Nice review guys. I've only had a bottle of the standard AD release and remember enjoying it...peat...mineralic. Hopefully your enjoying a dram to celebrate Ben Johnson day at Hallas Hall today...lol.

Got to try one of their expressions in Scotland and it definitely shows potential but yeah it’s very much a showcase for the distillate.

I appreciate your thoughts on this one - I have had a number of Ardnamurchan and this one is one of the better examples (along with the Ardnamerica tour bottles). I agree that their sherried bottlings are preferable (to me anyway) but some people love the Champagne cask finished ones. They’re young but I am optimistic about the future there. Cheers!

I preferred the ‘23 version to last year’s. Both are still good though.

Great review. Ardnamurchan released a USA only ArdnAmerica in 2023 57.8 ABV with a similar cask make up. It was a banger and backup worthy. Dustin, an update on the Springbank 10 would be great since the SB10 is "somewhat" available in the USA. The batch variation makes it fun and it would be great to get your take on the recent batches - 2023 & 2024. I believe your last review of the SB 10 was a 2021 and you were lukewarm on it. Mike was may have been less than lukewarm on it and not a big fan of any of the SB10s. Hopefully recent SB10 batches have improved. Cheers.

If memory serves me correct, age on this is 5 and 6 yo casks via website. I enjoyed this enough to grab a backup. The white label 1st release.

I'm a try before buy on all of these boom era distillers. AD, Lochlea, Lindores, Lakes, etc etc. Theyre all just too youthful to me. I havent had one yet where i needed to buy the bottle.

Like Dustin´s comment. Good whisky but too overhyped.
