you should add that Robin is BIS for FUA team and RM is BIS for Breaker team
Let's also not forget about split scaling characters (Fire MC), Def scaling (Aventurine), Hp scaling (Blade, Fu Xuan) and Break teams. Ruan
Mei is best in slot for every such team comp or future weird scaling characters since her buffs will always affect every unit with 100% effectiveness.
RM is still in a class of her own even at E0.

Argenti can't be a rerun since both newbies are physical, that could ruin all of their value collectively, and there's been a ton of Harmony units, so Ruan Mei's rerun is unlikely

Fair analysis. But every account is different. As an example, all my teams are Crit Hypercarries, so Sparkle would be the most valuable of the 3. This doesn't mean the others are bad, after all, I use 4 or more supports for MoC and Pure Fiction, the more the better

Hi I need a bit help. My two DPS is Acheron and Jingliu. I use sparkle with acheron but my jingliu's dmg falls behind should I go for Robin or save for Ruan mei? My current Jingliu team is her, SW, March and Tingyun 😢. Pls I need help I'm f2p
@@parsanawar Either of them would work well. If it was me, I would go for Robin since we don't know when RM comes back. You can also wait for the analysis and showcases after Robin arrives to make a safer decision

Question would Robin or Ruan mei better for my main team Acheron, pela, and aventurine right now I have sparkle but I want to use sparkle with my jing yuan, luocha, and Bronya team
Nice video. The closer her exit is, the more videos of her playing in different teams emerge. On average, it comes out as +- RM. Where Robin usually wins in quick runs (happens for a cycle), and vice versa in longer battles
It's actually quite pleasing to see that I can safely skip Robin, since I already have e1s1 Ruan Mei. Word has it Fu Xuan's rerun is coming in 2.2 and I *really* need more 5 star sustains, right now having only Luocha and Gepard (the latter of which really isn't reliably as solo sustain).

I got my Acheron team mostly finished but my new jingliu team only has luocha so I need 2 harmony for it
Yep, thats the exact same conclusion I reached. Robin is nice and thanks to her added personal damage even weaker units will be dealing some nice numbers, but her Atk focused buffs and not generating SP during her ult holds her back imo, and since you want her ult to be up as often as possible you REALLY want to get her sig as well, even in FuA teams, wich makes her a pretty expensive unit. Meanwhile Ruan mei is god tier in 99% of teams at E0S0, with meshin cogs alone my is able to 3 turn ult. I do like Robin's design a lot more so I will get her on a rerun

not really imo, it’s more she wants fua teams in order to keep her energy up (otherwise she can’t rly) but she doesn’t give as much dmg bonus as rm and cant generate sp while her ult is active so she’s more likely to give u sp problems than rm, esp w action advance. also her atk% buff is useless on aven while rm is universal. i would say she’s not worth it for u

Well dhil is still a selfish DPS, where he wants to be played in a solo dps team, and for that sparkle is way to go, using Robin there will be a waste

The thing about hypercarry teams is that although Sparkle is best for them, the same team still wan't Ruan Mei on these teams. Same with Dual-dps on no-sustain teams or just on teams that have 2 attackers that meet the elemental weaknesses of the enemies.
On no-sustain teams, Ruan Mei is also more valuable to be put on that spot considering she has potential to use her Ult on turn 1 to speedblitz enemies, along with the indirect sustain of delaying enemies in a "Stunned" state.
As a complete package (Eos1), Ruan Mei is the most valuable as well since she not only gives additional dmg, she also gives SP, as well as energy.

