Hi Warner, I would hazard a guess that Noraly is pretty savvy about nefarious characters. She has been traveling quite a while prior to this motorcycle excursion and is experienced. My comments were just being fatherly., But...., maybe she would like to read your article. That is up to her. There is a lot written about ADV riding. Not so much on the dangers though. There should be more on that topic. Have you published your article? I wouldn't mind reading it.

What a special lady Noraly is. People hear the word, biker and get a mental image. To me Noraly is a true biker. The trip she referred to as a "warm up lap" before heading north , is a ride most riders will never achieve. Now she will begin her Alaska journey. Let's not forget that most miles are on dirt roads or trails even. That's a biker!

And it takes another flavour and intensity to know all the epic passages you are going to face on your way. Noraly, you are a really strong person, great wanderer, and always taking things that happen in a good temper. As some rider on the Kalahari Rally said "I had a strong respect for you... and now I have a Huge respect for you" ! Ride safe and happy.

Those dogs have motor heart, the uncontrollable urge to chase motorcycles.
So long as they don't bite. My friend was bitten 2X by village dogs; while cycling in Issan Thailand.

Only dogs understand bikers and that's why they like to ride in cars with their head out the window.
