I am SOOO glad to hear that Linda is sharing her testimony like this! My own story is pretty similar to hers, but I haven't been led by the Holy Spirit to share it in any capacity. She said all the things I have been wanting for years to express to the LGBTQ community and to the church about how this sin works and how freedom from it is 100% possible in Christ! And she explained it all far better than I could have!
You must speak out, ask the Holy Spirit to help you share your testimony! As you open your mouth to speak the Holy Spirit will anoint your words! His word Never goes out and returns void. He led me yo speak to a guy lady one day and I was scared with not knowing what to say so I prayed and ask Him to help me on what to say to her so He opened the way for me to speak the right words to her. She was in tears under the moving of the Holy Spirit and cried as I told her that the Lord wants her to live her life the way He created her to be.

I really appreciate Linda's personal sharing. Her testimony and the comments of others who have struggled similarly gave me a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. We are all broken and easily tempted in different ways.
I think so much of society has decided to affirm because they are/were scared of the struggling person committing suicide. I pray all the confusion (for any struggle or addiction) is rebuked in Jesus name!

Amazing response, when she revealed her secret to the pastor. It's difficult to trust people because people push their judgements onto others in hurtful ways, thinking that they are helping, but realistically, they are hurting you.

I'm watching this on September 26, 2023, 18 years TO THE DAY after she heard God say she was created the way He desired her to be and she believed it. I have a son who is trying to live as a woman, a son who thinks he's gay, and a son on fire for the Lord. God has my family in his hands and all of my boys will turn back to God and live for Him. This gave me so much hope!

It seems to me that professionals like yourself who help people with their struggle are realizing the truthfulness of the bible. I am sure by now your profession has brought you to the conclusion that prayer (referred to as meditation), forgiveness, gratitude, generosity, being kind to others, fasting and many other concepts which the bible prescribes have all become part of mainstream counseling. I think it is time for you to move to explore Christ who is the ultimate psychologist so that you can help clients in this life and for the life to come. The bible in Mark 8 towards the end says it is useless for a person to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Since you are in the profession of helping people to think right and live right, why not help your clients find the source of life Himself so that they could live for eternity rightly?
How can I help an autistic male friend who wants to become a female? He's tormented by wanting to be a female and this is beyond my help but I really don't want him to go on hormones because it'll mess up his body and cause irreversable damage.

I struggle with family not seeing me and valuing me or my opinions because I choose to live for the Lord . I therefore , many many times , feel unimportant and not valued . That.was.amazing. Threads of her comments & experiences have been a part of my life and it’s hard working your way through what you don’t yet understand (especially when no one else seems to have elements of the same struggle), but when you cling to the Lord, He shows you who and whose you are, a daughter (or son) of the divine with eternal potential. I thought I was a lesbian in middle school because I loved my best friend. She was my everything and we were super close. When I told a trusted teacher that I thought I was a lesbian, she said, "You're still young. You have a lot of time to figure that out. Just give yourself time." I did, and as I thought about it and matured, I realized that I did love her... AS A FRIEND. I was just confused about what friendship and romantic love were, because I had never experienced them before. Today, I'm not confused. I thank that teacher for her wisdom and not pushing me into anything.
Very introspective and very nicely put. That teacher was exactly as a TEACHER should be. Non-judgemental, not PUSHING in whatever direction SHE believes, but encouraging and showing confidence in the student to investigate, take time, and figure things out. God's blessings to all.
My daughter has proclaimed that she is "pan" and "poly".... and my eldest granddaughter is rejecting her femininity. This message and another Dr. Seiler gave (Jesus & Gender) have given me SO MUCH understanding and wisdom for when I talk with them going forward. Things she said have shed SO much light on what has happened to both of them (daughter was assaulted by her own father) and how it has affected them. Thankfully granddaughter is opening up to coming to church with me and I believe she will receive healing... and with this information I will be less likely to make mistakes I would have made without it.

