    I drive in dynamic in my Ti sport pretty much all the time. One interesting thing I noticed in advanced efficiency mode, is that you don't feel the turbo kick in at all. In the other modes you can really feel it kick in pretty hard at around 2000 rpm. But in A mode, it is just super sluggish and super linear. Not much fun but definitely great for gas mileage and keeping the car straight in bad weather.

      Good insight Noah, I like comments coming from owners who've put the car through its paced. Yeah I would never use that mode unless its snowing lol.

    Hi Ron! Can you explain better what happens when deactivating the active suspension?

    • @luci2101
      @luci2101 ปีที่แล้ว

      When in dynamic mode, you actually have a stiffer suspension. When you press that button, the suspensions get softer in dymamic

    FYI: I forgot to mention that Advanced Efficiency mode also helps maintain a lower fuel economy.

      *Higher fuel economy

    • @ozgurgurluk5726
      @ozgurgurluk5726 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am driving a Stelvio with 2lt turbo engine for about 5 months. "A" mode is nothing to do with fuel economy in this version. Maybe Quad is different. When you put it in A mode it becomes so unpowerful that you need to press gas pedal so much more just to make it go 5 km/h faster which ends up spending more fuel. I tried all the modes on a flat road on cruise control with the same speed and same gear. Nothing changes with the instant fuel consumption between the modes. What works for me in the name of fuel economy with this car is driving it in manuel and dynamic mode. I can get so much response with so little touch to the pedal and if I shift early it drives in most economical way. But the problem is I don't shift early :) My average fuel consumption is so high. Anyway, I haven't got a chance to drive it in snow but I think A mode only works at that conditions.

    • @RonsRides

    Ron with due respect, Your information is not correct. you CAN put the car into RACE mode if its cold. you have to HOLD the dial for one second before it turns and the rumble turns aggressive. My car is parked in garage so the car sounds freaking awesome when its cold and revs. I do it everyday so i know :)

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahh you can??? Do you know why you have to hold the dial like that when going into race mode on cold start? Thanks for telling me this!

    Hey Ron, good video - Advance Efficiency doesn't have anything to do with snow or winter weather but mainly running in "green" fuel saving mode. For the Quad In "A" mode it runs in 4 cylinder instead of 6 cylinder, cuts the turbo and it engages the auto stop mode, which shuts off the car at stop lights or stopped in traffic. Basically for fuel efficiency so living in Florida (which I do as well) it will save you fuel. Again great video though. Love my Alfa Giulia best car I've ever owned :)

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @nikkikofkin2153
      @nikkikofkin2153 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually Alfa Romeo advertised “A” mode in one of their videos as being good for driving in rain, ice, and snow. I drove today in very snowy and slippery conditions, and “A” mode responded absolutely better than the other modes.

    • @-Diceman
      @-Diceman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is certainly better for driving in weather, just inherently. An eco mode means lower throttle response and lower rpm before shifting, therefore it is harder to break traction. As far as I understand, A mode also has increased traction control compared to other modes, making it better for driving in weather on top of its fuel saving benefits.

      Rons Rides ,when are we suppose to use it ????

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ICE mode helps in low traction conditions, you typically start out in 2nd gear instead of first which helps keep wheel spin down.

    • @phaedoncouniniotis2183
      @phaedoncouniniotis2183 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think you got it wrong on the A in d.n.a. That mode is for fuel economy isn't it?

    • @RonsRides
      @RonsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That is also correct, think I just forgot to say that it helps improve fuel economy but that its not the only thing that mode does. Heres a quote I found, "Natural mode which provides standard responses from both the engine and transmission, allowing for a much more balanced drive. Advanced Efficiency not only provides assistance in low-grip conditions, but for vehicles equipped with a V6 under the hood, the fuel efficient option allows for automatic deactivation of engine cylinders to improve fuel economy."

    what the reliability issues that everyone keeps saying this car has?

  • @SR1Records
    @SR1Records 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For the Guilietta, A stands for All Weather... Why would you think that it stands for "Advanced Efficiency"? Also, the Owner's manual says that A is All Weather...
    And here's the proof;
    Put your Alfa Romeo Guilietta in D and your dash will flash up "Dynamic Mode".
    Put it in N and it will flash up "Natural Mode".
    Put it in A and it will flash up "All Weather Mode".
    God only knows why/how you think A stands for Advanced Efficiency mode, lol. Who told you that? lol.
