Imagine the Cumans ready to pillage and coming across a town filled with already dead people, all with similar wounds. They would think a demon or some shit was there
That actually would be a pretty cool sub plot in an rpg. Arrive at a small village that appears empty, but further exploration revealing people dead around the place, at their work stations, in the streets, at their dinner tables and in their beds. Journal notes and flyers about a serial killer on the loose. Maybe you find half the guards all dead in their beds in the barracks or something. Knowing only that _someone_ did this. And they're probably still out there
@@JohnsonHoword Just practice more at the combat ring. The combat is more clunky than hard. I've completed the game multiple times without a shield and just a mace.
@Johnson Howard At the beginning of the game the combat feels intentionally difficult through some hidden factors imo just to humble you, as iirc it felt like right as I leveled my combat skills high enough, player level, or did some training field related practices, and got a better sword with plate armor the combat felt too easy. I could rush straight into a bandit camp and it felt like the bandits were letting me win as long as I didn't let them surround me. Maybe the devs made some changes to difficulty I didn't know about as I'm sure I didn't just have an epiphany and suddenly become a wizz at the combat.
The storytelling was actually incredible. I remember you felt frustrated not having success with that format on Bannerlord, and I thought that the game was not the right one to have that kind of narration, but here it's just perfect. Can't wait to see some more KCD content like this one, please keep it up !
The first time I tried to get into KCD was shortly after its release, but I chose to keep my fingers off it after my first 2 hours in the game were an utter buggy mess. Finally, 5 years later, I picked the game back up about a week ago. And what an experience it's been so far. I discovered you through your great Bannerlords videos a little while back, and I'm excited to see you delve into KCD now, too!
I've definitely done a playthrough where I RP'd Henry, the budding serial killer. The trauma of the invasion only accelerated the darkness already growing within his soul. Great video, Strat!
I managed to kill Kunesh during A Woman's Lot. I was disappointed the game didn't have anything like MGS3's "time paradox" game overs with Henry interrupting the story questioning the discontinuity (You killed Kunesh? But I saw him begging in Rattay just an hour ago!).
It was all part of Henry's master plan to be accepted into Sigismund's service as a hired mercenary. Then, he would work his way up the ranks and into Sigi's inner circle. Shortly thereafter, poor von Aulitz would be found with half his face decorating a mace...and who else could be trusted as Sigi's new right hand man except Henry? One discreet knife thrust later, and the threat to Wenceslaus' throne would be at an end. So you see, the people of Skalitz had to die for the good of the kingdom. For King and country!
It took like five minutes until it clicked, this was made by Strat Gaming. Not complaining, your videos made me start downloading Kingdom Come: Deliverance once again.
A Horrifying Revelation: The death of Henrys parents being his excuse for his horrific murders, knowing full well that's a lie and revels in the crunch.
Thanks! It's about 5 years old at this point so it's a bit older, but it's a lot of fun! The biggest issue is it's a lot slower pace than other games like Bannerlord. A ton more dialogue and some pretty hefty grinding for the skills, but the storyline and atmosphere is the best I've even seen in a video game before!
Thanks strat, you really did it this time. You've made me return to bohemia once again. All the defenseless animals of the early game wont know what hit em this time around KEKW
It was such a great presentation that I purchased rhe game. We all look forward to the next leg of the adventure - hopefully less hard than the second video 📷
Oh wow, I'm happy to hear that! You won't be disappointed :) I've got a skills XP guide coming out this weekend for KCD (hopefully, I have it recorded and just need to do some light editing) so that should be helpful
You forgot how Henry sneaks around at night and breaks into Merchants store chests. Only for the merchant to open shop half naked and with no goods to lay out to display :)
Henry gone Postal! Things to do list on monday: 1. fetch some beer. 2. get money from the debt. 3. buy some charcoal 4. get the cross-sword from guard. "Get everything by killing everyone of the village" mission accomplished with extreme prejudice, time to head home!
5 minutes later the cumans enter the village to find only henry alive . They look at his body dyed with blood . They get so scared that they run away to daddy sigusmund
It's amazing that Henry has self-rationalized the mass murder of his village people as a way to deny the Cumans the pleasure of killing. He is a monster that lacks self-awareness!
Hell, i was peeing me watching this vid while thinking, the Hero is about to become but the butcher makes it worth 😂😂😂😂. Thank You so much for entertaining me at its best 😊
Literally laughing out loud my stomach hurts! 😂🤣🤣. Its also funny because after i threw dung at the house i came across the same cow and punched it, but only once, my henry didnt give chase because hes only a fledgling psychopath at the moment but hes headed down a path of no return! Awesome video bro!
I remember killing Kunesh only for him to appear in Rattay. I think he and Zbyshek are the two NPCs that respawn if you kill them (except for some traders and generic NPCs)
Imagine sending your innocent son to get some charcoal and ale and he murders the whole village.
Lol I guess you never really know what people are capable of! That's the scary part
Imagine hoping your innocent son follows in your footsteps...

From this point of view the Cumans are liberators that saved the village from Henry
The Cumans and Sigismund's Army was also conquered by Henry the Butcher of Skalitz(Geralt reference)
- I heard those terrible Kumans killed everyone in Skalitz?
- Yeah.. about that
Lol history was rewritten this day :D
Imagine Cumans entering Skalitz and finding all the citizens death lol.... WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE? :D
Henry: What? Cumans?
What does a cuman look like?
*CUMANS YEA DEFINITELY IT WAS THEM FOR SURE... THE UH WHAT DID YOU CALL THEM AGAIN?*

What's the best way to level up in the prologue?
Oh.
...Oh.
Can't wait for the sequel. One of the best medieval RPG out there.
Yeah same, hopefully it will be soon!
@Johnson Howard it gets pretty easy when u get the master ripostes

This was legitimately horrifying. The deadpan delivery as callous death is wrought all around made me unironically shiver.
I was grinning and laughing the whole time. 😂

Top five RPGs of all time in my book. Fun seeing you making content for it. :D
Agreed, the immersion in this game is incredible!
Cumans: "Right, lets get em! Wait where is everyone?"
Henry in the bushes with a corpse on his shoulder: *stomach growls* I feel quite hungry."
"Oh hello henry!" Snaps neck like twig. "Tell me about the rabbits" henry said as the light slowly fades from his victims eyes.
This is such entertaining storytelling and the editing is fantastic!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
In fact, i also pretty much enjoyed it !!!
I know it is wrong, but i was laughing so hard at this. The narrator did a great Job here
This is great! Really suits your dry humor
Okay cool, I wasn't sure if I went too far on this one lol

We need to see the continuation of this story. I laughed way too much at this ridiculous psycho run.
I did this, took me entire evening. What a great way to level up and it completely shifts perpective during dialogues when somebody mentiones Slalitz.
The most heinous thing in this video is when Henry cheats at corpse kicking, does this man have no morals?

Since it's Theresa telling the story to Henry, I like to pretend that she twists her story to fuck with him.
