Yay, Alwyn! Conquering DC is a challenge for anyone! At the age of 18, I decided out of the blue, that I wanted to visit our national capital. Got in my little red Toyota (this was in 1970 when Toyota was a brand-new company in this country) and drive alone from Oklahoma all the way to the Capital city. I think I had less than $200 dollars on me and no credit cards. But God looks after fools and children. I'll never regret having made that trip. I made it all the way up there and visited all the national highlights: The Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and I got to take a tour that included observing a meeting of Congress in session. I'm over 70 now and never had another opportunity to visit Washington DC. Looking back, I'm glad I made that journey, it was an adventure to be sure, but some special Grace must have covered me. There were no negative consequences for me. That is one experience I gave myself that I have no regrets for. If I were to try to do it again today, I seriously doubt that it would have turned out so well for me.

Alwyn, what an exciting opportunity! Yes, we are in the thick of summer here in the US. Hazey, hot and humid. The rain is due to Hurricane Debby moving up the East Coast from Florida. In the US, it is mandatory to have wheel chair accessible bathrooms, parking, rooms, sidewalks, etc.
So good to have you here! I live an hour away. You just graced us and made us better. PS….my favorites are the Lincoln Memorial, and the Smithsonian, specially the art museums. 😍🤩 PS…..looking to see what YOU are interested in!

One of my favorite places to go was The Museum Of Natural History in NYC this brought back memories. My pastor and elders went to DC for a prayer trip about 12 years ago. They seemed so stressed. Lots of warfare and resistance. Apparently you can not hold hands and pray in lots of places. I really hope you enjoy and the Lord keeps you safe! Im from America and don't want to travel to DC lol
