Exactly! It’s not about shaming people for having natural desires, it’s teaching about self-control and learning how to enjoy healthy relationships without it needing to be immediately sexual in nature.
Maybe the birth control meds were studied... They think in some videos of Tammy Peterson and the experts that its wasnt studied for 60 years. But such drugs have "side effects" document in the package....so probably it was documented. or not?
Very informative! My father is has 4 failed marriages, currently married to 2 wives (including my mum). I was blessed to meet my husband and we have been married for 5.5years. I am learning to play video games with my husband, i absolutely think it can be a great hobby as he is still responsible with his roles as husband, dad and a child of God! We both kept our virginity till our wedding night and i would do it again, this time i will be loud and proud about it.
That’s really great of you guys to not Shane people about sex but to make it beautiful to master one’s self to be dedicated to someone else instead of sleeping around.
Terrific! This is gold. Without a doubt, one of the best explanation I’ve ever heard about the hidden beauty of FAMs and NFP (Fertility Awareness Methods/Natural Family Planning). Plus the explicit statements about true love. I wish the WHOLE world could see this.
I think it's very important what he says about bringing back the notion of love to human sexuality, because in modern culture, it's almost controversial to say it. The dominant discourse is all about pleasure and (alleged) liberation, and there isn't even space for actual love. Love instead, is seen as oppressive (which obviously is paradoxical), for it denotes commitment, honesty, sacrifice. Some people see love as unwanted vulnerability, as losing in the power game. But then these are the same ones that have had previous intimate relationships. Often they would also watch 'adult' content. No wonder their hearts are broke.
Thank you Lila for having Jason Evert of The Chastity Project on your Exclusives interview. I so appreciated his mention that there was a time when Protestants also were against contraception. I went through the public school system in the Bay Area of CA through my freshman year of high school {before my family moved East} and was {without realizing it at the time} thoroughly indoctrinated into the idea that contraception/sterilization was a benefit of modern technology. Lila, I also appreciate your “Ditch Contraception” TH-cam video which planted the idea in my mind that there isn’t a need for sterilization - vasectomy/tubal ligation, and introduced the idea of natural family planning. Who knew? {Def not me, regrettably.}
The most natural thing in our marriage has been to monitor my cycles, but ditch the worry about whether we should abstain or not, take advantage of those special fertile periods, and trust in God's plan to bless us, whether that meant a child or not. It has been amazing. I feel like I missed out earlier in my marriage when we were trying so hard to abstain during ovulation. Nothing felt more unnatural for both of us.
We have to start from scratch in schools and with our families. Women need to stay at home and RAISE THEIR KIDS and dads need to be emotionally present. That’s a huge step to preventing premarital sex. We also need to put families and communities back into marriage making. I became chaste at 28, became religious and then married at 32. It’s possible, if I can do it, anyone can! My kids will have a very different childhood and be raised with Catholic values in a Catholic community.
We are spiritual beings housed in a human body-so it is a spiritual issue as well. Its very difficult to separate the definition and truth of what love is without understanding our spiritual context.
50:42 This is exactly why I don’t align with co-ed schools and haven’t since I was a girl in school. Co-ed schools makes our girls vulnerable to untrained boys. It’s no wonder, as he said, that girls don’t want to be girls or are identifying with identities that move them further away from boys/men. I don’t think that it’s understood how truly toxic schools can be for both sexes because they are put in situations they are not trained or ready for.
I don’t think the comment about Jordan Peterson is accurate, or perhaps he changed his opinion. He’s talked a lot about how the Pill was like an atomic bomb for society.
I’m glad to see someone else noticed that. Jordan Peterson is not an advocate of the pill. His wife also has given testimony to how it has harmed her life. Lila must have misheard something he said on it
Can anyone give me the link to the mentioned reference to the 'Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health' journal, with the claim that the majority of high school pregnancies are caused by contraceptive failure, not by failing to use contraception?
Peterson is critical of contraception. He made clear that it had a negative effect. I'd also like to debate the point of condoms in a marriage. If a married couple wants to space children, they can use condoms for however long they want, and upon wanting to conceive again, do it a couple of months without condom during infertile time, so the body gets used to the sperm again. 🤔 Apart from that: Stunning video!
In Catholic marriage, Marriage is a sacred partnership with God: the sacrament of holy Matrimony which lasts until death. The man gives 100% and the woman gives 100%. The man is the head and the woman is the heart of the home. The marriage must be open to, welcoming to, and nurturing of new life. The husband, as leader, with his wife must raise their children to know, love and serve God, enabling the family to be happy on Earth and forever with God in Heaven . Therefore, condoms are sinful because they thwart God's gift of life.
