Wow that looks amazing watched you make it and then to use it. Very good, will have to try cooking eggs in peppers as looks tasty. Keep up the great work.
Only issue I have here is the can of beans. All cans like that have a plastic liner to keep the can from rusting. Other than that it looks fantastic. Happy breakfast.
I just found your channel Gavin, and love what I'm watching. You're making the world (and internet) a much better place! You're a very talented man. Keep up the great work.
I have been cooking with Dutch ovens for years. This is the best setup I have ever seen. you have inspired me to make a rig like yours. same trend but with scrap I have on hand. Thank you for sharing. ( I made a Santa Maria fire pit years ago I may be able to add a plate to it.)
Reminds me of when my x-wife used to make deviled buzzard eggs... Makes me hungry just thinking about it.. I'm stopping by the next time I'm in the hood... Take care my friend...
SuperGavin. We also have the Dutch oven. We cook and grill a lot on the rocket stove I built. In the meantime I have built three more rocket stoves for friends. They're all excited. In October we're going back to southern Spain in the motorhome and of course we're taking the oven with us. Your videos are always great. Greetings from Germany. And I
Thank you very much, I am glad you like my videos. It is good that you use your Dutch oven, and even better that you have built a rocket stove and use it yourself for cooking, and traveling safely in your motorhome, I appreciate your comment. Greetings from Australia.
Hi Gavin. I would say that your fire pit works well! Much more cooking surface than you would usually have when camping or even on a BBQ grill. Neat! Thanks for the video! -mike
Thank you very much Mike, I am glad you liked it. The best thing is at night you an have a decent fire to sit around without haveing to cut the wood up small. Cheers!
You gotta be careful with modern cans mate, most have an internal plastic lining so not usually a great idea to cook in the can any more. Looks bloody awesome though!
What a versatile unit and crafty build. Do you smoke meats? Could fab a sleeve for center section have a two piece lid to allow for hanging lamb, ribs from your center pole for access maybe? Or have a grill to hold inside? If you can’t tell I love smoking meats…be easy to move coals and wood around the bottom of sleeve section with access. Enjoy seeing your projects!
Hi Scott, I do not smoke meats, I have put them in a food dryer (like you do for apples - to make dried apples) and this worked well, for our camping many years ago. Your comment makes me think of doing it. I will have a play one day. I love your idea. Thank you.
In the USA, we call that a dutch oven. There are dutch oven groups all over who do cookouts together. I have 2 dutch oven cookbooks! Love your set-up. It's totally Aces!
Looks like a forge for cooking 🙂 Very well done fire pit and a well done video. Maybe you need to make some tongs for grabbing cans and hot plates out of the fire next? Thanks!
Watching you use the build is as gratifying as watching you build it indeed! 💙 Shared your channel with a friend who has similar interests as you, can't believe it took me this long to realize he'd love you too ❣️ 🤗
Just found you web site and watched you make the Metal Outdoor Fire pit. OMG I would give my back teeth for one of those, it is absolutely brilliant. You need to make them on commission. Keep up the fantastic work👍👍👍 PS I'm borrowing the egg in pepper idea.
@@GavinClarkdiyMuito bacana! Não me arrependi de ter assistido o vídeo do início ao fim... Usaria bastante se tivesse um desses! Certeza! E faria boas comidas...
Thank you so much for doing this follow up! 😊❤
You are so welcome! Thank you for your comment.
Hah the good old days. I'd like a set like that, I kick my stove out,
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it.
I'm cooking my eggs in capsicums from now on, what a great idea.
You won't go back to egg rings after that. Thank you for your comment
Sitting on my couch in Florida with my mouth watering, thanks.
Hahaha, thank you very much Mark, I am glad you liked it.
thats a pretty good breakfast! funny i watched the build and i thought the coals would go under the firepit
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it, I have a "flatsheet" camping one that the coals go under. Cheers!
Awesome fire-pit/grill/cooker/bbq there mate. Kudos!
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it.
Thank you for the idea! I'll definitely do something like this and will cook my breakfast in it! Thanks Gavin!
Thank you very much, I wish you the best for your project.
Thank you my friend
Thank's for watching.
Wow I understood how to use it when you made it. It’s very cool and now you’ve made me hungry 😅👍
Thank you very much. I had a few comments so I thought I would answer them with a quick video.

