He may not understand why we, as a sane society react so shockingly to what he has done. The evil he carried out on his parents wasn't enough, he chose to have it all shown in a courtroom, so he could get more attention. His feelings of being entitled are also obvious. His lack of empathy helped get him caught. He can't put himself in another's shoes, like the co-worker who called LE about his mother Lisa, who didn't show for work. The death sentence, he asked to be imposed by the Judge in this case, was another attention-seeking moment for him. Yet, even while the case was going on, he never once decided to plea guilty for the sake of others impacted by his evil.
BRSO arrested Guy Jr well outside the apartment not incidental to search immediate to the arrest and they did not obtain a search warrant, which made any evidence obtained inadmissible. Leave it to BRSO LA to taint an out of state homicide investigation. Not the first time BRSO screw up and won't be the last. All they had to do was seal the apartment until a search warrant was issued. No doubt TN DA blew a gasket, the resident FBI agent should have advised them not to enter the apartment w/o a warrant (the agent was present to initiate Guys arrest when he was getting in his vehicle).

However, Joel Guy Jr.s' (state appointed, I believe) lawyer retired well before this trial, we are watching, commenced. That poor man had decided to do this service for free. Why? Because Jr. has been through more than one appointed attorney and hes the only one that 'golden child' killer felt he could work with. That's one of the reasons why this trial has taken so long to come to a court room. Joel Jr. has had more than one attorney given to him and everyone of them there was something "wrong." This retired attorney told the state that he would stay this monsters attorney, without pay, so that this case could finally go to trial and he has worked now four years on this case and wanted to see it come to an end; instead of it being strung out more than it has been already.

However, Joel Guy Jr.s' (state appointed, I believe) lawyer retired well before this trial, we are watching, commenced. That poor man had decided to do this service for free. Why? Because Jr. has been through more than one appointed attorney and hes the only one that 'golden child' killer felt he could work with. That's one of the reasons why this trial has taken so long to come to a court room. Joel Jr. has had more than one attorney given to him and everyone of them there was something "wrong." This retired attorney told the state that he would stay this monsters attorney, without pay, so that this case could finally go to trial and he has worked now four years on this case and wanted to see it come to an end; instead of it being strung out more than it has been already.
