    Thank you so much for all the wonderful knowledge and tips you share. Before watching this video, it never crossed my mind on how to bring back soiled clothes. But I know now 😊

    Thank you for sharing. I had no idea I could be so specific with the daycare. I only have one baby. He's 2 and cannot move up to the next classroom until he is fully potty trained.

      Yes, I'm seeing daycares have the coolest apps these days that provide so much peace of mind to parents and better communication. I love it. I hope your girls have a fun first day!

    Hi youre great. Thanks for doing these videos. When is the best age to send kids to daycare for they development?

      Thank you so much! And gosh, I couldn't really say. Kids start at so many different ages and do well. I think it really depends on the kid and the family 😊

    Preschool teacher here. I teach 3 year olds. I don't have children of my own. (Why am I watching this lol!?) No but seriously, I just want to add for parents to see. Expect to your kids to still have accidents when they hit pre school and pre k as well. You know how you sometimes know you need to go to the bathroom but you insist you just want to do one more thing before going to the bathroom and then you yourself wind up squeezing your legs together as you run to the bathroom after doing those dishes? ( C'mon admit it. We all do it.) Well, kids don't want to stop in the middle of things or they want to play just one more game or do just one more activity before going to the bathroom. A lot of times they think they can wait longer than they really can! So, yeah there will be accidents even after they are fully potty trained!

      Thanks for adding that! It's definitely true. Kids get busy and daycare can be too fun for them to want to waste time going potty lol

    This is helpful. My 2y old goes to daycare 4-5 days a week full time. I’m not sure how I should start potty training at home. I should do it in the weekends?

    • @RelatableMotherhood

      I would get the ball rolling on a weekend and see how they do 😊 If they seem like they're understanding it then totally ask daycare to keep it going throughout the week!

    Any tips for doing this with my almost 3 yr old boy when I also have twin 7 month old babies. I feel like I cannot do well enough at home to get him on a good start for daycare... if that makes any sense.

    • @RelatableMotherhood
      @RelatableMotherhood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's totally okay to let daycare get him started! I would just bring the supplies and ask his teacher if she would begin potty training him. Then you guys can see how he does at daycare and if he does well, continue it at home. I would just say be careful to be consistent. If he potty trains really well at daycare but is in diapers full time at home, the plan will backfire 😅

    My daughter is 23 months old and we started potty training two weeks ago. We reached a point that we aren't having any accidents during the day at all. She even woke up with dry diaper from her nap. Then I sent her back to daycare on Friday, and baaam, all of the effort and success is gone in one day. She is having accidents with every pee. All pee now goes in her pants. I don't understand why this is happening. I think one problem is that at daycare they play outdoor twice per day for an hour each time and they nap for 2 hours. During those hours, they still put her in diaper. So 4 hours out of 8 hours at daycare she was in diapers and she got confused and thought it is ok to start peeing in her pants again?
    Would you please give me advice? I am ok if they continue to use a diaper during her nap, but how can we deal with outdoor play? I doubt that she can hold the pee until they bring her inside to pee in the toilet.
    Thank you

      Hi! I would ask them to take her inside to potty if she has to go during outside time. When I worked in daycare, we would never put a child in a diaper just for outside time. That seems odd. Any potty trainers were just brought in to go pee if they had to go. I would talk to her teacher and let her know you don't want her in diapers unless it's nap time, and ask how she can be allowed to go potty if she has to go during outside time. Daycare should mimic what's happening at home 😊 If it isn't, I wouldn't be surprised that she's getting confused! Sounds like maybe some good communication will help fix the problem ❤

      @@RelatableMotherhood Thank you very much for the advice. I have just talked with her teacher and we agreed that she should be in underwear during the outdoor play and they will bring her inside to pee in the potty 30 minutes into the outdoor play or if she needs to.

    My son is potty trained at home and at daycare he has accidents. He comes home with pull up under his underwear. He’s getting confused. I don’t want all our hard work going to waste. What should I do?

    • @RelatableMotherhood
      @RelatableMotherhood  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you don't want him wearing a pull ups at school, make that super clear to his teacher (In a polite way). Daycare should be matching what you're doing at home. I would pack him lots of extra clothes and just ask that the teacher is sending him every half hour. That sounds intense, but when I worked as a daycare teacher potty training toddlers thats what I would do. They get busy at daycare with toys and their friends and it's hard for them to stop and go pee. Maybe a sticker reward system could help for a couple of weeks to get him used to it too? Every time he potties at school his teacher could let him put a sticker on a piece of paper. Just a thought! But for sure just communicate what you want 😊 You call the shots when it comes to your kid ❤
