Bo Winninger turned pro when he was 31 and and quit playing full time on the PGA the tour in 1960 after losing in a playoff in Dallas, but still won tournaments playing part time, he was was 41 years old when this was shot. He was a great ball striker and still one of the longest players in golf, he must of been even longer in his younger years. Sadly Bo had a stroke that paralyzed his right side and he died 10 days later in 1967 only 3 years after this match at age 45
Back then an average drive on the PGA Tour was about 235-240, but here they are playing in Palm Springs where the ball goes much further than the average place.
I caddied for Bo Winninger in the 1963 and 1964 Insurance City Opens
thats amazing, golf back them was so innocent and pure
@@commonsense2156 so was banking and politics. I will say they dressed nicely and I liked all these guys :)

I’m sure Beau won a lot of bets in Las Vegas.
omg Bo's second shot on the first hole was amazing who is this guy?
Hole 3 - Par 4, 445 yards. A good drive left a long iron to a well guarded green. It would be driver and stick a wedge now... Though not for me.

Bo died young.
