    Your good as long as your not trying to get an isolated spore print, I grow the bags to check the batches, so I always have blocks to deal with, of all kind of strains, but of course if one of them has contamination you'll loose both,

    I have a grow bag and I did the break and shake probably 3 weeks ago. I have cut the bag yet and I’ve had it in pretty much darkness. I know have mushroom pins growing everywhere. What’s your recommendation? Should I transfer to a tub?

    • @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC
      @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yea I would get it out I put parelite n the bottom of tub with a couple cups of water do foil over it it's gonna cause a lot of moisture just don't let it sit in a puddle of moisture water i put the block on an upside down coffe cup saucer or even an upsidedown glass bowl because the excess moisture will go down the sides light moisture and oxygen be great for that

  • @dead_ground999
    @dead_ground999 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If your perlite is hydrated there is no need to soray the foil or tub.

    try a long thin unibit or stepbit with super light or almost no pressure and clean the bit after every hole. less chance of breaking the plastic. I just drilled out my first ever yesterday and broke 3 tubs before I figured it out lol

      I find that after they start pinning they love the moisture from doin the perilite it's more consistent I guess if you have the time to mist 3 or 4 times a day it's the same thing, I would mist the lid and sides of tub real good tho after one of our bags is fully colonized it's got an immunity I don't know maybe Ile make a video of misting or the alternative n see wich one gets sick first

      Do you have vermicellite? If you got a fully colonized brick and you have a humidifier on your Martha's tent and it's clean a friend of mine puts our bags rite in the tent and cranks up moisture ur looking for moisture and oxygen after the brick is colonized, if you don't got perilite id mist it 3 times a day and fan it for a couple minutes

    I have a grow bag with hundreds of side pins and mushrooms on top growing good, there still looks like a small area on top isn't colonized(it's a 5ib bag) but I'm not sure because I can't see through the bag, would it be too risky to move it to a tub because of that?

    • @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC
      @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I would just be clean and careful some oxygen and moisture would be great for them but make sure you don't smash and kill any pins and leave them in there the dead mushroom tissue will give you contamination so if there is a patch that is not colonized I would use that part as the bottom is this one of our grow bags? We’re in the the same boat, I’m trying to figure out if it’ll produce a bigger yield or will it be the same. (Cannot find straight answers about this online) I have the bag full of substrate + grains. My only assumption is to buy coco coir, and mix it with the the AOI, let it continue to fully colonize and then fruit.

    Would it better to use two 18 quart containers? Flip over the 2nd one and use it as a lid? Also how much LC would you recommend for a 3lb grow bag and also a 5lb? Thanks brotha, SUBBED...

    • @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC
      @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I would use half of the lc syringe on the 3 lb and the hole thing on the 5lb n I got some of our grow bags with tud on top of tub n the fruiting room now it gives a real nice humidity that's only because those fruiting blocks stand up so high, honestly if you are putting ur not using a grow bag and are putting ur spawn to substrate I use the 17 to 20 quart tubs and. Use the lids they come with, won't change it cause it works so well for us, I only grow the grow bags to show people how to and check my own work for contamination before I get rid of them, we will be offering liquid culture shortly on our site as well, make sure you have a good seal if you do the tub on top of tub I just use the thick paper tape, as far as the contamination from the other comment maybe it was the substrate if you were 100% on ur grain spawn or may be the tubs let contam in I am showering people our grain bags n doing tubs in about 2 weeks we been doing this for many years it's a process of elimination finding out wear ur cantam is coming from, I hope I have helped you even if you don't order from us go to our web site get our bizz number n text me pics n i will help if I can ..... I didn't see you using a flow hood.. I know those help,but some of these videos I watch show ppl going overboard with being sterile... Im actually going to try this method here... I definitely use a flow hood when I am working on anything that will come into contact w air at all, being sterile is of the up most importants, I am transitioning from a sterile syringe into a sterile grow bag low enough risk that you dont need a flow hood if you dont have air flow in the room, i am doing a video on grain spawn and putting it to substrate in about 2 weeks if ur spawn is fully colonized it has an immunity till them and one mold spore any thing will ruin it I got you ur only a beginner till ur not, ur success is my success

    • @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC
      @RockyMountainSporeCompanyLLC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Use a good mono tub if you dial it in perfect it keeps humidity till you pick ur mushrooms, we are doing them with some grain spawn we are growing now, or you can use a tent with a humidifier or a Martha's tent, we been doin this a long time n if you do ur mono tub right it will hold humidity then you can stack the mono tubs on shelves if you are growing a hole room, that's what we do, I don't like Martha's tents or having a lot of stuff together because if you do get contamination it's segregated to that tub, I am doing a video using the grain bags we sell and the sterile substrate we sell soon, you could try a humidifier, I get great results just keeping it simple. It's not grain spawn it's a grow bag that already has the substrate in it, you can also see the updates in the newer videos no aborts they actually grew quite large mushrooms that had to keep being picked because they kept sporulating, I think if you already grow mushrooms than you can tell the products are very sterile and the genetics are sound, n you can do it how ever you want, n if it's your first time than that's what the videos are for,