I'm in the market for a second limited harmony (I already have Sparkle) and Robin sounds perfect. She'll fit right into my Jingliu or Seele teams, and I want to test her with hypercarry Topaz.
As far as I see it, Sparkle is best in slot for Hypercarry teams, Ruan Mei for break effect teams (which don't exist yet), and Robin is best in slot for FuA, Dual/Triple Dps and IS better for DoT however Ruan performs just as well in the only meaningful DoT team cause Kafka is built different. I don't know how one can be so biased to call Ruan Mei the most vualable or versatille, Robin clearly has more use cases than any harmony in the game 😂
If you are comparing use cases, Robin can be used on the teams that uses Ruan mei and ruan mei can be used on teams that wants Robin, the fact that makes Ruan mei so good, is not just the damage buffs, it's the fact that all her buffs, all 100% of her kit will always be viable no matter where you use it... Sparkle will excel at hyper carry, and Robin will Excel in dua. DPS or follow up attack teams, but they both falls short in each others teams, I never said that Ruan mei is the best offensive buffer, it's her comfort of use, her SP positivity, speed increase, crowd control, and the fact that there is literally no team that can't use Ruan mei, is what makes Ruan mei more valuable of a pull than other harmony characters, you may think that I'm biased, but these are just facts, ask all the top theory crafters and they will say the same thing...
But then again it's a freakin gacha game, so Ruan mei will probably get powercrept at some point, but that point hasn't arrived yet...

Sparkle can buff multiple allies with her dream diver skill. It like maximum two can have the buff at the same time. You have to build fast Sparkle slow Follow up DPS. She is actually the best follow up support but not beginner friendly so Ruan Mei is preferred

RM’s pure buffs are better than Robin’s theoretically for DoT teams but you aren’t taking into account of the advance forward/extra attacks on every hit. That changes everything and it’s been proven she out-cycles/provides more damage overall to the team then RM on DoT consistently.

I already have an Acheron team so i only need atleast 1 Harmony support for the other team which is a dual dps (Crit or DoT). Since i already have Ruan Mei, i might just pull for her E1 on her rerun than pulling for E0 Robin.

For me its more of a need to have a team buffer for FuA while my Ruan Mei stays in the Kafka/BS team. Also there's one thing in which I disagree, that is ease of building, Robin doesn't need that much speed because of the way that her burst works, while Sparkle really does and we know speed is a lot harder to farm, there's also the point that Robin can wield many pieces on atk%, be it orb, body, even feet. While to get sparkle's crit damage and speed you really only have one option for each, besides that the speed substat is rarer, meaning Sparkle is way harder to build. I was preparing some relics for Robin and I hit 4k atk with 2pc/2pc easily with the event 4* cone we'll be receiving, its a matter of drop %, just hope the team makes farming better.

Tbh if we talk about versatility RM is far better than robin and sparkle a well build RM can support CRIT,DOT,FUA and BE teams without a problem while robin are at her best when supporting FUA or DOT team(im not sure if this is still the case didint check leaks for a long while) and sparkle is just a better bronya which specialised on crit unit and let u turn off ur brain thx to the SP she provides now all of them is still harmony so even if u put sparkle into a DOT team she will still do an amazing job same goes to robin but can they do it like RM does no RM flexible is soo good that even tho i have sparkle CRIT,FUA and DOT team is still fighting over RM that how good and flexible she is compared to the other choice

I have e0s1 RM and a e0s0 sparkle, i just use sparkle more often than ruan mei. Like just slap here there and the team will perform better (or at least smoother for me) even in dual dps and dot (the action forward for kafka is a game changer)

RM is more comfortable to play
I have more substat luck with attack boots than speed so sparkle and bronya are godsent units for me. The +10 speed of ruan mei is also nice but at the end of the day i can just use em both in hyper carry.
Sparkle kinda support dual dps unlike mei team where two dps do same dmg priority, in sparkle team 1 is main and another is sub dps.

@@marupurusaivamsi4802 that's not true . Sparkle give 4 sp every ultimate and then she uses three . Netting 1 sp every ultimate . But she also gives as influx of extra 4 sp on the first turn . So it's 5 sp . Then 1 net sp per ultimate . And to function she need to use her skill every turn . On the other hand Ruan mei does not use skill . 3 sp then 2 sp every three turn net positive

