Your good as long as your not trying to get an isolated spore print, I grow the bags to check the batches, so I always have blocks to deal with, of all kind of strains, but of course if one of them has contamination you'll loose both,
I have a grow bag and I did the break and shake probably 3 weeks ago. I have cut the bag yet and I’ve had it in pretty much darkness. I know have mushroom pins growing everywhere. What’s your recommendation? Should I transfer to a tub?
Yea I would get it out I put parelite n the bottom of tub with a couple cups of water do foil over it it's gonna cause a lot of moisture just don't let it sit in a puddle of moisture water i put the block on an upside down coffe cup saucer or even an upsidedown glass bowl because the excess moisture will go down the sides light moisture and oxygen be great for that
try a long thin unibit or stepbit with super light or almost no pressure and clean the bit after every hole. less chance of breaking the plastic. I just drilled out my first ever yesterday and broke 3 tubs before I figured it out lol
@@rynhanson I probably would have done that with myself but all of the hole saws I have way too big for the filters I had purchased..... Damn good tip brother!! I wanted to be able to cover mine with the micropore tape so I kept a bunch of smaller holes instead of larger. Worked out pretty good I'm on my third flush 😁

I find that after they start pinning they love the moisture from doin the perilite it's more consistent I guess if you have the time to mist 3 or 4 times a day it's the same thing, I would mist the lid and sides of tub real good tho after one of our bags is fully colonized it's got an immunity I don't know maybe Ile make a video of misting or the alternative n see wich one gets sick first

Do you have vermicellite? If you got a fully colonized brick and you have a humidifier on your Martha's tent and it's clean a friend of mine puts our bags rite in the tent and cranks up moisture ur looking for moisture and oxygen after the brick is colonized, if you don't got perilite id mist it 3 times a day and fan it for a couple minutes

@RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC cool, I have a golden teacher block and a blue meanie block I am going to put into the same one. I have run out of tubs ATM lol.
I have a grow bag with hundreds of side pins and mushrooms on top growing good, there still looks like a small area on top isn't colonized(it's a 5ib bag) but I'm not sure because I can't see through the bag, would it be too risky to move it to a tub because of that?
I would just be clean and careful some oxygen and moisture would be great for them but make sure you don't smash and kill any pins and leave them in there the dead mushroom tissue will give you contamination so if there is a patch that is not colonized I would use that part as the bottom is this one of our grow bags? We’re in the the same boat, I’m trying to figure out if it’ll produce a bigger yield or will it be the same. (Cannot find straight answers about this online) I have the bag full of substrate + grains. My only assumption is to buy coco coir, and mix it with the the AOI, let it continue to fully colonize and then fruit.
@@etherealjay I'd be careful with the coir if anything do a pseudo casing layer with some substrate seen a lot of people with contam adding the coir casing but if you pasteurize it properly then it's probably fine. It's weird that I see people getting contam a lot doing the all in one to a tub and using a casing but the people just moving the brick or breaking the brick up and going to a tub seem to have no issues
I use a 1" hole saw and a drill I run the drill backwards and it's easier to not crack the tub it does a little more melting than teeth catching the plastic and cracking works great
I bought 2 grow bags from mycolabs and a spore syringe from inoculate the world.. 3 weeks after i inoculated the bags.. I noticed green spots among the white mycelium.. Does this mean that the bag is done for? Or are the green spits normal?

Would it better to use two 18 quart containers? Flip over the 2nd one and use it as a lid? Also how much LC would you recommend for a 3lb grow bag and also a 5lb? Thanks brotha, SUBBED...
I would use half of the lc syringe on the 3 lb and the hole thing on the 5lb n I got some of our grow bags with tud on top of tub n the fruiting room now it gives a real nice humidity that's only because those fruiting blocks stand up so high, honestly if you are putting ur not using a grow bag and are putting ur spawn to substrate I use the 17 to 20 quart tubs and.
