So, this guy was a regular at the bar i work at, came in all the time and would often always tip quite a lot. usually around 2k. He came in the day he threw out the 200k on i-5 and tipped us 10k and seemed fairly normal, nothing weird. of course we were extremely greatful, and he told us that he and his family run a charity organization and wanted to give back to the people as they've helped him a lot. I come in the next day and see that he threw 200k onto i-5 and my coworkers and i were shocked. but we have heard 3 different stories. The first coming from Colin himself, it was his money that he made in a shared family account, that he had access to, and really just felt like giving back to people. The second being, he stole the money from his family account, and was on things (which again, he didnt seem to be on anything when he came in, acted completely normal like always) and the third being stole money and threw it so that he would be out of money when the child support people came to collect on debts he owes. Another thing is, he also went to like 7 or so other bars in town and tipped around 3k to each. he definitely could have done a better way of giving it out, but it wasnt just to the streets, he did indeed go to many locations and tipped a lot.

People need to understand that throwing money onto an interstate with cars going 60 miles an hour could cause a pile up. People seeing that money is going to cause them to slam on the breaks and parking on the shoulder and over time it could cause an accident and like the domino effect a massive pile on would happen. I am surprised and happy no one got hurt because of this

So I have a theory and I haven't seen anyone else say it, so maybe I'm an idiot and missing something, but: My guess as to what happened here is that he believed his wife was going to file for divorce and didn't want to pay alimony, so he thought "can't pay her half of our savings if I throw it all away first!" and took off down the highway with their life savings. Could also be a combination of the above with the "only threw out a small portion and kept the rest" if he was smart, but who knows.
The second being, he stole the money from his family account, and was on things (which again, he didnt seem to be on anything when he came in, acted completely normal like always)
and the third being stole money and threw it so that he would be out of money when the child support people came to collect on debts he owes.
Another thing is, he also went to like 7 or so other bars in town and tipped around 3k to each. he definitely could have done a better way of giving it out, but it wasnt just to the streets, he did indeed go to many locations and tipped a lot.
massive cap story
@Darrenyeaman okay, if you think so. I am just some random dude on the internet afterall who literally has nothing to gain from lying.
But if you come to oregon, go to pint pot, rennies, Pegasus, Star Light lounge, Max's tavern, level up arcade, and a few of the other bars here and ask them about it.
Damn Charlie, get some rest man and get well soon.
Ok
@Don't Read My Profile Photo oh no idid 😥😮😰🥱😥🫡😊
Cum cummy cummer
Charlie’s a pimp
Pimps don’t need rest
Get well soon bro
Usually a sore throat can stick around.
Still to this day in Eugene there's people on I-5 looking for money. I live in the area and there's constant news about it from my family.
1) make plan with family to throw out 10,000 and they act ignorant to it.
2) claim it was 200,000 (he pockets the 190,000 or whatever the amount and brings it back to the family)
3) becomes a news story as it obviously would
4) family garners sympathy and starts a go fund me.
5) go fund me reaches over 200,000
6) family now has 390,000
So maybe it was the “best plan ever”
"Now they think I'm an idiot that throws aways money. All according to plan" *twirls moustache*
dude seems to have the same mindset as family annihilators, he just stopped right before the "kill your whole family" step
What kind of scumbag steals money from THEIR OWN FAMILY?!?!?! He needs to go to jail for a LONG time!
people with a serious mental illness called Bi-polar manic disorder. he didnt steal it from his family, it was his money too lol. im not defending the behavior but the whole situation SCREAMS of a manic episode and your first thought is "LOCK HIM UP".
need to lock mfers like you up for not having empathy towards others. the man didnt kill anybody.
I wonder why he was trusted to have access to the account
Charlie commented on my video im literally crying 😭
If his name was on the account he will face no legal repercussions due to theft. According to the law it was his money. However there could be a strong case that he was destroying currency which is a federal crime and whatever charges they can come up with for endangering people on the highway.
theres alot of scumbags whod do that
He's probably going through a divorce or some shit and threw out like 10k to keep the 190k from his wife out of spite.
Reminds me of that one scene from breaking bad where Jesse is throwing millions in the street at night
If you're going to throw away your money, might as well make it fun. He should've bought a ton of silver and gold and gave people a treasure hunt
cue the comical cavalcade of motor vehicles on their way to find said treasure
Saw this on the local news after it happened. Got a huge laugh out of it initially but I feel horrible for the guy’s family
It sounds like he had a psychosis episode or something
This man wants us to find this money like BOTW searching for 900 Korok seeds
That would never work for me. If I drained my bank account and threw it on the interstate it would come to about $14.50 😥
Why you holding out on us, Moneybags?
@@drunkenhobo5039 I wish. lol.
I hope the family is able to recoup their money
u saved me from boredom during work, thank you charlie
Ok
Don't care read my name LOL I'm better than penguinz0 . . . M
Michael This is your boss are you watching Charles during your shift?
Man really tried to become Jesse Pinkman
Don't care read my name LOL I'm better than penguinz0 . .. .
Ok
LMAO
I like the weird snare hit at the beginning
Charlies current voice will be used in so many thirst traps
It's funny because his voice in his videos from 2010 sounded deeper lol
@@Arbaz3102 yea back then he was forcing a deeper voice but this sounds genuine since he’s actually just sick
Gonna show this to my parents so I can look good in contrast.