Why not wait for their reruns?
Not to say that Robin is overhyped, but to me it seems that a lot of people don't realize how much speed-tuning she will need. People complain about Bronya being annoying to speed-tune, but to make the most of Robin's team advance, your other three characters would like to be roughly around the same speed. If her allies are all over the action order, her ult will only advance 2 or even 1 character in a significant manner. there is also the issue of a character having their own action advancement/speed buffs (Jingliu, Selle, etc) that can change the action order. Regardless, Robin will still be a great pickup for a majority of the playerbase.
I feel like its the opposite, she is by far the most doom posted harmony out of the bunch
Robins ult 100% advances the entire team no matter where they are. It’s Bronya skill as an ult. It doesn’t matter if your Gepard is 92 speed and black swan is 161 speed. They will all take action immediately after each other and before the enemy.
Also yeah what you said is completely wrong, her ult makes everyone insta take turn, no speed tuning needed

@@sittingcrowd912 thats also not true, you simply aren’t getting enough speed to get 3 cycles in a turn with your teammates, that requires an effective 200 speed, and 134 speed which allows for 2 cycles in a turn is typically what most people will run anyways on any other team with any other character
two questions - a) wouldn't robin prefer 2piece ww 2piece prisoner for +24% attack, instead of the speed boost of 4 piece ww,
b) would vonwaqc be better than penacony in most situations, since that lets you skill early in phase 1 on your slow comp, and there arent really any physical charas worth running her with currently?
Her build can be different based on what are your goals are, afcourse the extra attack can be good, but if you already have higher attacks stats then the extra speed becomes a better overall option. As for vonwaq, sh already gets a bit of action advance through her passives

I think this was an overall very good analysis, and I agree that Ruan Mei is the overall best Support.
The one thing I disagree with is saying that they are equally easy/difficult to build. One of Ruan Mei's best relic set options we get from weekly bosses. So you don't even need to farm her relics if you don't want to. Getting the needed break effect isn't too hard. Comparing that to 160 speed Sparkle isn't relatable. The average player can't easily get that much speed. I'd consider myself pretty dedicated and have been playing 6 months and still the only way I can get anyone to 160 is by having Ruan Mei or Asta on the team and even then it's only Tingyun and Pela.

Yes sparkle can do it. But, she can't heal. She can only advance forward and even when the character get stunned (mostly) still not able to move and debuff status still applied.

Try to get Robin E1, it makes her better that E1 Ruan Mei I hear. It gives about 24% All Type RES-PEN which is literally Ruan Mei's entire ult.
I skip aventurine, robin, and boothill. For the sake of Firefly. Robin seems hard for me. Sparkle and Bronya are my favorite so far and ez to use. 😊

Something just clicked with me in Robin's kit and her compatibility with FuA teams. Her ult attacks after EVERY ally attack (120% of her attack + guaranteed 150% crit dmg). Meaning, every single follow-up attack will apply this damage. A lot of the debates I've been seeing were kind of dogging on Robin because if a team uses Aventurine, then theoretically Ruan Mei would be better bc she offers a flat damage bonus that would assist Aventurine since he scales off of DEF. However, I think Robin will honestly truly shine with characters like Aventurine. If her ult does exactly what it says it does, then that means it will perform that attack after EVERY SINGLE BOUNCE that Aventurine's follow-up would do. Meaning if Aventurine attacks 7 times during his FuA, so does Robin. So theoretically, with a 4k atk Robin you'd be doing somewhere around 12k per ult hit 7 TIMES with a SINGLE Aventurine FuA ON TOP of his already pretty decent dmg. If theres a single enemy on the field and that attack bounces 7 times onto them... Oh man 💀