Go for it, it works very well. Cheers!
Looks like a gr8 meal.
It was very nice, thank you for your comment.
Very well done loved the build as well
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment.
Such a polite gentleman😊
Oh man, that bread in the Dutch oven looked perfect.
Thank you very much, we like this type of cooking over the fire, mainly when camping. Thank you for your comment.

I watched that build and - as a camper me' self - thought it was way more than interesting. Terrific to see it function so well - just fabulous 🙂

Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment. The can did not get super hot, even some of the paper had not burnt, But you make a good point.
Enjoyed the "ran out of room in pan" nom nom on pepper piece!
Hahaha, I have a habbit of eating them, thanks for your comment David.
Beautiful setup. If I hadn't just had breakfast a few minutes ago I would be starving. Food cooked outdoors over wood coals always tastes better.
Yes, yes, yes, I love that campfire cooking too.
Enjoy the video someone said in comments no heinz the food dished up looked like a piece of art Yum you left a lot of people hungry 🥩🍗🍖🥓🌭🍳🍸🍾
I can tell you many of my cook-ups do not look as good as this one Dawn, but they still get eaten. Keep well, it is good to hear from you.

Gavin, thank you for sharing this video. I enjoyed seeing it in use as much as I enjoyed watching you build it.
Thank you very much John, I appreciate your comment.
Works great thanks for showing how you use it. I was surprised the cutting board did not have a rebar handle… love watching the videos
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. Hahaha I will have to fix that cutting board, Thank you for your comment.
Made my day seeing that buddy, epicness! Makes good sense now
Thank you very much Ned, I am glad it helped. Thank you for your comment.
Thanks for showing us it in use. looks like an amazingly practical tool. i could see this being used every weekend and lasting generations.
Thank you very much. Yes, it does get quite a bit of use, even if there is no cooking happening, nothing better than sitting around a campfire.
Power breakfast of champions. Thank you Gavin!
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment. We must keep our energy up.
nice work Gav

WOW that was amazing. Well done GAV, I really enjoyed that.
Thanks very much mate, we will have to catch up at some stage.
Great build and a good looking breakfast Gavin, but how do you’ll eat pork & beans for breakfast. Thank You, Sir
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. I have no problems eating that breakfast, we don't have it all the time.
Nice setup. Watched your construction video and nice to see it functioning. Could easily see that outside a hut deep in the bush.
More cooking please. Would like to see venison, or hog done. Have your friends over for said meat.
I don't plan on doing many cooking videos on the channel, I appreciate your comment.

BBs are such a popular BBQ and camping item the manufacturers would do well to say, "Okay to cook in open can." If it is okay, of course.
What a versatile unit and crafty build.

Brilliant!👍
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it.
You're most welcome, Sir.
Nice, bonappettite! Here we also have oven call mangal! A bit higher. We can cook meat and vegetables, kebab, on special metal sticks. )
Awesome, it is good to do these things and even better if there are a few people eating and sitting around. Cheers!

Hi Gavin, delicious breakfast 😁😁😁. Your temperature is the same as in Poland 18 'C after a heatwave close to 40'C 😰 it's even pleasantly cool.
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. It was about 14 C on the cooking day, and not a bad day at all, Greetings from Australia.
An awesome setup. One point deduction for not using Heinz beans……:D

Like how you have removed the bail from the iron pots. The bars that you used to remove the lid are they something you made?
Yes Andrew, just something I made, I have used them for many years.
Its bad ass!! thanks for the videos.

Great build but, is there a reason it’s so low?
It gets used late into the night sometimes and we sit around it , being low lets he heat get you low just like a campfire.
Now I’m hungry!
