  • About the speaker:
    Born in 1949 in Shimla, India, Acharya Shambhushivananda Avadhuta, popularly known as Dada is a gold medalist of Punjab University, with a Ph.D in Business and Applied Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He taught at several universities in the United States before choosing a monastic life in 1979.
    He is presently the Chancellor of Neohumanist Global Education Network with its headquarters at Anandanagar, West Bengal, India. He is the author of “PROUT: Neohumanist Economics”, “Thoughts for a New Era”, “Mystic Verses” and “Towards a Brighter Future: Fragrant Petals from the Life of Beloved Bábá”.
    Dada Shambhúshivánanda believes that we cannot fix society by just dealing with its problems alone, instead we need to also change the mindset of people too. He also believes that there can be no lasting individual satisfaction of our longings without balancing the collective longing as well.