Well with her Nerf to her dupes she's definitely not RM lvl for overall content Especially With Boothill, SAM and HMC Officially starting the Break Meta is only going to Push RM even more so into the spotlight.
Now Robin vs Sparkle is interesting but after watching the gameplay I'd say it is a tie Like RM, Sparkle is more flexible however in FUA team Robin is unmatched so the definitive second best support is still up in the air so far IMO.
Nah, most hypercarry would still prefer Sparkle for the extra sp, it's not even close to a tie, Sparkle wins neg diff. Robin might be the most trash character if they release her as she is now, prolly the worst selling character after Dr.Ratio(cause he was free)
Also you underestimate Sparkle,she has the fastest clear times out of every harmony characters in moc, Tingyun was finally beaten for the first time after sparkle's release in terms of fast clear times in MOC
She sing in her ult already better for me
You failed to mention the most fatal drawback of Robin and the most important to talk about: Her energy cost. Around 80% of her buffing capability and utility are locked behind her 160 cost ultimate which is INSANELY high cost for an Ult dependent harmony character. And to add salt onto a fresh wound, there's only a few if not not a single F2P LC option that can patch this drawback well. It's almost as if Hoyo is trying to sell her Signature LC which can 100% fix her problem.
In an F2P setting (E0S0) :
1. Hypercarry: she will have HUGE problem getting back her ult in exactly 3 turns as there's significantly less hit to generate energy for her.
2. Dual DPS: a bit better but still clunky to use and incosistent buff uptime. Sure dual DPS setting benefits from her teamwide buff, but is it really? If we put uptime into consideration, i think it's a "eughh, well.. yeah.. but not really" situation. The problem in this team can be resolved, but this will result in a more tricky and complex way to build her.
The only team that she will consistently benefitting is Dual FuA DPS team. Her buff uptime will be almost permanent and her damage output doubled if not tripled. So it's important for players to know that she is more likely to be niche and REPLACEABLE in general scenario, especially if you already have Sparkle, Ruan Mei, Bronya, and/or Tingyun. If you want to improve your FuA team pull for her, if not, then META wise it's better to save your jade.
I don't think she's on the same level as Ruan Mei (absolutely) and Sparkle (arguably) in general scenario. She will be tightly and closely hanging below Sparkle. In a dual DPS FuA team she is no doubt the best, tho'.
One more thing that's worth mentioning is that she's even less versatile than Sparkle and Ruan Mei since not all DPS scales off of Atk. The most popular and arguably most powerful dual DPS composition Blade ft Jingliu will not benefits more from Robin compared to Ruan Mei and arguably Sparkle.
plus he forget that forward advanced is gate locked by that ult cost
and since speed is the most common build for any harmony, it means faster time for her ult to lost effect and harder to charge(not sure about this
since its not released yet to totally test the uptime of ult) if she does not have speed either way there is no chance for her to be SP positive because she will take more time charge SP.
and all team advanced forward isnt that great since its only viable for multiple dps and its useless if the action order is like (Robin, dps, dps, enemy and so on.. you should wait with something like (enemy, enemy, dps, dps and so on...) a situational ult. Unlike sparkle single target which you can spam endlessly.
she is great on dual comp of topaz and ratio because her ult additional dmg will work on FuA setup
I feel like bronya is still better than Robin, Robin buffs arent that big compared to bronya on overall scenario
and bronya is not limited character, Robin good on FuA but other than that, dont pull her if you have DoT and hypercarry teams
With RM break efficiency along with delay weakness broken state plus PEN
With Sparkle additional SP and can 2 turn cycle advanced DPS and high ceiling of CD buff(if w/LC she give more buff)
Robin additional dmg and eff res plus as a harmony character she loses value so much plus she cant take action during ult which makes her not SP positive
@@san8838 just to mention something, Robin speed does not affect her ult uptime. When she enters the ult state, her speed is set at 90 (like a LL without stacking mechanics) and when it ends she instantly get her turn back (0 action value, so it makes building high speeds on her pretty nice for ult cycling and compensating her lack of sp gen)

I have the current 3 5star harmonies, and without a doubt, regardless if theyre crit or not, atk or not, Ruan Mei is always the one who comes on top.
For example, in MoC, i tried using Acheron + 2 Nihility + Ruan Mei / Sparkle and the difference is quite noticeable. While the RM variant had a lot of leeway for the 0 cycle run, Sparkle needed so much reset just to 0 cycle and even then its just barely making it.
One can say what is wrong with my Acheron BUT the fact that the result was that, its going to be hard to convince me otherwise. My acheron is E0S1 with 65/200 ratio.
It’s probably your Acheron sparkle is a crit damage booster if you don’t have good rate then there’s always a chance you miss (btw is the 65 before the stat buffs from sets or after and also what speed is your sparkle)
if your sparkle isnt action advancing your carry 3 times in a cycle then the builds trash ngl

@@toadsage8965 65/200 is before any buffs. Thats her base ratio from relics traces and lc. My acheron has 4.3k atk as well. Sparkle is at 167 Spd with Bronya LC, and 180 crit dmg. Then there is also Keel from Sparkle's planar.

