The phrase “president” meant a lot to Komari since it represented the man she loved, and the fact she accepted Nukumizu as the new “president” is just so sweet. Ep.11’s definitely one brilliant and touching episode to watch.
I’m so so so happy for Komari!!! She didn’t even want to become president, she just wanted a place where she could belong to and was like: “Okay, if that’s what it takes to keep my “dream” alive I’ll do it, even if this role is not meant for me…” I know too well that horrible feeling of people telling you: “You won’t be able to do it, so let me take care of things in your place…” I know too well the frustration it causes you, together with pain and anger, both towards the person who told you that (even if they genuinely wanted to help) and especially yourself, because you end up feeling completely useless… Me too, there were some occasions in which I was like: “They’re helping me now, but sooner or later, they will all abandon me, so I have to take charge and do as many things as possible by myself… Because otherwise when they’ll leave, when there’s no one left to stand by my side, I’ll be screwed…” This episode made me very emotional, I can fully understand what Komari has been through, because I’ve been there… But I can’t help but feel so much joy for her, because she finally understood that she has friends who will always be there when she needs it…
It’s not only that Komari wanted to keep the club (and the place where she belonged) alive, she also believed everyone else would leave lit club, so that’s why she wanted to do everything by herself, she thought she would have to at some point, anyway. Really sympathized with her feeling of being left alone, which also made her fumble at the council meeting more nerve-wracking in retrospect. Have to give props to Yanami for her wise words this episode. Maybe she isn’t as hopeless as a consultant as we thought. There was definitely some Nukumizu-Komari shipping this episode, with the “I’ll be with you always”, “you have to take responsibility” and Komari calling him President, which she explicitly mentioned she associated with the man she loved.
Genuinely one of the best episodes of the year imo. Definitely the best romance episode so far. Managed to elevate not only the girl on focus but Nukumizu and Anna too. For Anna, it was more of us getting a better perspective of her than development tho. I remember the movie Everything everywhere all at once where you initially have an impression of the husband character. But you slowly realise what kind of person he actually is throughout the movie. I feel like that was Anna this episode. She dumps her emotional baggage on him and loves to annoy him a lot, but in return she always had his back. With the stuff with Lemon, the festival and now this. "I'll be around to clean up the remains" is such a hard hitting line. She was everything to Nukumizu, what Komari needed Nukumizu to be to her. I don't think I have to add much about Nuk or Komari, the writing speaks for itself. Nuk was alone and Komari was lonely. Man, this show was an amazing ride. I'm excited to see what the author will cook up for the finale.
If I remember correctly, while ep. 12 is anime original, it's written by the LN author and was an idea that he already had that just didn't make it into the book.
18:30 i think he was trying to be a villain so she can be angry at him instead of herself. But that wouldnt work, because komari considers nukumizu a best friend.
I liked that until now, Yanami was the one who need support and Nukumizu was there for her. But in this episode, Nukumizu was the one in conflict and Yanami took the supporter role. What a nice friendship
This episode shows us what an unreliable narrator Nukumizu is about himself...during his talk with Komari on the stairs he monologues about being fine being alone, that he actually prefers being by himself..and we all know by now that is CAP. Anna being the GOAT in pushing Nukumizu's back as usual.
@@kumarigrg3214 go back and warch how ok he was being alone after he "cut off" his relationahip with Anna in v1. Don't believe the words of a loner saying he likes being alone.
@@deadline6149it was the same for lemon in vol 6 but what i am trying to say is if they do seperate than it would only be a memory for nuku and he would go back to being a loner
@@kumarigrg3214 i disagree, but we'll see..to me he just seems the kind of character who is good at analizing others and terrible at analizing himself.
Considering what happened this episode it wouldn't surprise me if the original ending was to get Komari and Nukumizu dating, then treat it as a series finale and never make a season 2...
Not getting a season 2 is impossible. Both the anime and light novel are doing well in Japan, and the studio clearly invested a lot of care into the anime to just stop after the first major arc. But I don't mind a harem ending filler for Nukumizu.
yep they did a perfect job of putting the viewer RIGHT in Nukumizu's shoes, where he knew she didn't want to be helped like that but he quite literally couldn't bear to see her suffer like that anymore
6:22 I really don't like Nukumizu at the moment, especially how he is treating Komari. Take this moment for instant. He does not give her any constructive comment even though he acknowledged Komari shows improvement. He just keeps it to himself. 10:14 Basically, Nukumizu is not trying to help Komari build her confidence by trying to do the speech for her. It is so frustrating to see him doing this to Komari. 15:10 And now Nukumizu stole the thing that connects Komari to her seniors. Baka Nukumizu. 17:19 Anna's calory counter is from the official website. The production team is behind all of it... LOL.
I think you are downplaying Nukumizu's actions. He does belive she can do it, and he does want her to improve her courage. It's just that he does not belive she can do it that fast, and letting her face this while still not ready might leave her a scar that will make her future progress harder.
yep i wholly agree with this, it's not that he doesn't believe she can do it at all (he very much in the heat of the moment says something he doesn't mean when he says she "can't do it" or i suppose its more of he meant she can't do it at that moment) but that doesn't at all mean he believes she can't improve overtime. that's why he asks her to let him handle this one, so she can continue to improve, and take the next one
And she actually can't do it tho, he was right. The club effect every member, if the president doing bad then everyone will get the poor treat from the council. The collective must come first, Nukkun already did everything he had to and it's the best choice for everyone and she rejected it. I would gladly resign if I got the pres like Komari lol. Just don't put the emotional to the work too much just do what's the best choice for the team that's all, but in the end she fail and throwing the bottle to her friend's face with no apology right away. Just an L in my opinion me😂.
Amazing finale, (at least involving LN content) super interested in what this anime original episode is going to hold
The moment when nukumizu realized that komari isn't an introvert but socially anxious. He always thought they were similar but they were not.

never thought of that implication

24:44 Sakurai-kun cameo RAAAAHHHHHH THE ONLY COMPETENT STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER!!!!! 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
i really like Komari sooooo much ( also her VA )
also we really need season 2
her VA, Terasawa Momoka really became my favorite new voice actress after this anime

So he is an actual introvert unlike komari. He enjoys alone time which doesn't mean he cannot socialize.

There is no way they would destroy this story with such a dumb original ending. 🤣
Komari has such a big presence because v3 is her arc.
