I have two forges, two powerhammers, and a hydraulic forging press. I can make this is moments. BUT. You do it with brains and finesse. As opposed to brute strength. Brilliant use of strategic heat and pressure. As always? You Sir are an effing Beast of a Madman!! Your skills always amaze me.
I heard there's a lot of big construction in your area that's fallen behind schedule because of a shortage of rebar. Great build. I like how you introduced heat to this project. Anyone with a gas BBQ can get a torch for under a hundred and do the same.
Hahaha, I have my special contacts to get me the rebar, big construction can wait, hahaha. Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it, yes I try to keep the tools simple, and in most cases quite cheap. Thank you for your comment.
Nice to see another video Gavin. You truly are a metal master-smith! You know exactly how much heat, and where to apply it to get the result you need with the bend. It was fascinating to watch. Great job!
I really liked your hot bending of the rings with pipe, i use the same method to straighten out coil spring when i'm blacksmithing. It all looked really neat and tidy when finished, great job Gavin.
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. You would need a lot more heat to do a coil spring than what I am using, blacksmithing is so cool, and relaxing to watch, I enjoy watching it. Cheers Brett.
I like how you free form your bends and also make them look real neat, no jigs, just a good eye for it. Think something like this as a gift to some camping friends would be great so I will give it a try.

Mr. R, you might not be a roll model for safety, but you sure have become a master at bending and working rebar... Another job well done.. Take care my friend and God Bless...
I loved the subtle humor when you showed the Alpha cutoff disc, then the Alpha flap disc, and then the very old pipe wrench! Lol! Another great project! I’m sure the yabbies will be lined up to end their days under this tripod! I never tire of watching your projects, but I do have a suggestion! Get some t-shirts made up that say “Rebar Fears Me!”! Keep on bendin Gav!
Just making one of these , really love your attention to detail in getting the raised lines along the rebar to be at the sides on all the parts you bend! a small detail, but really adds a quality look to the finished job. Regards from UK!
I like your content. Reminds me of my hobby when I was MUCH younger. I have, since, given my blast furnace, crucibles, forge, green sand flasks, green sand mixer and two of my transfer hammers to my old partner. I got too old and decrepid to do that hobby.
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. You must have made some awesome stuff over the years, not to mention all the memories that you still have. Cheers! mate.
Maravilloso trabajo, gracias por compartir. todo el proceso resulta muy sencillo a la vista, sin embargo cuenta de una enorme creatividad y secuencia de orden que establece el éxito final, Felicitaciones.
I've not done much work with metal, but extensive work with wood. Your video has inspired me to try some projects like this one. I love your work and your video. Thank you very much for sharing!
Thank you very much, I am glad you liked it. That would be a large tripod, many years ago we used a large tripod I made from 2 inch pipe and a chain block for lifting engines in and out of cars etc. The good old days. Cheers Paul.

I made one years ago, but I like the way you did it better. I welded steel washers about 15mm from the bottom of the legs so they wouldn't sink into soft soil, but kept the points a bit sharp. Thanks for the video. Jon
Awesome project. Really cool idea. Great idea for camping trip or in the bush. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep forge Lit. Keep making. God bless.

Do you sell these
I've been watching this guy for a couple of years. He's about as good as they get cold forming bar stock.
As much rebar as you use I am surprised a rebar manufacturer hasn't offered you stock options.
Awesome build.
Thank you very much Chris, I am happy you liked it. I appreciate your comment.
That you were able to make the "eye" bend in the rebar without using a mandrel is VERY impressive. That's some metal-working skill right there.
