This is my family, Mike (Joel Sr.) & Lisa Guy, they were truly amazing people, my Uncle and Aunt. My dad and Mike were brothers, unfortunately my dad passed away in February 2001 from a terminal illness. This has really taken a toll on my family, so tragic and shocking. Joel Michael Jr doesn't deserve his father's name, he deserves to be in prison for the rest of his life!!!

I was on jury duty recently on a very large drug bust and the judge was wonderfully personable, was even open to the jury asking her questions directly if we needed clarification, it was great. Eased any nerves or tension and made it much easier to concentrate on what was going on in the room.

So his mom spends her last hours in Walmart buying food to feed her only son that she supported all his life. She lugged all those bags home on her own and actually had to face at some point the horrifying realisation that her boy was stabbing here to death. I’ve been watching true crime and criminal trials for a long time and this one is a truly horrific crime. The way he treated their bodies all so he didn’t have to get a job?! And now the state will have to use tax dollars to feed and house him until the day his utterly pathetic life ends.

I think they do that because it's a good excuse to look down. Think of when you're embarrassed or don't want your face to tell any emotions...you look down, since you know you're being watched. They think that if their heads are down, you can't tell their emotions towards what's being discussed, since you can't see their face. Thats what makes me always think/know they are guilty. If they were innocent, they wouldn't need to hide their faces so much

Those poor siblings clearly loved both their step mother and their father too. He murdered both then sits in front of his siblings with a Holier Than Thou smirk on his piggish little face. Whomever suggested the clear visor over a mask didn’t like him much because it has revealed a LOT about him and how superior he feels to everyone in that room. He wrote a letter to the Tennessee Department of Corrections stating that he was having fantasy about gouging out his cell mates eyes. He said that since there’s a no-sharps restriction he has to use his fingers but that won’t deter him. He then states that he doesn’t logically believe that his cell mate deserves to be blind and asks them to stop him from acting on these fantasies, and says “I shouldn’t be allowed around another person while they’re unconscious”. He said that he doesn’t want more criminal charges brought against him or end up with a disciplinary infraction. I just found this interesting information and thought I would share. This is another attempt to once again isolate himself. His first attempt was trying to get the death penalty, because you’re in a solitary cell on death row. When that didn’t work, he wrote this letter in hopes they’ll takes his letter seriously and move him to solitary confinement.

Then when the defense had a chance to ask questions.. That was the first question they asked.. @mashakalinkina7207 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Oh nice catch! I didn’t catch that!! I believe it’s also standard practice in forensic pathology, autopsies, various medical interventions etc.. You can contaminate one without worrying about contaminating your skin, easy to just change the outside pair, no contamination, no need to wash & dry you skin each time, no sweat. :)
I just love that she paid such mindful attention to it In Court. Some of the folks seemed a bit sloppy touching all sorts of evidence then touching their faces/hair/surfaces without seemingly realizing it. And I dont really blame ‘em! You’re in a stressful environment on a timeline being questioned. It could slip your mind & feel weird to take the time to deglove & reglove each time as you would in the lab.
The ladies really stood out head & shoulders above how amazing they were, cool, calm, collected, but also 100% dedicated to being safe & maintaining proper procedure. 😊

I’m a Registered Nurse...I totally get what she’s saying about trying to re-glove when you have sweaty hands. It’s extremely difficult to do so properly. When having to clean especially soiled things in the hospital, it’s totally normal to double glove in order to protect yourself and the patient and it also saves time.
