I thought he was rushed but a character that is an absolute lawful good wouldn’t break any issue for absolutely defending his planet he can’t count on anyone due to trauma and literally needs to be the strongest or so he feels. A lot of these what-ifs make the character who is changed in the what-if the main character, but this one keeps Goku as the main character while also making Jiren an important person. I like that.
10 minutes in and this story is basically "What if the galactic patrol actually did their jobs and weren't little more than the mall cops of the galaxy?"

Only thing said was that belmod created the pride troopers, nothing was said about being on the same team as hiren at the same time. Only that they have that in common, and since belmod still keeps any eye out and in touch with the current team he therfore met Jiren and took him under his wing (more so Toppo). We have no clue his age, with being mortal we haven't met any mortal race capable of living that long without becoming a GOD and gaining immortality until they retire.

I know this might sound like a out of the ordinary and weird But I was thinking that maybe you could do what if Invincible’s universe was the same as Dbz(Like both characters live on Earth) Or even what if Viltrumites existed in the Dbz I would like to picture it when it starts at in the Saiyan saga where Vegeta and Nappa arrive on Earth Nolan is still here and does have Mark but very young(Same age as Gohan) Nappa is killed,Vegeta escapes and Nolan is knocked out unconscious So in Goku fashion he spares Nolan and heals him up I would say Nolan does have some basic knowledge of Saiyans since he traveled the galaxy before he came so he’s surprised when Goku spares him So he tells Goku about his race,his mission and warns him about the threat of more viltrumites coming to Earth Goku asks him about how long till the viltrumites get there And for the plot I would say that the Viltrumites would arrive about after Gohan,Vegeta,Bulma,Piccolo and the Namakians are teleported back to Earth So Goku and Nolan head to Namek training and both grow pretty strong since Viltrumite and Saiyan DNA are pretty similar Nothing really changes until Goku turns super Saiyan and fighting Freiza Instead of going with Gohan back to the ship,Nolan stays and fights alongside Goku Since Nolan can get hella brutal,it’s safe to say that Nolan kills a weakene Frieza So Goku and Nolan escape the destruction of Namek and both land on Yardrat I would like to add more but this comment is getting pretty long so I’ll leave it up to there

There is still one HUGE lingering thread. #18 is still alive and Cell is still around and that also means the computer has been collecting data on Jiren and recent developments on Earth. Think about it, Cell is hatched and after learning that #18 is still alive, absorbs her to become semi-perfect then using the dragonballs he revives #17 just to immediately absorb him thus reaching his perfect form and since he's been enhanced with new DNA and data he's likely to be a much bigger threat to Jiren.
1:53:30 it’s kind of sad that plot point was forced to be abandoned. I actually liked the conspiracy angle that was about to start. Ironically if that chapter of the manga didn’t happen it could have been used to end super and lead to GT if the writers chose that. Imagine Vegeta being disgusted that Beerus ordered Frieza to do that. He could have ended up rejecting their mentors all together and possibly convincing Goku which would eventually lead them to find a different source of power for future threats which would ultimately lead to super sayin 4. Obviously that didn’t happen but it could have been possible

Think about it, Cell is hatched and after learning that #18 is still alive, absorbs her to become semi-perfect then using the dragonballs he revives #17 just to immediately absorb him thus reaching his perfect form and since he's been enhanced with new DNA and data he's likely to be a much bigger threat to Jiren.

1:53:30 it’s kind of sad that plot point was forced to be abandoned. I actually liked the conspiracy angle that was about to start. Ironically if that chapter of the manga didn’t happen it could have been used to end super and lead to GT if the writers chose that. Imagine Vegeta being disgusted that Beerus ordered Frieza to do that. He could have ended up rejecting their mentors all together and possibly convincing Goku which would eventually lead them to find a different source of power for future threats which would ultimately lead to super sayin 4. Obviously that didn’t happen but it could have been possible
When I said that I didn’t mean all together abandoned I mean Vegeta and Goku could have joined in on it then just Jiren