People need to understand that throwing money onto an interstate with cars going 60 miles an hour could cause a pile up. People seeing that money is going to cause them to slam on the breaks and parking on the shoulder and over time it could cause an accident and like the domino effect a massive pile on would happen. I am surprised and happy no one got hurt because of this
If this guy was in my family I would be catching a life sentence lol
I wouldn't go that far lol, I would've just cast him out and force him to change every single aspect of his identity and move to another part of the country or world and never acknowledged him ever again
If he was in your family your family would blame you? Is your family not too bright?
Then do you really love your family? All you have to do is make a sob story video, praise jesus, and sit back as the gofundme surpasses the goal.
@100gecsRbetterthanGOD it was a joke but you could say the same thing about the guy that fuked his family
Bro thinks he is Jesse Pinkman 💀💀💀
the worst way would be dropping 200k in pennies from the sky
ah yes, because when i want to give money back to the people, my first thought is always to toss cash out a car window rather than donating to any endless number of charities. wishing the best for his family.
You have to respect a dude who will still post videos with a shredded voice. Much love to the most moist. Feel better 💚
Happened in my town crazy how much it blew up
My parents told me that I'm throwing money out the window, but he took it seriously
Fun fact:Bipolar disoders can lead to impulsive behaviors like overspending or overly giving out your money.
Fun fact: American medicinal field tends to create the problem to sell you a solution. Now everyone can be their own victim and spend thousands of 4 separate types of depression medication. Now everyone is autistic with some need to pop pills.
As someone who has bi pola..
That actually clicks with me!
Like I give away shit all the time as cheap as I can or just get rid of it if I feel I don't need it.
I just feel like if I don't want something anymore I just get rid of it.
I didn't know it was a bi pola thing.
when you're manic, yeah. but what does bipolar disorder have to do with this?
@@violetvalentine999
It's one of the causes for things like these or a mental breakdown.
So I have a theory and I haven't seen anyone else say it, so maybe I'm an idiot and missing something, but:
My guess as to what happened here is that he believed his wife was going to file for divorce and didn't want to pay alimony, so he thought "can't pay her half of our savings if I throw it all away first!" and took off down the highway with their life savings.
Could also be a combination of the above with the "only threw out a small portion and kept the rest" if he was smart, but who knows. Things like these are usually driven by emotion, not mastermind scheming.
Glad to see Charlie recovering but I already miss his voice cracks.
(not to bear any ill will towards Charlie, it was just really funny)
Ok
Charlie commented on my video im literally crying 😭
Ok
@@Laughisty please go outside.
This was huge when it happened here and all I could think of was wow we literally have so many better things to give funding to and yes MANY pedestrians have passed on our highways and interstates - several times a year.
Imaging picking up 1800 cash and reporting it to the police 💀💀
wilder still is how he got to the point he had $200k to speak of...but it was just sitting in a bank account.
I would've expected that money to be tied up in investments.
This man's detachment from material possessions is outstanding.
He wasn't being generous. As others have stated, I think it's pretty obvious he did this to punish his family. Or it some scheme to attempt to steal it himself but make everyone think he doesn't actually have it. Either way, he didn't do it out of the goodness of his heart lol
I'm picturing a line of cars driving 15mph on the highway looking for bills on the side of the road
As an Oregon resident I have only one question:
Where did he throw it
I’d say a lot of people that picked up the money weren’t telling the truth about how much they actually picked up 😂
This is definitely some in-fighting in the family drama.
Wildest part of this video is finding out Machinima still exists.
I feel bad for his wife and kids. That was their college fund their mortgage money everything this family might wind up with a foreclosure and repossession issue because of this
This sounds more like a manic bipolar episode than a malicious greedy act. I'm betting he went off is meds and felt like a god giving his money away.
A person called the local dispatch I heard and said they found a big chuck, the caller asked dispatch what they should do and dispatch replied with “keep it” 💀 I heard this story this morning over the radio.
This is literally a Breaking Bad moment
Has Nobody made the Breaking Bad connection? That 200 grand was from his family doing something deplorable. He slowly fell into a shell of himself, filled with nothing but remorse and regret. Someone needs to talk to him, im guessing hes on a merry-go round in some park.
I’m convinced that Charlie is changing his skill points. He’s leveling up his skills in basketball, while losing levels in speech
He’s respecing
@@YGOgamer117 That's the word I was looking for ty
Some people are so dumb with money. Love your content Charlie
Haha
This just feels like an insane and public display of financial abuse.
Years ago grandparents left me and my sister a comfortable fortune and parents spent it all on drugs. Now the rest of our extended family won't speak with us.
I have similar story tbh I feel a little better reading the comments and seeing how common this is
This guy saw Akiyama's back story and thought "Damn, that's neat"
Why
I read this so many times and finally just understood what you meant
Bro seriously wanted to live out his Breaking Bad Jesse Pinkman fantasy.
The only worst way I can think of giving someone money is by converting it to gold putting it into a pillow case then sneaking into their home and hitting it over their head when they get home from work.
he just helped slow down inflation, a true hero indeed
5:17 is that chuck McGill?
I hope you get better man