Time to find some good advice about how to be an active father and husband. It sounds so cliche to man up but thats literally what we need to do. Learn how to take risks and do things we don't immediately find pleasure in.
In regard to hos comment about a hypothetical 16 yo boy’s mindset and what love is-its not just about what’s best for the girl its what’s best for him too. Males have to own their own value as well and not just say its good for the girl that he abstain.
So this seems very idealistic and historic to me. How are you supposed to find the person for you if you wait till marriage for sex? If you aren’t compatible sexually but end up pregnant and no abortion allowed. That means the woman ends up with a child, as let’s face it nothing is ever split 50/50 and divorced. A lot of people stayed together years ago because they felt they had to and nobody should be forced to live an unhappy life.
I recently discovered traditional/herbal medicine from my country (Kenya) that works great (at least it's worked in the last 6 months). Other than that, OC worked but I hated swallowing those pills and begged God for years to help me and He did. Praying that you find something other than pills for you.
I'm not going to kiss it goodbye, that would indicate a actually care for it in any way. No, instead leave it behind, burn the bridge, and never look back. Just teaching children that sex outside of marriage is bad, teach them how it affects the mind, body, and soul. Sex ed in public education teaches them what sex is and how to have it, but not how it affects us.
I agree a lot with what he says but the whole thing about effeminate men and using Andrew Tate as an example probably wasn't the best argument when using Thomas Aquinas's definition of a feminine as the unwillingness of a man to put aside pleasure in order to pursue what is difficult. While I don't agree with Andrew Tate nor do I subscribe to his viewpoints on women and lifestyle choices I do give him credit where credit is due because he is a mixed martial artist and he made a huge change in his life which is very difficult putting aside a lot of pleasure to do that
1) Jason used the word “effeminate” not “feminine”. 2) Andrew Tate is effeminate because he is unable to order his sexual impulses to align with authentic human love, despite how hard he worked at kickboxing; in effect, he is a slave to his sexual passions.
That Planned Parenthood study you mentioned about how failure of contraception is the no 1 reason for pregnancy amongst students. They mean that people don't use them correctly, right? Which would make sense when you have young people and possibly alcohol involved. The way you represented it, it sounded like you meant the contraception failed, despite being used correctly.
It wasn't about whether correctly or incorrectly used. Pregnancy may sometimes happen even with correct use, although it's rare. So it's not only about personal failure to apply correct, but also those other, rarer, instances as well. Of course, the personal error would be perhaps the most common cause. The point was to distinguish the pregnancies that came about despite the contraceptive use - regardless of the failure cause (i.e. regardless of due to incorrect use, or not, the whole point was about the fact that the person was contracepting and, for whatever reason, the contraception failed resulting in pregnancy), and the pregnancies that came about because no contraceptives were used.
Contraception failure rates have two different stats. One the stat of those who fail to correctly use it, and one if for people with perfect use. I have a SIL who had a copper IUD in and managed to still great pregnant, likewise a friend who was on hormonal birth control and used a condom and got pregnant.
@@wms72 Right. The real world rate is much much higher compared to tests under strict conditions, because people fumble with old condoms in the dark, don't take their pills reliably etc. But contraception can absolutely work for a decades, if you pay attention to what you're doing, always. So wouldn't the conclusion be to teach people how to correctly use them? That wasn't his conclusion here...
The fact that failure rate is the predominant way people get pregnant implies that contraceptives are very effective and people use them a lot. It implies that removing contraceptives would result in more pregnancies not less.
In regard to hos comment about a hypothetical 16 yo boy’s mindset and what love is-its not just about what’s best for the girl its what’s best for him too. Males have to own their own value as well and not just say its good for the girl that he abstain.

Agreed. Sex isn’t shameful. It’s meant to be enjoyed. It is natural.

I love listening to Jason for years on the chastity topics. Hi from Australia.

Back to Courtship - at least with Courtship, there is a serious consideration of the person as a potential spouse.
Outstanding information. Another excellent “sex talk” for our teens to watch and discuss.
Thank you 🌸

When will they learn, sex is not love.
Sex is part of Love. Love is commitment a covenant with God inside of Marriage which is something sacred instituted by God. Sex on its on is nothing.
they all learn at 32 when almost all eggs are gone and are tired of the carousel
Pretty good though
That's the thing. People do know, but they choose to participate in the act anyway, for various reasons.
because they hear sex and love being used synonymously ALL the time?! have you heard commercials and the mind controlling affects of them?
It is a shame that the good boys were shamed if they were virgin.
