do a melee counter to escape, but the timing is essentially random, making it almost a guaranteed death. There are 7 in the game, and they all have different colors. I was tempted to order 7, but ultimately decided against it

Just to add some in-game context, EMMI's weakpoint is its head. The extra faceplate is the armor to protect the weakpoint. Figma Samus comes with an extra accessory, the Omega Cannon, and is the only thing in the game that can break through EMMI's face armor.

Metroid is one of my absolute favorite series.Ive unfortunately only played a demo of Metroid Dread & ive gotta say "Dread" describes the feeling perfectly. Im gonna end up getting a Nintendo Switch 4 this game alone! Im very picky about Metroid/Samus figures but i gotta say EMMI is a Dreadfully gorgeous figure!

These Metroid figma figures are works of art, about as good as action figures get. They look straight out of the game and have great articulation

I don't know if you found this out yet but you can remove the legs and attach them backwards to get EMMI into a crawling position.

Looks great but desperately needs weathering.. some oil splatter and paint rubs would go a long way with this. The engineering is awesome though!

The lack of weathering is true to the game -- the zones the E.M.M.I.s are encountered in are going for a sterile horror type of encounter, so the pristine look is accurate. Whether you like it or not is preference and fair, but they definitely nailed what they were going for!
