    To copy a record's FormID, you can press Ctrl+C when standing on a File Header\FormID row in the right pane. You can use it to copy any row value actually.

    Hi, Elianora!
    First of all thank you for all great mods and tutorials and for being awesome.
    Thanks to this tutorial I could finally fix the small thing that annoyed me more than it should: the lack of craftable curtain rods.
    Maybe it is stupid, but I couldn't stand that curtains are just attached to walls or ceilings, so I took models of curtain rods from pre-war home and made them craftable, just the way you explained here in the video.
    Now I plan on uploading it on Nexus, because I think that there may be more people like me out there.
    But it still needs work: Once a curtain rod is made you have to escape the workshop mode and then turn it on again to scrap it or store it and you can't just move it to another place. I was hoping you can help me to fix this and to find more models for variety. Don't worry if you can't. I'll probably figure it out. And if I won't, well, it's not like Fallout is all about fancy curtain rods, right?

      It's still WIP tho. Curtain rods don't snap. And once you place them, you can't just moce them to another place. You can only store or scrap them.

    Thanks for doing this Eli. I was getting frustrated with merging but I think I see my problem now. I was just removing the masters afterwards from the merge without removing dependencies.

    Hello Elianora,
    First, thank you for so many great additions to the community and for this wonderful video. I have been trying to figure out how to do this and will be trying it myself shortly. I do have 2 questions: if i wanted to pull something from homemaker(say the protectron pod for example), or any mod using script injection, for my own personal mod (like yours in the vid is my ultimate goal) do i have to change anything on the item in any additional way besides what you showed here or will it ignore the script since not there anymore? And what about what menu it will appear in? (say i want it in decorations instead of electric, or vise versa)
    Again thank you for everything and keep it up, without yall wonderful modders we would have nothing to do.

    Took me some time to get it right and erase the master file, but I think I managed to extract some of the Institute furniture from Homemaker properly ! Too many items in Homemaker, bleh.
    That's why I prefer yours, it adds the essential stuff ! Not only that but you also teach us some stuff about the Edit tool.
    Well my level is still "filthy peasant" with FO4Edit, but hey, I guess it's better than before lmao.

      +IRedpunk How did u bypass that problem? I simply can't clean Homemaker.esm from masters :/

      You have to look for anything in each line that could refer to something in the Homemaker mod, could be an icon etc. If you still have the Homemaker as a master file it means there's still a line somewhere that refers back to the Homemaker's stuff.

    Hi Elianora- thanks for the tutorial. i thought id figured it out (thanks to you) and merged some small crafting mods together, copied the needed data so the merge patch wouldn't need the original as masters but in the game, the textures aren't there. to test my merged patch, i uninstalled the original mods in Nexus mod manager. i could build the items but there were invisible. im thinking maybe the mod still needs to be "installed" but the merged .esp will allow you to disable the original mod .esp? is the benefit of this just to have fewer .esp files loading? just for reference, one of hte mods i merged was DD productions 1x1 concrete foundations and like i said, i can build it but its invisible and the picture isn't in hte workshop menu, just a blank place holder with the 1x1 label.

    I am trying to learn how to Patch things into Frost and Horizon, specifically for armor and weaons mods. This kind of explains what I need to do, but do you have any videos that may be more applicable to this? Thank you so much! Loving the Deathbunnies shirt btw.

    Hallo Eli, I'm currently playing around with merging testing methods and so in and I wanted to ask if you have tried Matortheeternals merge plugin script? As far as I see it does the same thing but automatically. Not 100% sure what possible downsides could be... It looks like it's "coping as override" and adds a FormID list tab with the merged FormIDs. Also not sure as to what propose that happens...
    Anywho congrats to the inner circle of the Nvidia contest. Fingers are crossed. And yes, I did up vote you as soon as DD asked my/us to. (also voted for lemons :D)

      I've used the merge plugin script 1.9 for Fallout and it has been working fine so far.

    I know it's a stretch, but I was wondering if you could make a video on the process of making custom armors, or at least a speed run of you whilst you're creating one? I have the programs, but I'm new to it. I'm attempting to create clothing from scratch on Maya/3D Max using the MaleBase as reference. I also am trying to create textures in Photoshop using pre-existing textures from the game... Basically I'm a pleb attempting to contribute to the Nexus but I don't know where to start :P

      +Okayokay Ty I'll see if I can be arsed. I don't like making tutorials on something I'm not good at. I only use 3ds Max to remove parts of vanilla and other people's armour meshes. I don't actually create anything myself, I just recycle assets, and I'm BAD at it.

    nice tutorial! very useful. I did not know the delete key works on list objects like that. :D
    I recently became familiar with Automation Tools for TES5Edit by Mator. specifically its QuickDisplay and QuickChange scripts. combining it with some scripting abilities of notepad++ I can change multiple strings to multiple other strings of hundreds of records in literally a couple of seconds. are you using any tools like that? I was thinking about maybe making a tutorial at some point about that. it certainly made my life much easier. :)

    Eli,I know this is really out of the question but,The Junk Yard,I downloaded Scholar solace and when I walked towards the house,the game keeps crashing,I have the Cutting room floor and I saw on the map that the Iron Tree Mill is next beside(Or Merged,Idk i haven't see it yet)Scholar Solace, I know that you don't work on old mods anymore so could you like give me an insight of what's happening?     Ran into alot of errors, so tried to make a mod with only 1 object from Homemaker. Did as you explained, but when i press "clean masters" nothing happens. Homemaker.esm is still present... ?? o.O
    EDIT: Testet it with your mod, and that worked out fine. Don't know why Homemaker can't be gone from masters.

    Hi Elionora. Love your mods for Fallout, great work! Was wondering if I simply remove the constructible objects that I don't need, does this actually free up space in the crafting menu for other objects that may have previously not showed up, due the size limitation in the build menu? Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer :)

      +Bandwidth Bob Yes. The items linked to the crafting recipes will just persist in the esp, but won't be in use/won't affect your game in anyway. Remove constructible object -> It's gone from crafting menu.

      @@Elianora I sat there and made static objects for almost everything, decorated my workstations, and made a static collection but it will not show in game, only info ive gotten is something to do with refrences?

    wow! thank you so much for this turorial! helps me a lot to get into it :) im still on my first few steps...
    so if i did get it right, if i want to "clean" my workshop menu
    i only need to delete the "constructible object" entry? and thats all? (the dirty way)
    if someone can confirm this would be great, so i would easy be able to delete all those things from alternate settlements and homemaker for example i never use, to get a cleaner workshop menu without scrolling through hundreds of items :)
    any help would be much appreciated!
    p.s.: all your mods look so damn awesome, i think i should buy skyrim just because of your mods :D
    pss: just tested it out and it worked! thank you so much :) only forgot that i cannot scrap my test rugs after i deletet their CO :D but thats the reason we make backups :>

    is there a "easy" way to get the object id, name, or whatever from an ingame item when i stand infront of it? any program or only try&error?

      +finni finn I don't think there is a way to get id's for static items like rugs in game, you can search the console for armours, misc objects, furniture and so on. Static items don't work like that I think.

      could u please explain how exactly this is working?
      i could use exactly this way to cleanup my workshop-menu :)
      only difference i see is you edited the CNAM - Created Object from

      to
      ApparelTypeArmor [KYWD:0004A0A7]
      i could do this too, but i dont want to use this method without understanding what this does, and without knowing if this is all the "magic" :>

      +finni finn The painting disabler alter what the painting recipes create: It's linked to a keyword instead of an actual creatable item, so the recipes don't show up as the game cannot show a keyword in the craft menu. It's pretty harmless even though xEdit gives an error.
