On this playthrough, I believe in the “cleanup phase” you only discard the leftmost card remaining in the market. Then all of the others remaining go to the trash pile.
I am new to the game so I don’t know the implications of trashing the cards rather than discarding them.

smackypaps you are correct. Leftmost is discarded anything left over is trashed.
Very good playthrough, please keep them coming and I also like your originality of other videos of you showing how to combine base games with expansions.
Thanks Barry! I’ve been waiting for the next opportunity to do more of those - seems like exciting expansions have slown down (is “slown” even a word? I know I use it all of the time, but the red underline I see seems to disagree.... my world is rocked.)

Awesome - someone that thinks through all of the options like I do. Meaning, going on brief tangent, forgetting to do a certain something that I told myself not to forget, etc.
And, I like the marking of Attributes you have 'set'. I'm going to start doing that!
Thanks Tony! I am definitely very easily distracted...... and it's also crazy how, for example, a 1 hour video can be filmed over many hours, or even days..... So I'm pretty good at forgetting stuff..... Marking things as often as possible is a must for me.

You bet man! For me it added a new nice decisions (like, to buy things from the market or go hunting a minion.) I always love games with two positive choices like that.

I finally caught up with this video, which was cool. The extra dice did make the last battles easy, but Monster Slayer still seems pretty tough to get -- which you would hope for the top tier.

I need to mark the attributes too! The cube method works. Maybe place it on top of the modifier square instead of on the left? I usually just take notes on my notepad which attributes have been met. Thanks for this playthrough. I just got M&M and this made it 100% easier for me to jump right in.
I love your idea of placing it on top of the modifier square! It's such a tricky thing to track, and I HATE nailing it, then messing it up accidentally later on...
Am I reading the rules incorrectly? The way I understand it, any combat mercenary dice purchased to fight a minion are returned to the supply after the minion fight, right? Or is there another reason I missed that you kept the mercenary dice you bought for future battles? Great play through, by the way. Really helped me walk through my first play with the expansion!
You are 100% right! I don’t know how I missed that final step - but I really appreciate you pointing that out! It would certainly make things tougher on me, as they did feel too easy..... I’ll make sure to annotate that in the Klingon subtitles. Thanks again!

Right?!? Like, with such a bland theme and title I almost passed it up myself. It was only thanks to Tom Vasel's glowing review that hit hit my radar. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Tom Teaches I loved the theme and title from the get-go but it was the whole 'beat your own score' system that turned me off.
Adding the scoring ranks and the monsters and minions is what I think changed my mind.
Just scored 31 in my first game! Thanks to these videos it went a lot smoother than it would have otherwise 😊

Do you have KS exclusive cards or can I expect to see all of these new cards in retail?
Oh..... crap..... I did kickstart.... but have NO CLUE what (if any) cards are exclusive. Like I said, I think the frogkin character sheet is an exclusive, but you may have to look up and see what (if anything) else is an exclusive. Sorry Randolph!
There were actually zero Kickstarter exclusives. The Frogkin board is not part of the expansion, but it's not, strictly speaking, a Kickstarter exclusive either - it's a general promo that is currently available in the BGG Store.

So you get no xp for killing the monster?
If I remember correctly (this is off of the top of my head) you might get XP for killing a minion (depending on the damage you do) and killing the monster gives you victory points (stars).
