It is a wonderful finding. Any garage and tyre shops which has wheel balancing equipments can run the car tyre in a static position can charge the car battery and no need for any charging equipments. All big tyre shop business can provide charging using this concept..
its so incredible , i dont recommend towing but supppose in a journey of 13 km if there is a slope of 1 km so the car will charge 1% means 2.5-3 km of charge in battery . therefore actual energy usage is of only 10 km while travelling 13 km

Ye dhekna hai ki if it charges with 7kw AC type 2 charger and and then comparing it to 22kw AC type 2 charger. 2. On run charging. Ye dhekna hai ki, is it possible to charge the vehicle while it is running. So dat people can come up with solar mods on roof top and things. 3. If regen also works on reverse gear ( I know it's extreme 😜) but people are so curious to know about these things.

Great that you tried and proved that you can regen while being towed. So much reassuring. One more thing to check and try is if it will regen when the battery is zero. If I am not wrong I suggested you to try regen while being towed. Whose ever suggestion or your own thought what you did and proved is just great. A big round of applause 👏
Hey it will not regen when the battery is 0% You need to have some juice left n your car should be ON n it should be on drive mode to regen while towing. Do share it with your friends Thanks 🙌

You are doing great experiment job for all of us. One serious thought about range extender ,why can't tata moters and sun mobility together work on additional small size of swappable battery like 10 kW. No need to purchase this additionalBattery in this system, only have to make deposit and swap any swapping station in 3 to 4 minutes and get 100 km range. That will be huge beneficial to ev owners.
Technically according to them they are damaging physics rules. How ? - Because they say that they charged the battery 1% approx every km. You can check here 7:58 So if they have two EV. On 100% EV runs for 250km. Let suppose if they tow another vehicle than it ran for 150km. So at 100km of towing the second EV will be at 100%approx and another EV is at 30%. So they started with 100 and 0% And ended with 100 and 30% So they created energy without loosing it which is impossible according to physics. Tell me something if i missed or i am wrong at somewhere.
I guess you are missing out on the fact that you are losing energy in one car to gain energy in another car !!! The car has break regeneration which is forcing the car to recharge , pls note that it happens only when car is in d mode so you can't do this regen when car is at 0%

You guys are doing a great work VLOGGING about nexon EV. One personal query, if you could answers it in your next VLOG. How to setup a charging point in my parking in my multi storey apartment? Does Tata do it for you and How?
OK... I had seen that. But my question was inclined more towards specifics. How do they connect to our electric meter, specially the parking is in say basement -2 of the building and not near the meter... And what are the additional charges if any
So they provide 20 meter cable for free if the distance is more you need to pay per meter wise ... the setup is done by Tata power so they know how to take connection from your meter
what about going to a service center, lift your vehicle and rotate your wheel with something mechanical. Motor Or any such device easily available in Service Centers (local). Want to know just in case you have no electricity in rural service centers but any such mechanically operating(via. petroleum fuel) stuffs.
There are inverter generator bhi mill saktata hai, try at Alang ship breaking market near bhavnagar gujrat, it's a small unit , it can handle sudden surge of high voltage request, in one video I saw charging a tesla with inverter generator.
Ev me 2 batteries hone chahiye ,one battery use me ho tab another battery ko dynamo se charge krto rahe ...n first discharge ho tab second wali use kre...real face of ev yahi hoga...in future.
Can you take 2 Tata Nexon EV and a towing cable and charge one EV by towing other and repeat the process one by one , how long can we travel by repeating the process.
Tata strongly advises against towing with front wheels on the ground in the user manual. Those hooks are probably designed to secure the vehicle to the proper towing vehicle. Towing this way will also cause serious damage to the transmission of the towing vehicle.
If electric car need towing, generators or some sort of carbon emitting gadget to charge....I will wait till technology gets stabilised. Thanks for all your efforts to showcase tbe possibilities.
How will a bigger genset help since the nexon ev onboard charger is only 3kw max unlike kona and zsev which have 7kw. Also nexon ev is 25kw max while fast charging when fast chargers everywhere are min 50kw along with all other ev
Hey the setup is such that it adjusts the current according to the requirement of the car so even if you connect to 50kw charger it downgrade the supply n charge at the ke required

Same with onboard charger even if a hotel has a 7kw charger this will charge at 3kw. I have cancelled my booking because of these two reasons. In this task it affected around 2-3 Km/L. Usually in city road my machine runs around 15-17 km/L. 🤟🏻

Try towing at day light (with all lights off)so that we can get exact regeneration figures.
We purposely did this in the evening to avoid traffic we gotta find an empty road so that we are not hampering the traffic

Can suggest Tata Motors to use real wheels for regeneration and front wheels for driving...
Buy a red colour lifting belt it is high capacity lifting belt and best for towing car which is impossible to break

Did you try applying break slightly as regeneration happens while applying breaking. May be percentage of charging will be more??
The car was anyways creating a lot of resistance so braking would have made it more difficult for the duster to tow it
