    ICYMI: Baby has been breech for weeks, and measuring very large due to my gestational diabetes. Because of this, the midwives transferred me out of their care at 36 weeks. We've had two ultrasounds since then, one that revealed baby is measuring 8lbs 6oz and was still breech. The second ultrasound showed that after a week of trying all the things, baby had finally turned head down. Unfortunately she's also grown even bigger, to the point that neither the midwives or the regular OB feel that it's safe for her to be delivered vaginally anymore. Her weight isn't the issue, but her chest to head ratio very much is and the chance of shoulder dystocia and injury to her and/or me during birth is very high now. After research, time, a million questions, and prayer, baby will now be arriving via c section at 39 weeks. This is a very terrifying and humbling experience for me. Please pray peace for Joe and I and that the surgery will be smooth and uneventful, and that our girl will be perfect on arrival and able to keep her blood sugar up without outside help ❤️ It'll be a while before I'm uploading regularly again, but I will be back! In the meantime go follow me on Instagram at Relatable_Motherhood 👈 #3rdtrimester #4thbaby #gestationaldiabetes

    Love your channel! Have you done or can you do a bedtime routine and/or also include how to coordinate bedtime for all the kids even with their different ages? Do they all share a room and then same bedtimes? Just curious how you make that work. 💓💓

      I haven't made a video about it, but that's a good idea! 😊 the very short answer is yes they all share a room. My 1 year old goes to bed at 8 and my older two go to bed at 9. It took a lot of training and time to get them to be quiet and not wake the baby, but it works!

    Get your baby or toddler their own amazing play kit here: lovevery.pxf.io/753MgV I love how Loveevery designs their kits to be SO specific in meeting kids at their stages of development. The Realist Kit is for months 19, 20, and 21, and Lucy May loves her new toys so much!! This takes the guess work out of what toys she's ready for next (something I stress about a lot!). I have twin boys one does not care and does fine my other boy!!!! He even cries when I leave for a second and leave him with dad he’s been like this since birth…. Idk what to do I tried it all the good bye kiss and hug and good bye.. the prep talking the day before and the sneaking away he cries and throws a tantrum. The daycare dose t let me leave of he’s crying aggressively;( help please I really need to go to work. I also tried the gym. And they gave me my money back because he won’t stay 😢

    • @RelatableMotherhood
      @RelatableMotherhood 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Poor buddy...and poor you! That sounds so stressful. Unfortunately there are some kids that just cannot handle being separated from mom and the only choices are to keep at it and over time he will realize this is how things are going to be (which is SO hard and sad, but sometimes necessary if you have no choice and you HAVE to work) or the other choice if you're able to hold off on working is to let him be home with you until the separation anxiety phase passes or improves. I'm sorry the daycare isn't better equipped to help him settle in. Trying a new daycare might be the answer too. Some daycares have really experienced workers who know how to manage and settle a sad child, and other daycares have less experienced workers who just can't cope and don't have the skills or know-how yet to help a sad child settle in.

    In my toiletry kit 👇 ▪️Big pads ▪️Hairbrush and scrunchy ▪️Deoderant ▪️Tucks pads (iykyk) ▪️Combs to squeeze in myhands during labor 👍 My favorite electrolyte is from @perfectamino Body Health. Their watermelon flavor is THE BEST. Not fizzy. The flavor is very gentle and not gross and overpowering like a lot of electrolytes out there. I drank these electrolytes through my entire 3rd trimester with my last pregnancy AND post partum, and I'm doing the same thing this time. I can't recommend them enough. (Not sponsored at all. They are seriously the best.) ➡️ All 3 of my babies have had trouble latching at birth and two of them had trouble latching for several weeks or months after birth. I've learned to tune out the noise of people judging me using a shield and just do what it takes to be able to nurse my babies ❤️ What else would you pack for a birth center birth? #pregnancy #birth #4thbaby #birthcenterbirth #hospitalbag #birthcenterbag #homemaker #housewife #momof3

    Comparison is 100% the thief of joy. And when you spend all your time gazing at things you can't have, you're comparing. ➡️ Gadgets other moms are using that are way out of your budget right now. ➡️ Clothes other homemakers wear on a daily basis that make you feel like your own wardrobe isn't as lovely or nice. ➡️ A house you can't have because you're not in a position to buy yet and you're still living the apartment life (🙋‍♀️) ➡️ Another mom doing something you don't have the skill, time, or capacity to do right now, but wish you did. (Like baking, cooking from scratch, sewing, homeschooling...you name it.) And it hurts. But it's a hurt we do to ourselves by allowing ourselves to look-by following social media accounts that show us these things every single day. Bitterness, envy, and discontent can take root fast and none of them will help you be in a position to have that thing you want yet. 👉Look at your life! A younger you dreamt of this. Be glad ❤️ Unfollow social media accounts that make your thoughts go dark and your heart ungrateful. Continue to ask God for the things you want, but be okay in the waiting and start listing the wonderful things He's already said yes to in your life. Don't let yourself stare at things that aren't for you right now. #contentment #homemaker #homemaking #sahm #housewife #momof3

    Thanks for sharing Jessica, and God bless the upcoming arrival of your little girl. I have 3 little ones (4, 2 and 9mo), and we’ll probably have more to come, so it’s interesting to see what others use for their babies. I love the idea of the bassinet with a cover, I’ll have to look into that if we have another baby. I love the sleep suits that have legs; my kids have all hated being restricted while asleep/in bed, and if you did end up cosleeping, should be the safest option. I 100% agree about the minimal clothing for kids, we do similar. It really reduces the overwhelm of washing, because it can’t pile up! We used a pillow similar to the snuggle me one for laying baby down while we move around the house, as it’s easy to move. I also wouldn’t leave baby alone asleep in there though, I don’t think it’s super safe.

    • @RelatableMotherhood

    Paper budget person as well, and tried other budget templates but they didn’t seem to work because they were too specific or not specific enough. So I just use a notebook and layout as I want!

    I just realized I can’t declutter the toy room with the kids 😅 I also only ever wash my hair in the middle of day, everyone melts by 5 or 6 pm here. My fav thing is also to make lunch at 10 am and then eat it for the rest of the day 🎉

    I'm not getting any breaks while kids nap at the moment, and I'm finding it really hard. When the baby goes down the older 2 still fight like cats and dogs. When I get a breath I prioritise rest, but it's hard not to feel resentful. This phase will end, but right now it's very trying.

      I'm so sorry 😔 my older two are 6 and 8 and they're able to watch a movie or play minecraft together if I need rest while baby naps. It took us a long time to get to this point. You'll get there too ❤️ I know it's so hard in the meantime to be deprived of the sleep you need. Try to take care of yourself in other ways as best you can ❤️

    Im sure it wasn't malicious at all, but its ok to bring up possible feelings of disrespect calmly at a later time. Clear communication makes for a happy marriage.
