    Damn that thing looks so darn good! Excellent build video. Makes me want one…. Very cool! Red and black I’ve always been one of my favorite color combinations!
    I have heard good things about those Amazon servos… good to know! Plenty quick for that thing.

      It's very reasonably priced.. Just need a tx/rx, servo and battery to complete it. It was a fun build and can't wait to take it out this weekend. $20 us for four of those metal gear servos is cheap and so far can take some abuse.

    This is making me want another. I had the original back in the 80's my 1st R/C that I even took to my local indoor track for off-road and oval. 1st thing I had to upgrade was the half-shafts wow were those garbage. Those things stripped out the 2nd time around the track but aftermarket dogbones went in. I had to buy a whole new diff for those to work. 2nd weak but still lasted some time was the front steering knuckles. They eventually snapped. Aftermarket back then came out with SOLID blocks that had holes drilled in them. You will NEVER snap those. I have no idea if those are still available. Other than that, everything held up. I had more fun with that truck than any R/C in my life. I was 15 years old maybe, now 51. lol

      I just turned 48 and always wanted one back in my teens but couldn't afford one cause I had the Kyosho Vanning.. This rere Blackfoot is awesome! I have a video running it in the mud and it held up great on 3s..

      My dad built the original Blackfoot as a special project for when I was born in 1987. He did put a lot of aftermarket suspension parts into it. I loved playing with that truck as a kid. But as the years went on, it fell into disrepair and the batteries went obsolete many years ago and eventually died altogether. I've been looking at the modern version.

    How did you install the on/off switch? Did it plug into something? This is a great video!!

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The switch is part of the esc and wouldn't fit in the stock location. It's normal with these rere kits. I built around 10 different styles of reres and none of the switches fit. Thanks

      @dasandman1234 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nwirc yeah the reason I'm waiting for that one is because the rear shocks are in the normal direction and not leaning towards the front like the normal Blackfoot. Otherwise I would have just gone with a normal one.

    Looks good to bad it's not 4wd but it's the tamiya frog chassis with some suspension upgrades.
    You should have painted though you put the decals on and by use they'll get chewed up as well so I would have painted the body maybe even change the color.