Trust me DDD will outdamage her lc and any cd you build since your carry is getting whole other turn and in Acherons case that could translate to another ult especially if you consider your nihility characters will get action adv too for potentially another turn for more energy for acheron
Now this is just speculation so let me cook here. If what we read is true then doesn't this mean she is perfect for the FUA. By that I mean it says after any ally attack she does what imma assume is a follow up. So that would mean in a single turn we could see. Robin actually can replace ruan mei for DoT team especially if shes c1 for the damage boost, attack, advance all teammates = more DoT stacks, and elemental resistance in her c1, also she can add more damage to the team because of her additive damage in her Ult state.
first of all before you say Ruan is better than DoT yes shes better but Boothil about to became playable which make ruan mei and mc harmony his best team
Yeah that's a fair point, but Ruan is not just know for her damage boost, sp generation, crowd control, weakness break efficiency and pretty good personal damage

Ruan mei will be better long term just because stacking res pen and def ignore scales much better than attack/crit dmg up. Robin looks like an easy skip unless you really like her.

I don't know why even though Ruan Mei provides much more damage than Robin, so many videos on YT say that Robin has more amplification... I tried the character in PV and I can say that it is the opposite. They said the same about hanabi with bronya and the reality is that bronya provides more damage but hanbi has more active buff time, robin provides less damage than ruan mei but she has a 100af that makes things equal but in raw damage amplification Ruan mei > Robin, Robin also works quite well in Dot, people think that Ruan mei is much better when the difference in damage is not high

Ruan Mei is more futureproof and more flexible. You can put her in almost, if not all, teams. But if you're going to create a follow-up attack team, Robin is miles better.
Robin is better in dot teams and in hypercarry teams, so unless we get all Hp/def scaling dps units from now on, Robin is also futureproof

Don’t care for dot and break teams since I am a FuA enjoyer so Robin for me plus she has far better animations than RM. All of RM’s budget was in her kit because the animations are one of the most lackluster in the entire game for a harmony
Well I think Ruan mei has some great animations...
I also want to pull Robin for her animation and song mechanic at first but her song is such a turn off. Wish they went with more fiery song like the Cocolia boss them and not some cute wholesome song in the middle of a literal fight. Honestly, the battle soundtrack is much better imho
And other than Sparkle who I 100% agree with you who are these other characters with better animations? Because I can maybe think of 1 other who’s about on par and the rest are definitely worse.
Ruan Mei's character concept incorporates "elegance" in all aspects and part of what is considered to be "elegant" with regards to movement is a lack of wasted motions.
She seems "lackluster" perhaps because she's not exaggerated like, for example, Sparkle who is designed to be completely over the top and downright cartoony with her bouncy walk and roundhouse kick for an attack. Ruan Mei is designed to conform to typical Asian beauty standards. That's why she's soft spoken, that's why she enjoys opera, that's why she has very smooth animations. To embody "elegance."
It may not be your cup of tea, but that doesn't make it lackluster.

I like Robin, and her ult concept is fun, but I would really like her to be a bit more focused on follow-up teams. First because they don't have a dedicated support and second because I need to be able to skip a few characters before the inevitable Sam release.
Hoyo, please let me be able to skip 2.2! I got Acheron, I'll roll for Aventurine, I got Black Swan and Sparkle last patch as well -- let me rest for a bit, please! Stop releasing "must have" characters for one patch. Focus on FUA for one cycle so I can skip for the love of whatever god you hold sacred! Having a Preservation followed by a Harmony is evil enough already, not even counting the fact that Luocha is currently on the banner as well. That's 3 banners with Abundance, Preservation and Harmony (plus who knows who else is returning, my bets are on Fu Xuan and maybe Huohuo for maximum irony, otherwise FX and Argenti) limited characters in a row.