This is training that I need. Very eye opening and great use of scripture. Thank you so much. This will assist me in my approach to individuals so that they can be comfortable in sharing hard issues. My dad passed away when I was 12 and mom's hands were tied. Sad to say but nobody from the church took an intrest in me to guild and reveal God's word in a way that I could have grown spiritually. I got a real late start even had kids of my own who needed a father to guild them and I was like a fish out of water.

I needed this and didn’t even know it. I too had issues with my mother and ended up a tom boy. I didnt have the attraction to women, or wished to be a boy but I didn’t have anything in common with the other girls. I was always playing football at recess with the boys. I see now how this rejection by a mother early on can cause a wound deep in the soul that will change a child profoundly.

I always felt unwanted, only to discover at the age of 46, the holy spirit whispered to me, ask your mother, my father was a insecure abusive verbally and physical, she had already had my brother, unbeknown to her, she verbally spoke of not wanting me during her pregnancy, because she did not want to bring another child into this past marriage of hers, my peace with myself and understanding of my mother's situation, I have found forgiveness and understanding of why I was never wanted..🙏

Thanks for sharing that your mum wanted a boy. My brother is 31 months older than me and in betweeen, mum had twin girls, one lived 4 hours, the other 13, "the most beautiful angels you could ever see" according to my mum - then I arrived - another boy, more heartbreak and disappointment. The emotional pain she felt during her pregnancy with me did imprint on me in some subtle ways. All sorted now but, in hindsight, did impact. Particularly on my self-confidence and ongoing feelings that people do not really want me around. Fortunately our insights have come a long way since 1949 - thank you for sharing.

I think it is time for you to move to explore Christ who is the ultimate psychologist so that you can help clients in this life and for the life to come. The bible in Mark 8 towards the end says it is useless for a person to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Since you are in the profession of helping people to think right and live right, why not help your clients find the source of life Himself so that they could live for eternity rightly?

I thought I was a lesbian in middle school because I loved my best friend. She was my everything and we were super close.
When I told a trusted teacher that I thought I was a lesbian, she said, "You're still young. You have a lot of time to figure that out. Just give yourself time."
I did, and as I thought about it and matured, I realized that I did love her... AS A FRIEND.
I was just confused about what friendship and romantic love were, because I had never experienced them before.
Today, I'm not confused. I thank that teacher for her wisdom and not pushing me into anything.
Very introspective and very nicely put. That teacher was exactly as a TEACHER should be. Non-judgemental, not PUSHING in whatever direction SHE believes, but encouraging and showing confidence in the student to investigate, take time, and figure things out. God's blessings to all.

My daughter has proclaimed that she is "pan" and "poly".... and my eldest granddaughter is rejecting her femininity. This message and another Dr. Seiler gave (Jesus & Gender) have given me SO MUCH understanding and wisdom for when I talk with them going forward. Things she said have shed SO much light on what has happened to both of them (daughter was assaulted by her own father) and how it has affected them.

My dad passed away when I was 12 and mom's hands were tied. Sad to say but nobody from the church took an intrest in me to guild and reveal God's word in a way that I could have grown spiritually. I got a real late start even had kids of my own who needed a father to guild them and I was like a fish out of water.

I needed this and didn’t even know it. I too had issues with my mother and ended up a tom boy. I didnt have the attraction to women, or wished to be a boy but I didn’t have anything in common with the other girls. I was always playing football at recess with the boys. I see now how this rejection by a mother early on can cause a wound deep in the soul that will change a child profoundly.
Jesus is so beautiful. He is the king of glory who seteth us free and freely. Thank you Jesus for your precious blood that is still sanctifying us.

Thanks for sharing that your mum wanted a boy. My brother is 31 months older than me and in betweeen, mum had twin girls, one lived 4 hours, the other 13, "the most beautiful angels you could ever see" according to my mum - then I arrived - another boy, more heartbreak and disappointment. The emotional pain she felt during her pregnancy with me did imprint on me in some subtle ways. All sorted now but, in hindsight, did impact. Particularly on my self-confidence and ongoing feelings that people do not really want me around. Fortunately our insights have come a long way since 1949 - thank you for sharing.
