Kulas is one of the many Foreign vloggers whom I followed since I think 2018. As an OFW, I always watch news about the Philippines...(good news of course). So when I found Kulas channel, it became a habit to watch every single video uploaded as it showed me beautiful places in that part of the Philippines...and most of all ...only GOOD VIBES no matter how hard the situation is. Not same as other foreign vloggers I've watched. Kumander Daot is surely following the footsteps of Kulas, his vlogs are also fun to watch and he is embracing the culture (he speaks better Visaya than Kulas including the right accent)... Miki noodles is the famous & 1st brand and so when there were other competitor brands came out of that kind of noodles, everyone’s still use to call it Miki. It’s like when going to a sari sari store and buys a toothpaste, they ask for colgate and store keeper gives you a different brand and it’s all good for customers. Colgate was the famous brand!! 😊😊🤙🤙

Miki are thick egg noodles. The miki used for Pancit Guisado are a bit thicker than the miki used for beef mami but slightly thinner than the egg noodles used for Lomi. Jandee might be referring to Pinoys' penchant for making a popular product's brand the generic name for that product even if it's from a different brand. It's pretty common for people to go to a sari-sari store and say, "Pabili nga po ng colgate, yun pong Close-Up," or "pabili po ng coke, yun pong Sarsi." Sarsi is also a very popular and cheap soda brand esp in the rural areas, so you will also hear, "pabili po ng sarsi, yung Coke po." I'm not sure if it's just us, but i find it a quirky trait and not necessarily a bad thing. It's actually quite funny.
